Really good food but the wait is long. Order ahead so you don't have to wait long. Has a salsa bar.

Ordered a few items on the menu through Uber eats.. I looked on the app for salsa but didn't see it .. wanted to make sure I got some ..they did have grilled jalapeños.. which in my mind would be Chiles Toreados fresh grilled jalapeños .. not some pickled canned chiles that taste like vinegar .. but that's what I got .. I have been in food service long enough to know that when you send out any to - go order it has ALL the condiments and or accouterments that go with the cuisine you're serving .. so when I ordered $40 worth of food I expect some Salsa from a Mexican restaurant.. I mean I actually never had to ask for it .. it just magically appears in the order .. I've put many a to-go order together and have gone out of my way to make sure the order was complete .. so when a Mexican restaurant doesn't include at least one type of salsa with your order then there's something wrong .. I mean even the fast food restaurants include it The carne Asada taco I ordered was two corn tortillas and the meat .. that's it .. no garnish or onion&cilantro mix or salsa on top .. was dry and pretty tasteless.. big disappointment.. the wet chicken burrito had plenty of chicken which was moist but that's it .. no salsa or beans or cheese or anything to make it palatable.. I ordered rice and beans at an extra charge with my meal. the rice was pretty bland as well .. beans didn't have that homemade taste like it was made with a hint of bacon drippings or smokiness like traditional Mexican restaurants have .. I called Melody's to let them know I was not happy .. got a staff member that listened to me then put me on hold to speak to the manager.. so I waited for few minutes then got hung up on All in all not real pleased with the outcome I'm sure things will get over looked on occasion but it's how you deal with it that makes all the difference.. next time I'll stick with my little neighborhood Mexican spot .. read more

Best Carne Asada fries I've ever had. Hands down! I'm so impressed. Found out that this place is owned by the same owners as Sol dey Luna. Which is my favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. Their meat is the real deal and I crave it on the regular. This place is more divey, taqueria style, where you order and sit yourself. Long lines during peak hours so order pick up or call ahead. We tried the taquitos, carne asada fries, and the carne asada plate. Honestly the asada fries blew my mind. It was my favorite out of the other menu items we tried. Carne asada plate was pretty boring. Meat was very bland. My friend loved the taquitos. She said they were bomb diggity! All in all we would definitely come back again. read more

I'm so utterly disappointed and disgusted with the meal I ordered for takeout. I ordered the carnitas plate and it was the worst ever! Well the rice and dab of beans were descent, but the pork was horrible, it must have been the last of a batch it was dry, hard and fatty the few pieces that were edible tasted old and greasy. I literally feel nauseous. This was one of my favorite places, I was so excited because I hadn't been in a long while and I was hungry. So sad that they would serve what they did, knowing no doubt that it should've gone in the trash. Well it did, mine!Oh and also when my niece was there picking up the food the one person at the takeout window was rude. Haste Nunca Melody's. I'll be going to Salsa and Beer. The first time I came here I was helped by a guy with purple hair and I got the Arroz Con Pollo. It was amazing but it ran through me super fast. I ran up to the counter and he gave me a bathroom token. I ran out to the bathroom in the back, but made the mistake of staring to squirt before I fully sat down. I sprayed all over the seat, and all up my back ruining my Gun's N' Roses T-shirt. I had to take the shirt off and use it clean everything. The second time I came here I was helped by a guy with green hair. I got the Platillo de Carne Asada and it was incredible. The actor Ralph Macchio was in there eating. He told me he was revisiting the old neighborhood. The third time I came here was after the pandemic I was helped by a guy with blue hair. I got the Enchiladas and Hard Shell Taco Combo. It was the best taco I ever had. Before the pandemic you could hardly get a seat in the place. This time it was empty. This place has the best Mexican Food I've ever had, period! read more

Our Uncle wanted us to eat at Las Fuentes but, there was a line and we were all very hungry. So, he decided to go to the next best restaurant, which was just across the street from Las Fuentes: Melody's! Apparently, Melody's is owned by the same people who serve delicious Mexican food at Sol y Luna and, yes, Las Fuentes. I was a bit overwhelmed with the selection of food. So, I took a step back and strategized what we all needed to eat. We ordered the following: Taco de Machaca, Burrito de Carne Asada, Burrito Mojado (burrito topped with Ranchera Sauce and Melted Cheese) Chile Relleno, Tamale Plate, Quesadilla Poblana, and Mom's Flan. There is also a salsa bar which cilantro, onions, and different salsas to add to your food. The servings are HUGE and your orders do come with a side refried beans. The burritos are giant and can be made plain or with sauce on top. Highly recommend the Burrito Mojados. Melted cheese with warm Ranchera sauce slathered on top of a fresh warm flour tortilla stuffed with delicious yummyness. Loved it, would order it again! They also have a Breakfast menu; I wanted to try their Breakfast Burritos and Huevos Rancheros. Oh, I was too stuffed to try their Tortas! So, yes, if I do have the chance to go back in the future, I will most definitely try EVERYTHING on their menu. Melody's food was and is AWESOME! read more

As much as I love Melody's and supporting small businesses. It looks like I will not be visiting here as much if at all any more. Went last night and nobody knew where to line up to order and the people working there didn't really try to help those that were waiting to order. I've been going there for years and know where the line is supposed to be to order and where the line is for phone/pickup orders is at. The line to order ended up in the dining area instead of where it was supposed to be. And the pickups were going through where the orders were to go. The workers along with the manager were mainly taking care of those with phone orders instead of helping both at the same time. The service has never been great here and is getting even worse. We ended up at Las Fuentes across the street which is owned by the same people. How is it that Las Fuentes can keep customers moving and Melody's can't? read more

Super casual spot. You order up front, get your number and pick up your food once your number is called. I had a cheese quesadilla and chicken torta. You must get chips here so you can try their many salsas. The quesadilla is every other quesadilla, but I just love them so I had to try it out. I'm addicted to tortas at any Mexican restaurant and I wanted to thy theirs out. I had a chicken torta and it was presentable and tasted really good. So I've pasted this place several times and know that it's somehow connected to Fuentes of which I tried and wasn't too impressed but we said let's give this a try since we were in the area again. To start the parking is incredibly limited with even less on the street. Then you get inside and the seating area is even worse. This place is set up for more of a takeout which is seems a lot of people do because the line was kind of long and consistent. It took longer to order than for our food tho arrive. This was the negative part of our experience. Now for the actual food. Omg, I thoroughly enjoyed the food. We started with chips of which they charge you for. If you're eating there is $1.20 but if you take them to go it's $2.50 which in my opinion all chips should be free. To their credit, they do give you a good amount of these freshly fried gobble them up chips. My dish of 2 tacos, rice, and beans was super yummy. The tacos were large crispy goodness with a god portion of rice and beans. My husband had a burrito which in both of our opinions was too small. The flavors were there but he didn't even get close to being full. Two thumbs up for the food so I'm willing to put up with the charge of chips, lack of seating, and limited parking. read more

We did others while ago but everything was ok until I got home no tortillas and them went I for pico de Gallo they say no pico the Gallo so there's not point eating Mexican food with out pico because it's Mexican food should be by traditional so don't know why they don't make pico de Gallo so far restaurant are struggling but there's not excuse for given pico de Gallo too no body guy's here I am they forgot to put tortillas on my other not only 1 time this is 2 time and I call says you forgot my tortillas lady come end get it so just simple come on lady so next if u want other anything come with tortillas be prepared to stop by the market first or after here is my approve was better going to the market than going back there because far away so next do the job right read more

Great find. Ive always passed by this place but never really gave it much thought. Came in on a Friday afternoon, no line but most tables were full. Nice selection of salsas ( you have to buy chips separately). The quality of the food was pretty good too. Prices are more than reasonable. Definitely coming back. read more

Melody's!!!!! I haven't been here for years and I'm so mad at myself because going back tonight reminded me...this place is amazing! My favorites on the menu are all the crunchy stuff: the taquitos and the hard shell tacos are AMAZING. Those ranchero burritos are delicious too...the pollo is sooo moist and juicy and the sauce on the outside is really unique and yummy. Food is still great but the prices have doubled which is no good. A carne asada burrito dry used to be $7-8 around ten years ago. Today its at $15. In another ten years it will be $30. See where this is going. It is unacceptable and unsustainable for business. The place used to be packed even on a weekday and when i went in to pick up my $15 burrito last week the whole place was empty except for one or two people. The burrito was also slightly smaller too. Staying in the area for a week, craving Mexican food, and our son and his girlfriend recommended this - and we were super happy with our food! It was also a good sign when we walked in at 4pm on a Thursday and it was busy. Usually restaurants are pretty quiet at that time of day. We both got burritos. My husband's chili relleno burrito was great! And when I ordered a burrito con pollo, they asked if I wanted grilled or shredded chicken. Grilled! And it was the right choice - so good! Loved the 3 salsas on the salsa bar and the option to take extra onions, cilantro, and hot peppers. We'll be back! read more

Came to Melody's tonight. My first time eating here. Luckily i was able to get a table as soon i came in which was after 8 pm, every other table was occupied. Busy little restaurant. When you are ready to order you go up to a cashier and give them your order. I ordered the burrito de machaca mojoda ( it cost $7.99). Its a wet shredded beef burrito. It was well cooked my beef was hot. My cousin ordered a grilled chicken taco which looked properly cooked. She said her taco was great, very tender chicken. My primo added his own flare to his burrito de asada, he added salsa verde to his, no complaints in his part. He was quiet while eating his meal so it was obvious that he enjoyed his custom burrito. Customer service, was decent. No interaction from any of the workers except the gentleman on register. Ive always love the look of Mexican architecture and crafts and this small restaurant passes that. read more

I dragged one of my former high school upperclassmen here to reconnect and reunite over the summer because we love to eat and this was close to my house. The day we picked to hang out was one of the worst possible because LA decided to pull 100°F on us so we had to limit our activities for the day. We settled on just eating and talking because that's all we really wanted to do anyway. We came for lunch, so I ordered a Jamaica [hibiscus tea] and a wet burrito de chile relleno [basically a burrito filled with a fried, cheese-stuffed poblano pepper]. Ordered it in-house and received a tray with a number stand. I then freaked out for a good three minutes because all the seats inside were taken, and I contemplated very deeply whether or not to ask any of the groups of 2 if they were willing to share their 4 person table with my friend and me, until I realized there was ample seating right outside the door. I felt foolish to say the least, but at least my problem wasn't real anymore. Salsa bar is solid. Stood there when I was having my existential crisis but also they had good salsa. They brought the food out to us (which is why we had that number stand) and then we dug in. The heat was kind of combatted by the fans outside but even then, the combination of food and heat made us so lethargic. They had classic Mexican music playing out of speakers outside so that was also soothing. We made the heat work somewhat. In the end, I couldn't finish my burrito. It was delicious (don't get me wrong), but also was a huge portion, and I made the mistake of eating breakfast, so this huge burrito couldn't fit itself entirely in my stomach. I was exhausted and was about to food coma. Don't be mistaken; I wasn't grieving. Rather, I was rejoicing because *leftover* delicious food is the only thing better than delicious food itself! Got myself a to-go box and was good to go. Parking was a little bit of a hassle, but this was remedied by my friend's dear mother dropping us off and picking us up later. (Shout out to Lily's mom!) I recommend this place. It definitely feels like another incarnation of Las Fuentes, which is fantastic. read more

Hi my friend a I went to have dinner on12/17/24 about 7:00 ish my friend and I have been dinning here many times we ordered 2 tocitos dinner only received 1 dinner I asked the young server what happened to the other dinner he said oh you only paid for 1 okay fine and he walked away so we keeper waiting a asked what's going on after 20min. Requested delivery Ordered carnitas taco and albóndiga soup. When I got the race the meat was so dry and hard to eat . I condiments , such as salsa or lemon . We've ordered a few times now through Grubhub and they always have the timing wrong. They will tell you 40 to 50 mins for food but Melody's usually has ready to go in 20 mins or so so don't wait or food gets cold. We really love their cheese enchiladas and chicken tacos the best although I'm sure other food is equally fantastic but we love those so much we haven't ventured beyond them lol. My husband loves that they keep the tacos separate from the enchiladas so that they don't lose their crunch. He also loves that they always include guac and sour cream in with our orders as well. Ok I've ordered from here twice now and I've got to say it's pretty darn tasty. Portion sizes are good, I got 2 meals out of the burrito and when I ordered the chile rellanos this time I could only eat half again. They get that extra star because the beans are homemade and absolutely wonderful and the rice is flavorful and not at all dry. The chile relleno is good sized and the batter is good, not too eggy like some places. The sauces are delicious and well worth it especially on the burrito. This is a local place for me so I'm sure it'll become a regular. I don't eat out often, but when I do I'm sure this place will be on the list. The last time I was able to order online, I mentioned to the young lady behind the counter that I called multiple times and they don't answer.
