All I can saw is WOW. This truly is the best croissant I have ever had. After trying Arsicault, no…read moreother baked goods have compared and I can't wait to go back. I tried the regular croissant, the almond croissant, and the kouign-amann. My favorite was 100% the almond croissant. All were amazing but the flavors and textures were truly exceptional. The flakiness, the caramelization, the perfect balance of flavors. I wished I had ordered 10 more. Also, the staff were so kind, the line moved quickly, and bonus: all the items freeze exceptionally well!

My OG review still stands, and this review is for this location only. I originally went to the…read moretenderloin location, which is much nicer and has a nice display of pastries. I'd recommend going to that one vs this teeny tiny location. It's not a great representation of the Ariscault as a whole. I think we came here around 2 pm, so almost close to closing, but 90% of items were sold out. Yet there was still a huge queue. Why close so early and be out of stock so fast if ppl clearly still want croissants at 2 pm on a Saturday? Also, they forgot two croissants in our bag, and we turned around 30 seconds later and told them they're missing. They needed to "verify" our order, which made me feel like I'm a thief. I promise I'm not stealing when I already spent $37 there. I just want what I paid for!! Anyways, check out the other 2 locations if you're not a local who lives nearby, as they're much nicer.

You can also order ahead online if you want to minimize wait time. Just make sure to bring cash since they're cash-only. Food: The flaky crust instantly brought back childhood memories. We tried the red bean and black sesame flavors, and both were excellent. The seaweed paired beautifully with the red bean, adding a subtle umami depth that balanced the sweetness perfectly. The black sesame flavor tasted rich, nutty, and authentic; true to its name without tasting overly processed or filled with unnecessary additives.

It was absolutely heavenly. The standout was the bolo bun with guava butter. Imagine guava jam and butter had a delicious baby and being tucked inside a warm, soft pineapple bun and that's exactly what it tasted like. We also tried the classic butter bun, which was excellent, but the guava version was the winner for us. For something savory, we ordered the salted egg yolk and BBQ pork bun, and it was delicious. The combination of sweet, salty, and savory flavors worked really well together. We also tried the pandan bun, which was fine, but it didn't quite stand out compared to the other flavors. I wish we had time to come back and sample more of the menu. I had my eye on the matcha and red bean varieties and would have loved to try them. I also ordered a Hong Kong milk tea and it was rich and strong. They even serve it with a mini warm bolo bun on top of the cup, which is both adorable and delicious. Pineapple King is the kind of place I would happily travel back to San Francisco for. Now if they could just open a location in LA my life would be complete!

Today's was tomato basil,…read moreand it was very basil forward and over flowing with heirloom tomatoes which made it almost refreshing which sounds strange for pizza but it was so satisfying. With a crispy undercarriage and still somehow perfectly chewy melty, it had a great balance . I also got a chocolate chip cookie which was massive for the price, chewy and not too sweet. The service was quick but the out door seating was full today, which reflects the popularity of this quaint and highly popular location. Luckily it's a quick walk to the park and even through the extra distance, the pizza was still crispy and delicious.

I've always wanted to try this place since I see a line every time I walked by. There's a lot of foot and car traffic. It's definitely a busy area so expect to park in one of the nearby residential areas or be extremely and walk/bike/bus here! Upon stepping into the tiny shop, I was enveloped in the sweet smell of chocolate chip cookies. It was tempting to put that in my bag, but I stuck with my game plan. They do self serve for all the baked goods and drinks except the pizza and focaccia. You tell the cashier what you grabbed. There's self serve complimentary water on the side too. Got a pecan swirl, one of each square focaccia flavors, and a half pizza (hot). The pizza flavor of the day was triple mushroom with sesame ginger garlic vinaigrette and mozzarella. It was 10/10 delicious!! Do note that they don't heat up the focaccia. Personally, after tasting everything, I'd say the pizza is more worth it than the focaccia "pizzas". The pecan roll was quite addicting too. You can also skip the line if you want to order online on their website and schedule a pick up time, but my gift card didn't work so I just waited in line.
