Yummy Taiwanese style desserts with a great selection. We got a taro shaved ice and a passion sorbet B. The shaved ice seemed to have everything under the sun and more than one single bowl. I cannot even describe all the different things - taro paste, Boba balls, taro, balls, caramel, pudding, ice cream, red bean, condensed milk. These are definitely big enough to share, even the medium size. It melted really fast though. The passion fruit sorbet had almond jelly, red bean, taro balls. I'm a huge fan of Meet Fresh and used to drive quite far to satisfy my cravings before this location opened up. That being said, the service and quality here is definitely lacking in comparison to older locations - maybe it's because they know clientele will wait in line regardless? 1) Although they say they check proof of vaccination, they've never actually checked which doesn't feel safe. They also never enforce the social distancing stickers - there's always aunties and uncles who insist on pressing as close as possible in line, and the employee will just stand by and watch when I complain or a verbal argument ensues. 2) There's often only one employee taking care of both the food and the cash register. It's not sanitary (I don't want the same hands that are touching cash to touch my food...) and there's always a long wait (not to mention the orders often get mixed up). Please do better and hire more staff! 3) This last time I visited, I ordered 2 hot soups (the grass jelly signature and a red bean with boba) - both were SUPER watered down with so much liquid that at first, I thought they forgot to put in any toppings at all. Couple weekends ago, I got a chance to try Meet Fresh. Luckily the line wasn't too long. I ordered a few of their signature desserts. 1. Hot Red Bean Soup - very good, but I would have liked it a tad sweeter 2. Hot Grass Jelly Soup Signature - this was bland... needs some sweetness IMHO 3. Icy Grass Jelly Signature - good, but grass jelly wasn't sweet enough... they normally aren't... maybe the soup needed to be sweetened a bit Staff and service was okay. Prices are decent. I went there several times and tried their egg waffles and tofu pudding. The original egg waffle was crispy outside and softly inside. The chocolate deluxe waffle with ice-cream and nuts was so good, and the waffle itself was chocolatey. I like their taro paste, too. Tofu pudding is also a good choice for me, but it would be better if it is more silky. It is good to have a convenient place to eat dessert and rest after shopping. read more

Food: Meet fresh used to be one of my favorite dessert places in China. You could actually taste the taro in the taro balls. But I don't like how the taro balls here in the US just taste like boba - only chewy and feels like they're made from powder. Even the rice balls taste exactly like boba. All the texture are very similar and have no layers. But the red bean soup base is decent and the taro itself is great. Price: it's very pricey. A red bean soup combo comes out to $10+ without adding anything. Service and ambiance: not much service. It's pretty much self serve: you get your own water and pick up your food when it's ready. I've never really cared for the type of desserts this place advertises but I've always seen long lines with this chain. Since my mom is a fan of the type of desserts this place offers, I decided to give it a shot. Our mistake was ordering the wrong items. My mom ordered the grass jelly signature based on the photo and didn't realize it didn't have taro in it. So, she was disappointed because of that. It was just okay and as the name states, there is a lot of grass jelly. I ordered my dad a boba milk tea when he actually wanted the boba cafe advertised on the screen only. The boba milk tea was standard and too sweet since I forgot to ask for sugar adjustment. The one thing I'd get again would be the herbal tea with milk. It was refreshing and the three of us actually enjoyed it. Meet Fresh is just so popular these days! I've come multiple times since LA reopening and I've tried their QQ milk tea and their taro shaved ice. Both are pretty good. The QQ milk tea has baby taro balls which were a little weird tasting (2/5 stars) but the taro shaved ice was really tasty and also came with ice cream and a good assortment of toppings! Order and pay at the kiosk - there's no more ordering with a cashier. Prices are pretty high so expect to pay about $5 for a drink and under $10 (including tax and tip) for a shaved ice or other dessert. Parking is ample in the underground parking lot and there's always plenty of tables even though it's pretty crowded. Their restrooms can be kind of messy/dirty and if they're really busy, the staff forgets to refill the water station (even if you ask them to 3x). Workers here can be a little mean or have attitude probably because they're understaffed or it's just so busy. read more

Not sure if it's due to Covid, I find a lot of the desserts are not available such as the egg waffle. It's quite convenient to order through the iPads on the wall on the right side after you walk inside the front door. Don't mistaken by the people waiting outside. Most likely they have already ordered and just waiting for it outside. I kinda want to try the pudding shave ice but since there is no place to sit down, I ended up getting Strawberry slushy instead. It tasted really good and was exactly what I wanted after a spicy hot pot meal. It's pretty sweet and you can taste the fresh strawberries. My friend tried the taro slushy but unfortunately she didn't like it that much. She find the fresh taro texture a bit funny and was not used to that taste. Overall it was a good experience here. This place is so bomb! I always have to get it when I'm in Artesa/Arcadia area since they don't have one in Anaheim. I love the Taiwanese deserts they serve here especially the red bean with grass jelly! This last time I was here we tried the regular black milk tea, jasmine green tea and milk with grass jelly series and my favorite was the milk with grass jelly! I thought it was just a fancy way of saying milk tea with grass jelly but it's so refreshing especially on a very hot day. The drinks are pre sweetened but there is a small selection of brewed teas that you can adjust if you need to. They also serve snacks such as the waffles. It always smells so good when you walk in! We saw that Meet Fresh had a deal for $8.80 for one ube egg waffle with one drink, so we decided to take advantage of the deal while it lasted. I've come here three times now...once with my fiance to try something new and twice after to work since they had good plug-in areas to work from. I was excited to see usb-c cords already plugged in for the public to use, but when I tried plugging in my laptop, none of the cords worked. I guess they're a third party charger, so it didn't charge the laptop. A+ for effort though, Meet Fresh! On this last visit I ordered a tofu, boba, sweet dessert thing (sorry guys, the name escapes me), and it was so delicious.
