Friday morning 1/24 10 am. Writing this hoping the manager on that shift would be mandated to more training. Not only did I have to stand there and be COMPLETELY ignored for a very long while (I saw them see me), apparently you are supposed to use the kiosk even though there are employees right there ‍ Insult to injury, as I sat and ate, was very disheartened when I saw the 3 whole Caucasian people following me get helped immediately (I'm African American) no kiosk for them. Even brought out their food to them! Also, when I let them know their juice machine wasn't working bc it was obviously out of syrup or watered down or whatever, they switched it out for another juice that was even worse ‍. I came from Kaiser in upcountry, overnight shift nurse, just wanted some breakfast on my way home from saving lives...and to be treated like this. Unacceptable. Just, do better! read more

Who ever hired the fantastic Filipino guy who was working the evening shift Oct 3rd did a wonderful job. He's really good at his job, service with a smile, very very friendly and went above and beyond for us. I'm not sure the sole blame falls on the McDonald's at this old Pukulani location, or if the population of the Earth has grown so exponentially in the last several decades, and Maui as usual, hasn't caught up with the necessary infrastructure to deal with it, but the small parking lot, drive-through situation is a total disaster. The line extends to the roadway during peak hours, and their habit of having drive-through clientele park in the parking lot, which has zero spots to accommodate drive-through, to wait for orders is MADDENING. There is literally nowhere to park, nowhere to go, and the line into the drive through blocks business traffic at the next door location, Minit Stop, as well as preventing the McDonald's diner's from being able to back out of their stalls with any kind of space or ease. It's a total cluster-CLUCK!! Otherwise the food is exactly what you hope to get; for me that is filet o fish or cheeseburgers with fries and sweet and sour sauce to dip. It's unhealthy, but reliable and consistent. read more

This one's for Pukalani McDonald's , I pulled up to order food , they coned off the drive through but they're supposed to to be 24 hours! They also turn off most of the outside lights to make it seem like they are closed. I'm sure I speak on the behalf of customers that go there . Please owner check on your pukalani crew. Stopped by for lunch after Mt Haleakala Summit. Spam, Eggs & Rice was just ok--mainly bc of how hungry I was. Kona coffee wasn't actually "Kona" coffee. The Taro Pie, however, was soooo good. In fact, a couple days later, I stopped by another McDonald's to get another one.. I almost never go to McDonald's anymore, but that would most definitely change if they started serving Taro Pies... I ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich and it was awful. I only wanted them to omit the mayo. What I got was a spicy piece of chicken and a few token lettuce pieces. The sandwich shoyld have had lettuce, tomatoes and pickles with a chicken piece that was not spicy. This has not been the first time my order was amiss! The manager must not be present! read more

Absolutely NO customer service! So I submit mobile order...usually not ready when I go to the counter. When I walk in, no one greets me, workers just turn their backs to the counter. This morning when I went in to get my coffee, I could see my coffee was ready but sitting on the counter behind the customer counter. So I said, "hello!" as I saw a worker with her back to me. I had to try to get her attention a couple of time before she turned around and just looked at me. I told her I had a mobile order and another unfriendly gal handed me my coffee without a, "hello, good morning, go to hell." I don't know what I did to deserve the iced caramel latte I was handed at the drive through. Spilling all over the place and tasted like she had gathered the dirty dishwater into a cup and added ice. Also, no matter if you order extra sauce or it's the free one with your meal or you ask and pay for extra at the window, ten times out of ten they will forget your sauce. But I'm there for a quick meal, I don't have time to go into the store or go back around the drive through. 1. Manager working the register was very rude and rolled her eyes when I corrected her about my order. 2. The same manager would handle money and credit cards at the register and continue to prepare food without washing her hands. 3. There was a line of drive through customers to the road and 8+ customers inside waiting in line to order. To top it off, all 4 kiosk machines were not working 4. At the drive thru, I ordered 2 orders of pancakes, 2 drinks, 2 fraps. After they gave me my order, I drove off. Then realized, we have no straws for our drinks and no forks and knifes for our pancakes. I drove back and the worker told me "you have to ask for straws and utensils" WHHHHHYYYYYYYY should I? These reviews are so ridiculous! This place is consistently super busy and the employees are doing their best! The manager is very sweet although she is clearly overstimulated with so much to do. Just like any other fast food place double check your food before you drive off and there is a voice message that plays prior to ordering that TELLS you you have to ask for utensils and straws. I'm confused as to how this particular McDonald's is allowed to serve anyone. Tonight I went inside 3 others already ordered & waiting, one woman at register attempting to order. After 5 minutes and at least 2 employee walking passed, she finally began to order except nobody could understand "Soft drink or soda". I finally ordered on kiosk. One cheeseburger. Two more people ordered and were served. One of the three who had already ordered (Upon my entering) had been waiting nearly 1/2 hour. I said hell no, to his timeline and approached the counter. I gave them my receipt and mentioned how long he had been waiting, at which point they pointed at a little bag and said to me, your order is there, we called your number! I replied, " Nobody called my number". Their response was "You didn't listen!" Seriously? I stood directly in front of the counter watching the orders, nobody said my number. Oh mother mary this was the slowest drive thru I have ever been in in my life. We had just finished up a day four wheeling and exploring Haleakala and decided to swing through the drive thru for some fatty goodness. We ended up sitting in a bloody long line for over a half hour! The worst part of the whole experience was that you're between the building and a large concrete wall so you're absolutely stuck. I was starving, beyond frustrated and getting a big claustrophobic. When we finally got up to the window to pay and get our food I realized it was one woman running back and forth from the pay window to the food window. WTF? I hope someone called in sick and they were understaffed cause this drive thru was a small piece of hell. read more

I think everyone noticed that the wait for the drive thru is just ridiculous. My order is mostly never correct and when corrected the workers aren't very nice. And just a small tip.. please teach your workers on how to make a simple coffee. Caramel macchiato is always mixed when I recieve them. Vanilla ice coffee usually never has taste to it. read more

Customer service here is more often than not - non-existent. This is definitely not exclusive to drive-thru or dine-in...they are equally neglected.
