    Caffe Vita roasts! Excellent choice!

This mini market is a hidden gem when it comes to breakfast, lunch and some snacks to munch on, sodas, juice, Vita drip coffee (a fan), teas, bottles water, freshly baked cookies, and some dairy items. FOR BREAKFAST they have prepared food items such as a breakfast burrito, sausage, bacon, and ham sandwiches, scrambled eggs or combinations with sausage, bacon, or potatoes, and biscuits & gravy, toasts, bagel, and made to order breakfast sandwiches. Say no more. They got me at BACON & BISCUITS & GRAVY! FOR LUNCH, they serve daily specials, lasagna, spaghetti, teriyaki, yaki soba, veggie fried rice, made to order or prepared salads, soups (4 kinds), made to order sandwiches, and select fresh fruits. Their staff are freindly and the owner is friendly as well. He will interact with you, make small conversations as well as joke around with you. I think that's neat and makes for a fun and personable experience. I enjoy that they have a trivia question daily and if you get the answer correctly, you get a piece of candy, that's always fun. It's a pretty good place overall, decent tasting food, and the hot entrees for lunch are big portions for what you pay for.

Very cool market you have option to various type of breakfast and lunch options. It's very busy a lunch time goes pretty fast sone things are self served except for hot lunches and sandwiches. Inside seatings while you wait.

I frequent for lunch at least once per work week, going with daily hot lunch specials or delicious sandwiches.

We ended up waiting a little over an hour, even after the restaurant officially closed, but they still served everyone who was already in line, which I appreciated. Once inside, the staff were very friendly and apologetic about the wait. Service was a bit slow, but that's understandable considering how packed they were. The restaurant itself is also fairly small, which likely contributed to the wait. We ordered the fried fish sandwich, salmon sandwich, chowder, and fried oysters. Overall, everything was good, but the standouts for me were the salmon sandwich and the chowder. The salmon sandwich was served cold, which initially caught me off guard because I was expecting it to be hot. After taking a bite, though, I understood why it was served that way, it was fresh, flavorful, and worked really well. The fried oysters were also delicious, especially paired with the dipping sauce. The chowder wasn't quite like the style I'm used to, but it was still rich, flavorful, and worth ordering. The fried fish sandwich--the item I was most excited about--was good, just not my favorite of everything we tried. The best way I can describe it is as an elevated Filet-O-Fish. It wasn't bad by any means, but it's probably not something I'd order again. As for the long line, I wasn't upset about waiting because I knew they were busy, but I probably wouldn't wait over an hour again. I would definitely come back if there wasn't such a long line, because the food and friendly service made it worth another visit.

We are devotees of the RICE BOWL (we add eggs & extra "bowl sauce"). The Toasts are piled high on thick cut fresh Sea Wolf Bread. Yesterday we enjoyed the massive Curried Sweet Potato Toast with tofu, cucumbers & the most flavorful fresh green herb sprinkle. Fun cozy soups or dishes show up seasonally - currently the brothy beans are warm & rich & comforting. ANALOG COFFEE & BSIDE are tiny, mighty & supercool. I noticed the salmon on the menu and decided to give it a try since I was looking for something a little lighter. I am so glad I did. Without exaggeration, it was the best salmon I've ever had. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the sauce and accompanying ingredients brought everything together beautifully. Every bite was outstanding. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic, the service was friendly and attentive, and the bar offered a great selection of cocktails and spirits. If you're visiting Seattle or looking for a great dining experience, I would absolutely recommend Shaker + Spear. The salmon alone is worth coming back for.

It's nice to watch the staff cook because it tells you that the food is fresh. I have high expectations for seafood in Seattle. However, I was disappointed with the scallops as it tasted raw and cool to the touch in the center. I'm not a scallop expert but this one missed the mark - the flavors were off with the sauce (tasted earthy). Presentation and color looked good, but this didn't taste good. Also came here breakfast several times. I don't have pictures, but each time the breakfast was amazing!

Since so many new spots been popping up on the eastside, it was kinda fun to see whats near and quick to grab a bite to eat. This mall was packed...! even after the holiday season, so if you can strategize parking on the fly as you drive in, you should be fine ;) When I walked in, there was hardly a line but a couple in front of me & some people dining along the windows. Theres no signage but start the opposite end of the cash registers to go through a line similar to Chipotle or Panda Express. After several of us lined up, some of the staff came out to get our orders. They have a lot of great choices which I had difficulty narrowing down but ended up with the Chicken Pesto Parm. So good! I appreciated the overall variety of flavor, like the sauteed seasoned broccoli as well as the heated up quinoa and amount of parm, pesto, & hot sauce added so much to what would be 'just' a salad. The side of sourdough bread was great addition as well.
