2.5 stars rounded to 3. Very mixed bag experience here. We needed to eat and decompress in between sightseeing rounds and decided to hit up the best fast food chain candidate for parking, pricing, and past experience precedent. Well, you can't beat the nearest McDonald's, right? Not quite. The parking lot is so tiny, you can't even drive along the street past the queue of cars crammed in there trying to enter or exit. We weren't about to camp for a spot, so we turned the corner and were able to find street parking. We entered and were immediately confused by the apparent lack of human service. There was a row of self-serve kiosks, and a front counter devoid of either staff or menu board. Eventually, a staff appeared at the cash, but we were unable to choose anything from a menu, because it doesn't exist. You must either use the app, the kiosk, or your own brain's connection to the Borg. We had no idea what was on offer besides the perpetually available signature items, so we ordered a quarter pounder meal; and 2 McCrispy meals, which we subsequently learned were not what we described to the staff. Crispy chicken sandwich should be a breaded fillet with mayo, lettuce, tomato. Instead, we got heavily oil-drenched, deep-fried fillets with one piece of pickle and nothing else. The fries at least were hot and fresh. We also had to waste a stupid amount of time figuring out what beverage options they had. It's a fairly large location with plenty of seating. The 2 washrooms are locked, individual use rooms, and the lineup was constant. They are roomy, and were an acceptable level of cleanliness. I really wavered with whether to round up to 3 or down to 2. In the end I had to go up to 3 given that it was the only place we could find to meet our needs. Between the street parking amidst no parking anywhere else; the price point; free Wi-Fi; and relatively relaxed/comfortable seating, we were able to decompress, have our meal at a leisurely pace, and make full use of the facilities so that we were ready to head off to our next destination. On the other hand, I'd make sure to go to another location that has human beings at the ready to serve human customers, and a posted menu that doesn't require the Borg to access it.

Don't go! Bad service and bad food.. Didn't give us any ketchups. When asked, she gave us two cups of ketchups barely covering the bottom. And some fries are green! The Big Mac is a baby Mac, 4 inches in diameter, we wonder where do you even get a bun that small.

Still on my quest to find the Kerwin Frost Golden McNugget. I've literally eaten enough Kerwin Frost boxes to gain the maximum number of 6,000 points and Still don't have that nugget! And the staff is allowing that to go on but the corporate won't offer free refills on soda which ECONOMICALLY costs cents on the dollar per cup ... and I had a higher than average ticket Nobody is running these stores the economy is about to implode

I quickly came at this McDonald's for breakfast here at San Francisco. The drive thru was not packed, and I arrived in the morning time. I went with their #9, a breakfast sausage McGriddle combo. Included a hash brown and a coffee. The service was normal when I was helped out. The food was what it was: good, warm and delivered! The area and environment seems safe, in a transited avenue close to the South SF area.

Dear McDonald's, I hope this letter finds you well, unlike the state of my recent visit to your establishment. I must say, the service I received was slower than a sloth on a Sunday morning. The employees were moving at a pace that made a snail look like Usain Bolt. I half-expected to see cobwebs forming on the fryer as I waited for my order. And don't even get me started on the attitude of the staff. I encountered a young lady, or at least I think she was a lady with that long red hair, who refused to give me my Double Quarter Pounder. It was like she was guarding the golden arches with her life. I had to resist the urge to challenge her to a duel for my rightful burger. And when I finally received my chicken nuggets, they were colder than my ex's heart and frozen in the middle. I didn't know whether to eat them or use them as ice packs. The ambiance of the place left much to be desired as well. I've seen cleaner dumpsters behind fast-food joints than the state of your establishment. I half-expected to see a health inspector pop out from behind a counter with a hazmat suit on. Please, for the love of all that is greasy and delicious, clean up your act. I usually get chicken nuggets and fries but decided to switch it up on national cheeseburger day. I got a double cheeseburger for 50 cents. Quite the deal. It tastes and looks just like I remember it. Nothing crazy. Basic. If you like extra ketchup make sure you ask for it. The employees work really hard and I've never had an issue. I used to get asked for money by random people while sitting in the drive through line more often years ago, not anymore. Ordering through the app is pretty great. It's not the best location but hey it has a drive through.

When patronizing any Fast Food Restaurant there are some basic rules to follow to maximize your experience. (1) use their mobile applications, this minimizes miscommunications, and removes confrontations with the staff in regards to pricing, and deals. (2) it helps to know what the most efficient pickup method is be it lobby or drive in window, at this location I normally recommend using the window, just be aware persons wanting money are often at both ends of the window option. (3) McDonalds has 2 ways to access special pricing, Deals & Rewards, but only 1 of these options can be accessed per order. At this location I prefer to pickup via my car, often there is a line of cars but it's never been long, and it moves at a fair pace. The area has a particular energy, but it's never felt unsafe though I keep my window up till I arrive at the order speaker so as not to tempt fate. If you have any special requests make them known when you check in. Today for example my order was an Iced Hazelnut Coffee, but at check in it was my request to omit the Ice :) As for the staff, I have found them to be highly pleasant, friendly, and professional, my suggestion extend them some respect it can help them maintain a positive mindset. Regarding the food, McDonalds tends to do a great job packing orders, and the food is consistent.

The legend and vision of McDonald's turned into something else. It was a sign of urban blight. I like going to McDonald's because I like chicken mcnuggets, sometimes getting hamburgers, and iced coffee..even cinnamon roll. I like McDonald's breakfast. It's fast food. It's not even cheap these days. McDonald's was different back then, but it's still fun.

Food is what you will expect from other McDonald's. I have dined in, takeout and had it delivered from this restaurant before. This most recent transaction was from delivery. Service is usually a little slow if you order there, probably because they have lots of orders to fill. Delivery is great because you pay for the convenience. I had work to do and didn't have time to pick up, so delivery helped me a lot. The scrambled egg, sausages, and hash browns hit the spot. Ketchup on the side. I really like their breakfast sandwiches but trying to cut back on some carbs after so much indulgence lately so ordered everything individually and skipped the bread.

Tried to grab a quick lunch before going to an event at 12:30pm. Placed the order at 11:39, time is tick tocking and there's no sign of ours ready. Orders after us been called out and of course with bunch of drive through orders. Asking the staff and no one seems to willing to help. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Finally they realize they missed our orders until we asked. Really thought of dining in thinking we would have enough time but end up need to pack everything to go because our order wasn't made until 20 minutes after! WTH! read more

I just did an Ubereats order with them which I have done before. They been "Preparing your order" for over and hour and half. Every time it's closes to being time they add on 10min. Estimated time right now 90mins for 3 burgers and 2 fires. Do not order Ubereats from them or you could be in Limbo like me. Oh look they just added on 10mins to my order. After not having food from a McDonald's in months, we hit a new low and decided to Uber eats the Mckey Ds. Gourmet dining at its finest can be found in this centrally located golden arch deco noir I now consider the best kept secret of San Francisco. With luscious green lettuce, bubbly Diet Coke and savory fries, this place is fine dining at its finest. My bowels are now as watery as the buns. God bless McDonald's. read more

Yes I came back after my prior review, but I just got off work & im hungry..... again everything was wrong, but I I'd come back so...... this place is a joke so why not laugh... here we go.... I order 2 sandwiches & 2 hash browns. What I got wasn't even close. See the pic, lol!!! Not only can these tools not put an order in correctly ( funny enough), but I got 6 sandwiches. All different. Getting mad at McDonald's is like getting pissed at a senior citizen for not walking fast enough or a little kid for not understanding something. Yet still I have cravings that stem from childhood like everybody else. And to err is human like eating this shite! Chicken nuggets were luke warm; probably sitting out long past its prime. Filet o Fish was disgusting: hard plastic cheese on a rubbery stale bun with fishy smelling fish. The first bite made me think of a fish market and the smell of all the chopped up, gutted remains of fish carcasses. Fries were cold and limp, like a bag of mulch. Their made-to-order Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese is the only thing worth eating here. I'll be back after I forget how bad this taste in my mouth was... read more

I asked for a cup of water on a 90 degree day and I was told by the staff that this cannot be done as "Many sodas are lined up" I replied "that's fine, I just need a cup and she replied "I'm sorry, we cannot" What kind of food place says this!? Drove through this mcdonalds on my way to work. They auto charge $0.10 for a bag im drive thru and if you want any dipping sauce its $0.27 . Ive never been to a mcdonalds that charges for either. The area is sketchy and in my time in the drive thru line i saw 3 different drug deals happen in the parking lot. I got the mcdouble, medium fries and a large iced tea. The iced tea had no ice cubes in it at all I am giving 2 stars. 1 for the freshness of the food and 1 for the friendly first window guy. read more

Worked here back in the high school days and not surprising to hear about the shooting. The area is tough and the people in there including staff are rude. Despite McDonald's proximity to the SFPD Northern District Station across the street, the area has been the site of several shootings including on New Years when a bystander was caught in crossfire. read more

This McD's is sad. Starting with their parking lot, it regularly has both homeless people and strange activity--last time I was there, people in cars with over-tinted glass were exchanging used car wheels (who knows where they came from, etc.). This McD's itself is greedy in that they charge $0.99 for extra Roma tomatoes--most McD's want $0.30. They don't seem to care in general; my Diet Coke is often (usually?) flat, but why bother to fix their carbonation?! Of course not! Overall, I've decided never to come here again. It's not just a one-time bad experience; they have what it takes to be consistently bad. SF has numerous interesting restaurants that really could use some business, but this McD is unworthy. read more

This is one if the absolute worst McDonald's locations. The employees apparently cannot be bothered to double-check drive-thru orders. I can't tell you how many times an item is forgotten. Just today, my 20-piece chicken nuggets went missing. However, they did throw in 3 containers of BBQ sauce Just like I requested. The order also had 4 sandwiches and 3 fries. Got those., and this is after I heard a woman tell the drive-thru window person that the order was complete when he asked. Seriously, folks, could you please drill into your employees to check the orders?! Make it the first commandment. read more

This place should get zero stars. Customer service is bad! They don't know how to take your order correctly. The drive-through person was suppose to be "in training" according to the manager. If only it could get any worse! Wait in line at the drivethru for 22 mins to get to the front, and then be told "sorry we are closed." Sign on the window says closed from 4 - 4:30, but they close at 3:52! Pathetic customer service. read more

Worst Service I've EVER Experienced. I recently started working near this Area. Not much in General Area Especially working Graveyard Shift. It's a No Other Choice That Forced me to even Try this Fucking Disaster of a Restaurant. Tried 3 times and they Managed to Fuck up all 3. this is the worst McDonald's location I have ever been to. They mess up my order every time and also give me a lot of attitude. This morning I ordered an egg white delight combo with a small iced coffee, a lady named Sidel there tried to charge me for over $12, she stared me down and eventually changed the total amount to $9.33. This is probably my favorite McDonald's simply for the fact that I met my wife here when we were both 69 years of age, she was the love of my life but unfortunately she died of a heart attack.. the doctors said it's because she ate here everyday for breakfast lunch and dinner but that couldn't have been true! So in her memory I've eaten here everyday for all three meals! Unfortunately I can't walk here anymore due to the fact my body weight weighs me down so much that even writing is going to be my daily exercise. Even ordering from the window is exhausting and my heart races and I always hear the shitty teens laughing at my type 3 diabetes. read more

The black sesame kouign amann from B. Patisserie is my gold standard, and Juniper's version is a close contender. While the black sesame flavor is much lighter and the texture fluffier than the B. Patisserie version, I liked the abundance of the crispy edges (as well as the year-round availability). I will certainly be back to try more of Juniper's pastries.

In the middle of Nasty Trashy Ghetto Dangerous Projects with the type of people youd find in the Tenderloin - Absolutely repulsed by this place & the crowds of drunks, drug dealers, & gangs. San Francisco Mc Donalds are disgusting and the shop on Fillmore looks outdated dirty and unappealing. The bathrooms are filthy as well and the people that work here do not present themselves well or look sanitary. The people that hang around here are compromised, dangerous, and horribly dodgy. This McDonald's on Fillmore need to be shut down. I went to McDonald's on May 24, 2018 at 8:00 am to get a cup of coffee. I turned around and witness a homeless man take out his penis and urinate in the self serve soda fountain. I started screaming for the manager and shouting that the homeless man was urinating in the fountain. They should have called the police. They never shut the soda fountain down, nor did they clean it. This is Filthy. They proceeded to keep giving customers cups to get their drinks from that FILTHY soda fountain. McDonald's need to be SHUT down. This is a health problem. The worst Mcdonalds in San Francisco. This place is extremely FILTHY!!!!!! This possibly the worst McD I hav ever visited! Made order on kiosk, but no receipt printout when issue is addressed the proper thing to do would be at least let the customer kno what is their order# when asked? The only response was "wait", no pls + no# given?! It's disorganized, unfriendly staff, dirty bathroom w/working dry or paper towels! It literally took more than 25min to finally get my order of 3 simple items!?! That's after asking about 10 different times when a # was called jus to confirm that's not my order due to the fact that no# was ever provided!?! I would hav canceled my order if there's an option in a heart beat.. This is no where close to the meaning of fast food at all! Arrived at the drive thru after a 8 hour journey back to Smryna. Sat in the line from 10:06 pm....were still fucking sitting here. What, exactly are these motherfuckers doing? Cuz they sure as fuck aren't working. It's absolutely ridiculous to wait longer for some chicken nuggets than you wait for a gourmet meal at a restaurant. The issue of duplicate reviews is different from duplicate content. Reviews should be unique and if Google Review Spam Bot and Yelp Review Spam Bot detect the reviews are duplicated, they can remove them and worst they can suspend your listing on their platform. Why? it's against their guidelines. If you had to choose between those platforms, I would recommend Google My Business first and then Yelp. My bad, I never noticed that I drive thru here and forgot the sugar. I do not know if it is my mistake or theirs. lol I was sleepy driving and I pass by in McDonals. Its so happned that im jsut nearby but perhaps it is not my day because i drank my coffee with no sugar. Went to this location of McDonalds sometime back. Obviously I will not be returning, not only was the service terrible but also the food! I ordered the cheese burger, when I got to my seat I opened up my food and saw a ball of hair and fur!!! This was absolutely disgusting to me, so I complained to the manager and showed him the burger. He apologized and offered to give me another one. Our kids love McDonalds, this one is closest and we used to drive through weekly. Friendly staff, the usual good food. Two of the last three times through the drive-through, we've had drugged or otherwise deranged people walking up to our car. The most recent encounter was with someone holding a hypodermic needle.
