I do wish they had gluten free bread (or Brazilian cheese balls) available (that would have truly been perfect). We enjoyed our food and felt that we received fair portion sizes. They were able to make their hot fudge sundae gluten free which was a delicious end to the night (it isn't always gluten free, they have to remove one topping). Was excited to see they had opened another location in the Arlington area and planned a gathering with some friends at the new location. Venue was nice, really enjoyed the decor dedicated to the Arlington area. They also have an outdoor patio that is convenient if you want to enjoy a nice day eating outside. They offer free parking in the building garage which is a major plus to avoid having to pay fees in the neighboring streets. You will however have to ask someone to let you back into the building after work hours. The host was happy to help! The food was delicious they start off with freshly baked bread and butter, then the lightly dressed salad, first serving of steak and fries then after your done comes out the next half of the meal. My friend has recommended this for two years. We finally made the trip. The steak is delicious. The free bread is light and crusty and served with amazing butter. The staff are very helpful and ever present. The only disappointment was the steak eggs Benedict is a chopped steak gravy. So tasty but not steak. Our fault for not reading the menu closer. The green salad comes with an authentic Caesar dressing, so if you're avoiding salt order something else if you aren't it's amazing. The yogurt with dried fruit and granola may be the best I've ever had. The poached eggs are sous vide but they do take the time to poach them so they're okay but the whites are loose but cooked and the yolk looks correct but is tougher and doesn't run like a proper poached egg. Next time we will all just stick to the steak frittes and skip the extras. The bottomless Bloody Mary could use some more salt or a better tomato juice. The bottomless mimosas are perfect. This year for my birthday we gave Medium Rare another shot - this time to go due to COVID. Medium Rare knocked it out of the park this time. The meal was everything I remembered from my first dinner there. Start off with the simple field greens salad topped with a delicious Dijon dressing with crispy French bread and soft butter. Then move onto the perfectly cooked steak and luscious secret sauce (make sure to order extra to cover every bite) along side their crispy thin fries. Delicious meal. Perfect. Loved it. Thank you!! There is also one side item available that can be ordered for an extra cost, and desserts also for an extra price. If you want hard alcohol, they have one of each offering. - vodka, bourbon, etc. No other brands. The night we were there they brought her around is second helping of the main course, so there was more than enough food. My only concern was that because everything was so "mechanical," it seemed rushed, and one thing came out immediately after the other, making it not a very relaxing experience. However, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. But it is obvious they rely on volume and getting people in and out. It has a prix-fixed steak frites menu, so you get a starter salad, bread + butter, a first round of steak + fries and if in person another second round of steak and fries (we just got more of everything with takeout). I would recommend they ad cucumbers and some onions to it, but the lite vinaigrette dressing on it was tasty. The sirloin steak is good, but can be a little chewy. It's not the best steak I have had, but it is good for the price. The steak sauce was quite good on it. The french fries are crispy, lightly salted, and delicious. Come here with a relatively empty stomach, as they bring you seconds of the steak and fries. It is a heavy meal. My girlfriend had the sangria which she enjoyed as well. Service was very good, and food was brought out quickly. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience here. We ended up sitting at the bar -- if there is open sitting at the bar, take it! We ended up sitting alone at the bar for a while because the long line of people didn't realize you can do brunch at the bar. The brunch is all inclusive with was nice for my friends, I don't drink at brunch so I don't usually like the idea of all inclusive but it's only $28! Even with me drinking coffee it's worth it! (Note it is around 25 cents for each alcoholic drink in addition to the all inclusive cost) Two of us ordered the French Toast and Sausage. The sausage was good, tasted homemade. I will preface I don't usually like French toast that is super thick (I should've asked but didn't), but my friend really enjoyed hers. My other friend got the steak frites and loved it, it looked delicious too. Concerning the drinks, the coffee I got was decent. My friends said they enjoyed their Mimosas but said the Bloody Mary was not good at all (the girl next to us agreed with that). The bartender helped us during our visit and oh my gosh was this man doing it all! Serving all of the brunch drinks and helping us. I really enjoyed it, but I just wish that there was a bit more. I did read somewhere that you can ask for a second serving, but I didn't know that before coming in! I'm not sure if this is true, but definitely ask if you do choose to give this place a try. Our server was very nice and very attentive. I have 2 stars because the staff is hardworking and amazing, however there is a clear issue happening behind the scenes. Given the location I'm really confused as to why there is a staffing shortage. The bartender and host was serving food, being waiters and waitresses, and busing the tables. We had to wait 10 minutes for water, and additional 20 minutes for drinks, and another 40 minutes for food. The food was lackluster, the steak tasted like liver and the eggs were clearly not from the shell. Just an overall horrible experience and I will not return nor recommend. The steak is a French cut (entrecôte) and is served with a gravy aka "secret sauce". The salad is a perfect side portion and served with a house dressing that is light and refreshing, which is good because that's what you get (no other dressing options). The fries, or I should say frites, are cooked perfectly with a nice little crunch to make them dippable in that yummy gravy. They then come by for a second round of steak & frites so you are either fully satisfied or just really full lol. We had a carrot cake for dessert and it was amazing - so hard to find good carrot cake. Best part for me was that they used towels for placemats - why is this so awesome? Because it totally reminded us of my hubby's grandma's kitchen towels & that was heartwarming for a Frenchie who relocated to the states. The male manager, a very nice, tall gentleman, stopped by a few times to ensure we were happy. He was extremely hospitable & when we inquired, the bartender informed us he was the GM. The female manager was running food. Both had such a nice big smile on their faces. All in all this place is great!
