Wow, where do I begin. We stopped here for lunch today. I placed our order then as I walked to our table I noticed a dead cockroach in the middle of the floor. Eek! When I walked to the bathroom to wash my hands I informed an employee. He grabbed a broom but then accidentally stepped on it...no clue how he missed it. We got our food and as I started to add salt to my baked potato I noticed a spider crawling on the shaker and it almost fell in my potato. Eww! My gf ate a quarter of her sandwich and was about to bite into another and noticed a blonde hair in the sandwich. (We both are brunettes) She handed it to me so I can take it to the counter and then I notice a 2nd blonde hair in the same corner sandwich!! Both were in the lettuce part. At this point I was so grossed out. I asked for my money back and we left. The employees were nice and refunded me. We didn't finish the food. There was only 1 couple in the dining area when we arrived so they were not busy at all. I'm not sure why the employees behind the counter were just standing around when they could have been cleaning. This restaurant obviously needs a deep cleaning. They opened at 10:30 and we arrived shortly after 11am. No one conducts a walk through at opening? They would have discovered the dead roach on the floor. read more

Lots of parking, friendly staff, and always consistent tasty food. The strawberry shortcake is scrumptious with its sweet strawberry puree, and the cake is a spongy texture but moist. It's definitely worth the price. One bite made me fall in love! My favorites are the club and the Chicken, avocado blt. Tea is definitely like a hug in a cup with rays of sunshine. read more

So I have not been in a fairly long time. Maybe just got out of the habit, maybe too many other places opened not sure. But since I've eaten at several places who have "reimagined or updated" versions of French Dip which I didn't really enjoy for different reasons. I decided to go back to one of my choices for always classic great French Dip. Both here and Jason's Deli have a great one. Totally last minute, I ordered via the app 20 minutes before closing and then rushed over there. I hate doing a last minute order just before closing. But I was ready when I got there before closing. It smelled so great I was tempted to stop the car and have a bite but waited till home. I had French Dip, potato salad and a pickle. You used to get two side choices I believe but they have kept the prices down with this change I believe. You could always order another side if you desire one. Well it lived up to my great memories and was fabulous! I'll have to stop by more often. Great place if you want something lighter in a meal. I visited McAlister's Deli around 7:30 PM on a Saturday and was the only person dining in, though there were several carry-out and food delivery orders during my time there. I ordered the McAlister's Club sandwich and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup, along with an iced tea. The soup was hot but fairly average, which was about what I expected. The sandwich had a generous amount of turkey and ham, but it was a little disappointing to only find one slice of bacon. I'm so grateful that the food at this location is consistent. I had the veggie with a few mods, the apple caramel crisp cookies and omg the sugar plum tea. Celestine was so helpful in scanning my receipt to me because the app wasn't working and I wanted my rewards. Unfortunately, in the process someone scanned my receipt into their own rewards account so I didn't get to use them in mine and that is frustrating. They tend to give the call order ticket but not the receipt when it's picked up and that's frustrating as I frequent enough to earn free stuff but never get it. Food was good. Staff was friendly. Great tea. Some dishes/trash on a few tables but it didn't really bother me, just an observation. I got I believe the McAlister Club and the Italian. Yelp should really give an option for "NO stars". This location is FILTHY! Staff is young but they need to be mentored and actually managed efficiently; the customer service is lacking. Walked in and ordered but most all tables were filthy and no one had cleared out the dirty plates. I had to bus my own table and luckily I carry lysol wipes so I was able to clean the table top as well. However, when the food arrived I was really apprehensive to eat most of it for fear I'd get a stomach bug. If the dining area is in disarray and filthy I cannot expect standards to be cleanly in the back where the prep area is. Girl at counter looked like she hates her job. Started arguing with another worker about how they didn't fill the tea and how she should do her job. When we left same girl was busy flirting with a male staff member. If these two would dedicate the time it takes to flirt and touch each other's hair in the same manner when cleaning up the dining area, the location would be spotless. Don't go during the month of October! It's really unpleasant to eat a sandwich and soup with my family while Halloween instrumental music playing in the background. How in any way is eating a meal to the Michael Myers theme song pleasant? Legit makes the food taste bad and made us sick. Tired of all the greasy fast food and really wanted to get reacquainted with McAlister's Deli so We made the trip to the nearest one from us at SH 151 and 410 (Westover Hills). We went inside only a customer in front of us and took a look at the menu while we waited our turn. I ordered the pick 2 in which I chose McAlister's Club no honey mustard and tomatoes and my wife ordered the spicy turkey melt no tomatoes, a bit more expensive since I last remembered at $8.49 without the famous sweet tea. Came at lunch time and fast and efficient. Place was clean. Had a busier keeping tables cleared. Only neg was I got no receipt nor did card reader tell me my bill. So we've tried this location several times. Unfortunately after today I won't be back. Friendly staff, but way understaffed. The food is okay but not as it should be. The restaurant was a wreck, we even had to clean our own table. Not because it just wasn't wiped off but literally all the tables were not cleaned. Definitely tops schlotsky's in my opinion... Their salads are top notch and I appreciate more spinach, greens and romaine over iceberg lettuce. The dressings are on point and same thing with the soups and mac and cheese. Some of the sandwiches are shoot or Miss, but I know if I crave a salad this is where I'll come versus other fast food joints, The Price is Right There and the service has always been expedient. read more

This location is terrible. First off the floors and overall look of the restaurant is disgusting and filthy. There was no music playing and the manager was hollering in the back window. For anyone that had a to go call in order she shouted through the window they that they would have to wait twenty plus minutes. The unsweetened tea tasted like dirt. We normally like to meet a friend for lunch here and it used to be decent, but it is slowly declining in quality - and today it was particularly bad. I ordered a Caesar salad and my husband ordered a sandwich. I will add the pics of them. My salad tasted like bagged salad that was on clearance at a grocery store and looked just as bad. My husband got a sandwich that might as well have been just bread. Technically, we should have complained, but we really don't like to do that. Then again, we shouldn't have to. These foods should not have been served to begin with. To make matters worse, the manager came by to see if we wanted to buy a bunch of sandwiches, chips and tea for $50 as someone had ordered it and cancelled. He looked at our crap meal and didn't say a word. Apparently he thinks it is good quality. Needless to say, I didn't eat my "Caesar". Hubby ate his bread. This location is incredibly dirty and the slowest service I have experienced in a long time. The very young staff were more interested in communicating with each other socially than greeting or assisting customers. The tables and floors were covered in food debris. I watched the cooking staff sip drinks and listen to music on their earbuds while I waited to place my order (for 5mins with only two guests in front of us). My lady and I wanted to eat at Jersey Mike's, but they were out of fresh bread. We made the mistake of visiting the most garbage, slowest, piss poor sandwich shop of all time. Let me ask you...how long does it take to make a cold sandwich. Maybe 5 minutes assuming you had to cut the meat and cheese. These jokers took 30 minutes to make ours food. I politely asked the heffer (Susan) why our order took so long as she responded, "We are short in the kitchen." That sucked enough, when we sat down to eat we found the bread was dry and lacked the orange/cranberry sauce. There was a broken toothpick stuck in the sandwich as well.
