Instead of a full on review, let me just copy over the Tips I've entered when my brother has dragged me here: 11/4/14 - Just had to ask the supervisor at the expo station to wash her hands after she licked her fingers, then touched a child's toy, put it in the bin, touched the counter repeatedly & shoved her hand in a bag for a to go order. Employees were acting like they were a bunch of rude high schoolers, giggling & making fun of customers when they thought no one was listening. Even heard same supervisor say "we can take this out to the parking lot" with a few head snaps thrown in. Done with this place. 5/14/12 - Meal had 1/2 the amount of fries than normal. Seems this MD's is falling into the "service rut" that afflicts nearly every SV restaurant. 5/11/12 - 3AM. Tried to give me 5 cold nuggets & a piece of some other chicken substance to make a 6-piece? Pretty typical McDonald here. They have a good size play area on the inside. It's kept fairly clean, bring sanitizer for the kiddos regardless. I like the double drive thru system. I like to place my order as fast as possible so the car next to me doesn't get to the window first. Maintains my competitive spirit. Even if I'm not done ordering and I think the car next to me is finishing I will floor it and get to the window first! Screw that other guy who's done absolutely nothing to me! ;-) read more

Pre-pandemic I visited this McD's more frequently. Don't recall any probs, in fact it was pretty smooth @ the drive-thru. This morning was a different story. Both drive thru's had about three cars in line. I got in the outter lane. It took a bit when I got to the menu / order point. The speaker was barely audible when I ordered my Bacon/Egg/ Biscuit. Sandwich only I specified. I noticed it was $4 and some change. " Those are still baking , could I suggest the Sausage/ Egg/ Biscuit?" Sure I answered. When I got to the new outside cashier, he blurted out a confiration of my order, which I asked him to repeat....and I stated I had ordered the Sausage and Biscuit sandwich only no meal, he said "Oh, they overcharged you..." Without clarifying, he switched my order to a Sausage / biscuit ONLY. And yes it was $2 and change....I should have been tipped off. When I got to the pick up and the guy who could have been the manager gave me my "Sausage biscuit" sand. And sure enough after I had pulled away and went to eat my sandwich discovered: A greasy overly salted biscuit with JUST a sausage patty, no "folded" egg. So it was a case of one extra employee involved (3) and myself ....communication breakdown. NOT the end of the world. I will not boycott this store due to a minor screw up on both sides of the window. I will just be sure my order is understood and complete before I leave the premises. read more

Everytime I ask for sauce, EVERY TIME, they never give me sauce I have to check the bag and ask for sauce and then the fries aren't even good they always are old or nasty they are never fresh and the burgers are always made half assed. Poor experience all around. I placed my order drove to the first window to pay the cashier, Doreen. She asked if I ordered a "six piece" I'm assuming that is McDonalds terminology. She didn't bother to specify after I asked her what that meant. In my mind I thought six piece chicken nuggets. After so many failed attempts to get her point across, she copped an attitude with me, not only could she not communicate or provide basic customer service. She shut her window on me while I was still talking. I was fed up at this point and drove up to the second window asking for a manager and my refund. I was given my refund and a sorry, I'll have a chat with Doreen. It didn't feel genuine. I don't have enough nerves to deal with poor customer service and little girls who are problematic. I visited the McDonald's drive thru this evening, only to be completely appalled by the customer service I received. We initially made an online order and were simply there to pick it up. Marsha asked for the last name of the person who placed the order and we provided that information, so she pulled the order up on the screen. Upon making an attempt to inform her the order was wrong after stating the total, she rudely interrupted and said "it doesn't matter if you paid online, I have to tell you the amount." Her attitude was bold and snarky. We didn't have the opportunity to express that the order was wrong because she was pushy, jumped to conclusions and assumptions, and clearly just wanted us to leave. We showed her a coupon at the window and she said under her breath "I fucking hate these things" and repeatedly cursed under her breath with frustration. It was clear she did not wish to be serving us and it was actually very upsetting. I have recieved pretty poor service here before but never this bad! It is clear that Marsha hates her job and if she cannot treat customers with respect and has a sense of entitlement, she should not be working there. On a different note, a young gentleman named Tino handed us our meals and was very kind and welcoming. I enjoyed his service incredibly and he is the perfect example of what great customer service looks like! I wish I could say that Tino's positivity made up for Marsha's negativity but i cannot. However, It was relieving to be treated with human decency despite the way it started. read more

Everytime I come to this particular location I end up waiting almost 20 minutes for my "fast food". Its absolutely unacceptable, all I wanted was a 6 piece chicken tenders and I ended have in to park just like the last few time I've gone to this location. I tmdo not recommend this location. This particular McDonald's is a historic landmark. This is the first ever drive thru McD's! Back in 1975 they opened this drive thru to accomadate the soldiers at Fort Huachuca. The commanding officer at the Fort did not want the soldiers to be seen in town in fatigues. The manager of this McDonalds found out about it and created the first drive thru so the soldiers would not have to get out of their cars so they would not violate their orders. The sign outside says "first" drive thru and there a pictures inside to commemorate this. This is standard McD's food and there is a Play Place for the kids. This particular location is nice inside. The decor is muted brown tones and has a slight southwest feel but not overtly done. It's one of the nicest locations I have been to. Service....well, you have the teenagers at the counter who know nothing about customer service. The other day when we were here my sister placed her order and the young man who took it started talking to the young women next to him instead of taking the order, making my sister repeat herself. Does anyone in this town know customer service? It makes me wonder. If you're in Sierra Vista you should stop in here just for the historical appeal. I hate to write a bad review based on one bad experience, but I have to share. Heading home from work and the kiddies wanted McDonalds. So I go through the drive-thru on the way back. Place my order and pulled up to the window after paying. They hand me my drinks and my bag of food and tell me to have a nice day. I thought to myself, "wow, that was awfully friendly!" "You have a great day too!" Drive off and get home. Call the little ones so we can divvy up the food. To my disappointment, they had not given me half the order. Bummer! Call them up and tell them that I had just left their location and half my order was missing. They ask if I want to drive back out to pick it up. No, no I don't. Okay, they said they would get me my missing items the next time I'm at their location. ::sighs:: a bit of a disappointment that I didn't receive my complete meal that night, but its okay. I call the wife, since she was running errands, and asked if she would swing by to pick up the rest of the other later that night. She did. When she arrived, she asked them to comp the order since they didn't complete the order. She was told that it wasn't their fault since I drove off before they could hand me the second bag. Now wait, if you hand me my drink/food and tell me to have a nice day, I'm assuming our transaction is complete and its okay for me to drive off. I didn't speed out of there either since it took me a couple of seconds to place the drink carrier so it doesn't spill on the way home and to place the bag carefully so it didn't tip over. So they didn't comp the meal but did give her the missing items. She got home and once again, we called the kiddies to gather round to divvy up the food. And again, another item was missing. This time, the wife calls up and tells them that they forgot another item. Once again, they asked if we were coming back out to pick it up. No, once we're home, we're not going to come back out, that's part of the reason why we go through the drive through. Once again, this has only happened to us once out of many trips to this location. The other visits have been uneventful and sometimes enjoyable. But I feel you have to pretty much TRY to screw up an order TWICE. Yes, I could have checked the order before driving off, but I personally feel it shows a lack of faith in the service you pay for and holds up the line (my first job was in fast food, way back when). ::sighs:: but then again, you could end up in a situation like the above. =\ read more

This McDonalds was tolerable now it's down right horrible and a waste of time to go to. The service is slower despite the redesign and every other order has people having to wait in the pick up area even at times when it's not busy. And then either items are missing, or the wrong items are served, or it's haphazardly poorly put together. The whole point of these places are to be able to grab something quick and conveniently (not concerned about cuisine level food) and now this McDonalds can even do that right. I am a little biased because I LOVE McDonald's no matter where it is. I mainly stop here for breakfast on my way into work in the morning. The greatest thing is their dollar menu in the morning where the sausage mcmuffin and a hashbrown are both on the dollar menu. The drive thru at times can be slow at best. I parked and got my food before I would have ordered in the drive thru. This was when they were really busy though. Also the design of the drive thru is kind of bad. The reson being is that when you are in line you are blocking cars that are parked. read more

This particular McDonald's is a hit/miss. Not used to seeing the same faces more than twice due to high turnover of employees. Drive-thru had improved and is actually fast. It was commonplace to walk in and see a very dirty restaurant but I guess they have had an epiphany of sorts and are keeping the place clean. NOTE: Large Sodas are on sale for $1.00 but if you do not say anything then you will be charged 1.58. .58 cents may not seem like much but we you figure how many cars go through the drive-thru on a daily basis and order large sodas it begins to add up. read more

Holy moly, this place gets packed!!! Now, this may just be due to the fact that they just opened up a playground so it's new and exciting... only time will tell... they had a lot of tables, but only (I think) three booths in the playground area, which was a little disappointing. Most parents want to be able to supervise their kids. Additionally, there is a door RIGHT THERE next to the playground, which did not sound the alarm when opening. It did, however, have birds chirp...but it's not very noticeable when it's so packed. Having the door there is worrisome. On to the positive, the playground is pretty epic. They have the huge screens to order from, which is helpful when there's long lines. They have yet to give me a wrong or incomplete order, and the employees were very friendly. It's a nice McDonald's, but be cautious at the playground, since there is a door they can "escape" from. read more

This McDonald's is terrible. Every time I come here they mess up in some way. Weather it be forgetting straws, ketchup, and or my food. The staff is never helpful. I had to help my self to getting the straws which you're not suppose to cause of COVID. But they have a bunch of incompetent workers. I've worked at a McDonald's. It's not that hard. This place is the worst McDonald's on earth. They were the first drive thru but they never get the order right. They get the order wrong about 1 in every 4 times. They should remove "World's First Drive Thru" and change it to "Worlds Worst Drive Thru" . Don't bother complaining to Tashina Freeman, she will just offer to replace your meal. For a historic McDonalds, the customer service is hit or miss. I like their food and easily find myself going thru the drive thru in the morning for a breakfast sandwich. Recently, there has been no quality control and my simple order was messed up 2 days in a row. Tonight, I went through the drive through and I ordered 2 mighty kids meals for my twin boys. I was asked specifically if the meals were for boys or girls and I said both boys. Of course when I get home, one of my boys is upset because he got a girl toy. Even simple things should not be overlooked. I am disappointed that management and the owner allow poor service. At least until I hear service has turned around, I won't be returning any time soon. If you haven't yet heard this startling news which broke the national news headlines on Feb 2, 2012, YOU NEED TO READ THIS! This review is meant for all McDonalds across the nation. It was reported that for sometime McDonalds was using a chemical substance know as "Pink Slime" as an ingredient in all of it's hamburger products nationwide. Pink Slime is Ammonium Hydroxide, a common caustic chemical commonly used in household cleaners, fertilizers and numerous other cleaning solutions. McDonalds used a solution of pink slime and water to soak it's "select beef trimmings" before processing into hamburgers. These select beef trimmings are what was trimmed from the beef, also known as scraps and are not considered approved for human consumption by the USDA. These scraps are laden with numerous bacteria, including E-coli and Salmonella and are commonly used in dog and cat food. Soaking these trimmings in PinkSlime supposedly kills most of the bacteria, but leaves high levels of this chemical behind (and probably some levels of bacteria). It was not reported how long McDonalds (and maybe other fast food burger joints) have been doing this, but it was probably for some time. It was also reported that many school cafeterias across the US were using similar chemically treated beef products in their menus. McDonalds announced that they have stopped using Pink Slime in their hamburgers, but it was unclear if they are continuing to use the same "select beef" trimmings. I certainly will never go to any other McDonalds, it was a rare occasion when I did. I mean they were serving hamburgers from chemical laden beef scraps meant for pet food! Had problems in the past getting breakfast sandwiches with no meat. Haven't been back for months and today ordered two sausage mcmuffin with egg no sausage (as previously advised by a mcdonalds employee). Team member politely advised we could not get the 2 for 4 dollars special if we weren't getting the sausage on it. He rang up 2 egg mcmuffin no bacon and asked if that was ok. We said sure but it was more than sausage. He said they are the same price and all prices had jncreased. Later checked menu and app and egg mcmuffin is 39 cents more than a sausage mcmuffin with egg. Two english muffins with egg and cheese were over 7 dollars. Nope. We're not lovin' it. read more

I used to work at Mcdonalds in Guam for 10 years as a crew trainer before moving out here. Never lived outside of my Island ever till my husband and I moved here to Sierra Vista. Since I love eating Mcdonalds and especially drinking fresh brewed coffee, I was expecting US Mcdonalds to be in the best, since our GM was always visiting US Mcdonalds and giving us a review about his experience with the store and it was always great everytime. He always kept reminding us about always satisfying our customers and leaving with a smile. Again I enjoy Mcdonalds!! I know there are some errors that Mcdonalds employees will make. But its not an error when a customer ask for no salt on there fries, but what customers get from this Mcdonalds is re-fried fries. You could tell when the fries just got out from the fryer between re-fried fries! It taste "NASTY" and gets soggy really fast not to mention a very oily box!!! Then the coffee, like I said I love Mcdonalds Coffee, it taste really good when its freshly brewed but when people use the same used coffee grown, again customers can tell!! The coffee tast "SOUR" and watered down!!!! Please Mcdonalds on "E. Fry Blv." if you want your customers to leave without a complaint: Start giving out fresh fries when asked, don't refry your fries to get the drive thru line going faster!! Customers want the best that is why you have a drive thru parking for customers to wait!! Use it!! And the coffee too, dont re-brew used coffee grown. The taste isn't fresh, it makes the coffee so SOUR and watered down!!! Not trying to down grade you at all just pointing out the problem and hopefully fixing it. First Drive through of any McDonald's in the world. They did it for troops who couldn't leave their cars in uniform back in the day. Good food if you go inside, clean place, WIFI connected, big play area inside for children. Con: If you are in a hurry don't go through the drive thru lanes, since there are 2 of them and of course they merge together to give you one, which slows down the whole process. They are quick to take your order, but by the time you get to the take out window, they have forgotten your order, your straws, your ketchup, your dips, and anything else they could forget with a whole line of cars behind you waiting to be next to receive a partially filled bag of food. read more

Enh, what's to say? It's a McDonald's. I usually only come here when I'm waiting on an oil change for my car, as it's within walking distance of my mechanic's. The food's always been pretty standard. The interior was renovated recently and is generally kept pretty clean, and there's wi-fi, albeit somewhat spotty at times. About the best you can hope for from a McD's. read more
