The pizza was great! They have a good menu with many different things to chose from. We only tried their pizza but would love to try other things at another time. Their pizza crust is something we haven't had before. I think they mix some wheat in the dough; it was pretty good, not too doughy! We also had a mac and cheese for a kids meal and it was good but it is a bit overpriced. Very happy to find a good pizza place without going all the way to midtown or buckhead. read more

I used to love mellow mushroom. I was first introduced to them in Covington LA and I was very excited when I moved to cumming Ga and noticed they were building one in the avenues. This particular one is very small, crowded and loud. The pretzels and pizza are always burnt on the bottom. I have given them three chances since they moved in, three strikes and your out. Cool place, lot's of beer choices which adds a star in my rating automatically. Good wait staff and consistent, flavorful food. Two trips in one. First visit and last visit. Service was horrible. Waited an hour. We were a party of six. One plate was served within 10 minutes of placing the order. Next plate 35 minutes later. Unacceptable. Waitress got the order wrong. Plus the food just wasn't that great. Wife's meal was cold. I could go on and on but what's the use. We went in on a Friday night with a group of 5, we got there right before the rush so we were able to get a table. the service was def on the slow side even before the rush hit. Almost 10 minutes before being greeted by the server, The regular drinks made it to the in decent time but the Adult ones took 15 minutes, and then only to find out that the one I had ordered they didn't have the things to make, so i re ordered and waited about another 10 min. The Pretzels with the beer cheese are AAAAAWESOME! Super Yum I had asked the server what she thought of the Mushroom soup- and between the description and the recommendation- I ordered it- Ate 4 bites and let them have it back, even tried dipping the pretzels in it... no go... ( still paid for it- don't mean it snobby- it just tastes awful, Campbell's in a can with some fresh herbs and mushrooms would have knocked this outta the park.) I don't think the server had ever tired it- Don't recommend things to people when you don't know what it actually tastes like, or tell them you haven't had it before... The bruschetta is pretty tasty as well. my calzone came out first, then the rest shortly followed, but we were a pizza short, about 8-10 min and our server has walked by once and then the manager comes over and gives the woman missing her food a $5.00 coupon and comps her pizza with an apology, lets us know it will be about 8 more minutes til its done cooking, apologizes again, and then she got her food, which was tasty. 3 stars over all with the lack of attention from our server, but the quickness of the manager to handle the situation, I think the pretzels were my fav thing. My calzone didn't have ricotta in it, and the chicken had a weird texture ( so my hubby got a full dinner ) We will come here again just to give it a 2nd chance, but I think next time I will order a pizza and skip the calzone. read more

Was shopping at the Forsyth Avenue n decided to try MM. MM newbie. Got a White Pizza and Garlic Pretzel Knots. It was the worst pizza and pretzels we have ever had. Pizza n Pretzel were extremely greasy. We've had Pennsylvania Pretzels n they are the epitome of what a pretzel should be, especially the Pretzels from the Amish Markets. I dream of those Amish Pretzels, yum! MM pretzels are a disgrace. The food tasted like nothing but grease. The pizza crust was either undercooked or meant to be gooey. The FREE bruschetta (when ordering a large pizza) and the animal balloon twister for the kids was the saving grace of this place. Service was OK, nothing exceptional. Overpriced Pizza too. Really it's just pizza don't know why it's so $$$. Unlikely to try MM again. read more

I don't know what the other reviews are saying but we have ordered four or five pizzas from this location and it's always been very good. We order takeout and after we get it home it's still very good with great flavors very well done. read more

Haven't been to Mellow Mushroom is a couple of years, so we all decide to go. Draft beer menu is decent. Our server Victoria was awesome! She was friendly and helpful! Our food was good! Went here on a friday night only a twenty minute wait and it was crowded. I had the pretzel appetizer and it was amazing. I then had some of there pizza and it was very delicous. The service was fast and the waiter was nice. However a little expensive. Basically a really great resturant. read more

We've been to several mellow mushrooms and this one is at the top of our list. Service is always great. Plates are removed when empty. Food is always fresh. The Greek and Caesar salads are superior with lots of ingredients. I love the Parmesan pretzels. read more

Pizza is good, service not so much. Two of us ordered pretzel bites, which were pizza dough balls, not pretzels....but still good- and we liked the cheese sauce. But the appetizer was deliverers before the server came back to take the order. Once the pizza was delivered- he never came back, I had to ask another server to send him over after about 15 minutes because he didn't bring the dressing I ordered with my pizza. Would have given 5 stars but our group had a few appetizers, and none of them were very good. The wings sucked. Fortunately, the evening was redeemed when we got our pizzas. For the appetizer, we had the pretzel bites and they were delicious. Portion size was also sufficient for a family of 4 adults. Next, we ordered two medium sized pizzas and they were both delicious. Service was a bit slow but the boy/person (Alex) who waited on us was very polite, prompt with refills and attentive to our needs. The pizzas were also bigger than we had expected so we ended up boxing up the remaining slices and taking them home. We were too full to try the dessert menu. I had not been here in some time as I felt their pies wern't as good as I remembered from the OLD Cumming location. But a friend wanted pizza so this is where we went. Wow! They have punched up the sauce and are using enough to keep things messy. We had a House Special and it was killer. Tons of FRESH toppings @nd a crust that was just right.
