You can order pizza by the slice and we got one cheese and one Eddie would go. Pineapple and ricotta go well together. I got their chicken parmigiana. Husband got Caesar salad and chicken Philly. Went here with the family last night. The service was pretty rough. We were immediately seated and then waited 5-10 minutes before the server appeared. There was only one other table with guests in our section. Our server would randomly disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time. I had to stand up and walk around the restaurant two times looking for her. I did notice her chatting at length multiple times with another employee who appeared to be either a busser or someone from the kitchen. Every time we were brought plates, they were one short. Fortunately, there was a bartender nearby and I was able to ask her for an additional plate so we could all eat. The best part of the meal was the burrata we ordered as an appetizer. The pizza came out warm, not hot. It had cooled enough that from the very beginning we had to use a butter knife to re-cut the mozzarella because it was too cool to peal. The pizza with tomatoes and basil looked decent, but was extremely bland. Everyone ended up adding salt and a ton of mozzarella to it. The pizza with Alfredo sauce and several cheeses and balsamic had enough flavor, but unfortunately was cool enough that it already had pools of oil on top. I was told this place was featured on DD&D. That must've been a long time ago and I wouldn't be surprised if it was different ownership at that time. My advice: just sit at the bar and eat an appetizer or two. The pizza dough was the perfect combination of savory and sweet. The right kind of thickness, baked and crisped deliciously! The toppings were generous. The size of the pizza was insane! Plenty of leftovers for just two people. It is for sure worth recommending... if you don't take my word for it, just walk by the restaurant and take in the delicious smells! The pizza here is amazing and the restaurant used to be one of my favorites here in Park City for decent priced good food that's quick. Service has gone down the past year or so. We always have a large party; but still 12 or less and servers are adamant that it's 1 bill for the entire party. If you ask for a refill or extra ranch from one of the workers other than your server you are greeted with a bit of an attitude and they walk off and talk to fellow employees about you. I know this because I walked behind them when I went to the restroom and heard it myself. Hopefully this culture within the restaurant changes as I used to enjoy this place. Update... Went to give this restaurant another swing and they are currently on strike two. Nothing has changed with service or attitudes. Stay tuned for one more shot and then I'll never eat here again. I swear I don't know how this place is still open. I guess they are resting in their laurels from the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives poster. Been here a few times and this will be my last. As per usual the service is awful. There always seem to be ample staff but all they do is stand around. Takes a long time to get anyone to come over so we can order. Food takes a long time to come out and they are always out of something. Another thing that seems to happen frequently here is that they add an extra something to the bill. This is an average Italian place with a bar. Sports on the TVs and average service. Our waitress was nice enough and did her job but nothing stood out at all. I wasn't super hungry so I just ordered a side caesar salad and a cup of their soup of the day (clam chowder). They were average at best, but I wasn't going to fault them considering I didn't order an entree. The rest of the table got a pizza and some other items. The feedback was the food was okay. We always get excited to visit Maxwells. However this time was totally a disaster. My family of 5 and 1 yr old grandson were seated right away. The ambiance hasn't changed which is good. They brought us a highchair and the wood piece that stops a baby from slipping out the bottom was broken. I see everyone was busy and I got up to retrieve a different highchair that was near the hall to public restrooms. The "manager" immediately came to see what I was doing. She removed the broken chair and went to whisper in the waiter/servers ear. Odd... we ordered cokes all around except for the bby who got rootbeer. When be brought them they were all diet cokes. He said we are all out of coke. So we ordered Dr. Pepper and sent the diet back. We have no idea why he didn't tell us he was out of coke. The " Dr Peppers" came and we all ended up with root beers. No idea what happened and we let it ​go. We ordered pizza and from where i was sitting i seen the waiter pick up plates and scratch old food and stuff off each plate and brought them to our table where I immediately stopped him and told him I seen what he just did. He took the plates and brought us papers for plates which was fine. He never once apologized or offered any kind of discount. It's my hopes that this review will reach the Owner. Food: We ordered the Godfather - little did we know it had no meat. Pro tip you can split the toppings on the pizza if the sauce is the same! If you're staying in the Newpark Resort Hotel this place is a must have, but honestly it's good enough food to be worth coming to even if you're further afield. The Philly Cheese Steak is amazing, one of the best I've had anywhere, and while it was too much to eat in one sitting it was also still surprisingly good after reheating the next day (don't microwave, convection oven reheat folks - the hotel has those) and wasn't soggy at all. My wife loved the pizza she got too. I can't rave about the food enough. Atmosphere wise, it's an interesting mix of East Coast, Italian and Sports Bar all rolled into one, but it oddly works. However I wouldn't come here for a romantic date or a quiet evening. I did enjoy the music choices, lots of Billy Joel the evening we were here. I see a lot of reviews talking about the service, and look, ours was not great either, just seemed really rushed but it was fine - if you've ever been to Italy that's usually how it is. Really liked the generous portion of beef, cheese whiz, onions, and green peppers. The roll was amazing as well -- nice and soft just as I like it on a Philly. My wife really liked her chicken Caesar wrap. She intended to only eat half, but had a hard time putting it down! She really liked how filling and tasty it was! They have both indoor and outdoor eating, both of which are really nice. They were super quick and friendly -- seemed like we barely placed our order when it was already at our table!
