We were seated quickly and given drinks, but that was the only positive part of the visit. My friend's Jamaica tasted off. We were placed in the back open area where it was cold and damp, and the air vents directly above us were covered in visible black mold (photos attached), which is unacceptable. I ordered menudo and my friend ordered chilaquiles. The tripe for my menudo came out on a separate plate completely cold. When I told the waitress, she said she would microwave it. It came back extremely hard and rubbery. The menudo itself was bland, chewy, and had no flavor. The chilaquiles were just small broken tortilla chips mixed with scrambled eggs, no real sauce, and topped with yellow cheese. No one asked whether eggs were wanted or how they should be prepared -- it was simply assumed. When we questioned it, the waitress said she was from Juarez and didn't know. We sat there for 30 minutes trying to finish the meal. When paying, we were asked how everything was but were talked down to by the cashier as if we didn't know what we were talking about. The food quality has clearly declined under new management and cooks -- no flavor, poor service, and unsanitary conditions. I went to the drive thru this morning and they forgot some of my order and was told they were only going to compensate with a tea if I would go back after I already gotten home. Very disappointed and would not recommend. I definitely will not be going back. This has happened more than twice with this restaurant. Do better! read more

It's very very rare I hand out a 1 star review unless the food made us sick.... Here is the rare occasion where the food was sooo bad, it spoke for itself. When the qoute of the day was, "we should've gone to bill millers next door" that is the sum of our lunch experience. Nothing will ruin a beautiful church sermon ever, but dang if this establishment didn't put a damper on our day. The midget ordered enchilada plate, the misses had the shrimp fajitas, and I had the chicken/beef/shrimp fajitas.. there is nothing positive to say. First my son said his enchiladas didn't even taste melted. He loves them, but for him to give a thumbs down..... I always try to be nice, as much as I can, but I'm so upset this place has a 4 star review on google. It's either employees, friends, or family of the restaurant that are voting! Shame on you all! The beans were still hard yet manage to taste slightly burned at the same time! We asked for all corn tortillas, and they brought us mostly flour. I asked for sausage and chorizo as an extra on my parillada, and they got the sausage right, but then in the most perplexing thing, brought me a bowl of half cooked chorizo?!!! The fajitas in the misses plate, were COMPLETELY different than mine! Like different meats. The chicken, looked like a slice of the chicken you get at heb in the DELI dept. The skewer on top was edible. I have some kitchen experience, and was a private chef for a spell. I KNOW the taste of an unclean top used to cook meat. This reeked of a dirty cook top! Save yourself money, your tastes buds, and your sanity. Just drive down the street to the amazing hole in the wall taqueria Jalisco in the shopping center on five palms. Caldo de pollo 6/10 Barbacoa 6/10 Rice 6/10 Homemade corn tortillas 7/10 I dropped off my vehicle for service at Northpark Toyota. My wife and I stopped by while we waited. The caldo had large chunks of bell pepper, carrots, onions, celery and squash. The broth had a different vegetable flavor because of the bell pepper and celery. It was not bad at all. The barbacoa had very good texture and good flavor. The homemade corn tortilla pairs perfectly to enhance the flavor of the barbacoa. read more

Visited San Antonio recently and this was my favorite spot we ate at. We stopped by for a late breakfast/early lunch and it wasn't too busy. Our server was great, he was so attentive and got us everything we needed right off the bat. I ordered the tostadas norteñas (pictured) and it came with a cup of charro beans, guac and sour cream (not pictured) all for $8.99!! Such a good deal for the amount of food. I went for the carne asada as my meat and it was so tender, juicy and flavorful. Since we went for lunch we didn't have a chance to enjoy a drink but I've been told that in the evening it's more lively with music and mariachis. Next time I visit SA I'll be coming back + recommending this place to anyone who visits! read more

I have been to this restaurant several times and the food had been good with descent portions. This time I ordered takeout for the beef soup with extra veggies and meat which is the exact order I had dinning in. But the containers for takeout were much smaller than the dinning in containers. We got extra container for the meat but not for the veggies. We called back and questioned it, but they stated that the extra veggies were put in the small containers. The taste was not season like the dinning in dish. So, if you want good food, do not order takeout! read more

My family and I decided to try this restaurant out for the first time. We went inside and unfortunately it was some sort of DJ Karaoke night. The music was so loud that we just wanted to hurry up and get out. The food was ok, nothing special. When I got the bill it had an extra plate on it that we never ordered. So I went to the booth where you pay and the lady rolled her eyes when i told her about being over charged. She made me feel like i was in the wrong. She never once apologized for the mistake. Then to top it off, we asked for some "to go" containers for our left over food. They charged us for them on our bill. I brought it up to the manager who i must say was a very nice man, but his answer to me was "sorry i can't do anything about it, the owners are the ones who decided to charge for the containers" I have never ever been in my life been charged for "to go containers at a restaurant" Save your money and your time and avoid this place. read more

This was awesome! Seriously the best Mexican food I've had in awhile. My husband got two carne asada burritos and was THRILLED with them. I had the #20, I didn't eat the salad but the enchiladas were great. The salsa that came with it was great, just the right spice. When I mentioned it to the manager, he made very little effort to assess the situation.
