An okay spot to dine if you're staying at the hotel due to convenience, but I wouldn't recommend it…read moreif you're not. There were plenty of tables available when we came on a Friday night, however, we were assigned a pager and asked to wait about 15 minutes. I believe it was because they didn't have enough servers, which is probably why service was also slow once we were finally seated. The food is alright. I would recommend the chile relleno burger wrapped in a flour tortilla. It was very good but also very messy to eat. The surf & turf special they have on Fridays was meh. The steak had lots of gristle and wasn't very seasoned. They also have a prime rib special on Saturdays, but we didn't come the following night.

Turquoise Trail Bar & Grill "hands down" the best choice within the casino for dining. A shame…read morethey've gotten such negative feedback as our experience was not! We were staying one night at the hotel and decided to have dinner here based on the other two locations Turquoise Trails menu seemed to fit more along the lines of what we were wanting. Happy with our decision from start to finish. It was during the weekday (Wednesday) , so it wasn't too busy and we were seated right away when we arrived just before 6 PM. Sat at the bar. Our server & bartender was very friendly and attentive. Believe his name was Ronnie. He kept our glasses filled, was super attentive and professional. Started with their salsa that is served with fresh corn tortilla chips. Salsa was extremely unusual, served warm, consistency great, tasted good, but could have had much more heat. Decided on their "special" that evening which was a 10 oz strip streak and fries for $17.99. Absolutely worth it! It came with a deliciously fresh chimichurri sauce that was amazing & tasted just like I'd make it at home. The fries were good and requested them extra crispy which they also were. Pleased with our experience & couldn't believe that the prices were so reasonable- plus the efficiency of service and staff. If travel through the area again we will definitely be back! *Note: Can be a little confusing in finding; FYI it's located downstairs.

We could not make a reservation, but figured we would try to get a table anyway, I'm glad we went. Great restaurant, very close to our hotel, the Hostess was amazing and made us feel welcome. Aaaaand you can go ahead and skip this place…read more 1st, I indicated that this meal was in celebration of my birthday and not a single comment about my celebration was made. Though I heard other peoples tables getting celebrated for various things. (A minor complaint compared to a poor meal, but worth noting.) 2nd, the food was truly mid at best. The presentation was lackluster and the flavors were on a whole bland and uninspired. Between my husband and I we ordered the Shrimp app (overcooked and rubbery butterfly shrimp), the pickles side (truly a bunch of random pickled items laid out on a plate with no thought to presentation, it was like my at home fridge clean out meals. Yall should look at the way Campo does their pickle jar.), the Santa Fe Spicy Hot chicken and waffles (zero spice. ZERO SPICE. Where is the hot sauce guys?!), the snapper with calabacitas (this is not an exaggeration, but it was TWO slices of zuchinni and the rest was over cooked chopped onion and hominy with zero color. And the rice was literally "Butter Rice". Are we serving sides for toddlers now? Where is the flavor? ), and the outrageously dry Kentucky Butter Cake. So dry I struggled to swallow it, and I am a dessert girl through and through, I'll basically eat anything with sugar, but this was so tough to stomach. In addition, our server was a new gal being trained and she was pretty inattentive. Late to take orders, and very late to give us our check after our sad bland meal with my husband desperately trying to make eye contact so we can get the heck out of here. My mocktail was the highlight of the meal, but I think it's easy to see that the rest was a bust. We ended up going to the Four Seasons bar for a second round of dessert because I was so disappointed in my nice birthday meal being a waste of money and the drive up from ABQ.

The staff was friendly and genuinely knowledgeable, offering thoughtful recommendations and making the whole evening feel relaxed and unhurried. Every dish was incredibly fresh and so well balanced. You can really taste the care that goes into the ingredients. The flavors were creative without being over the top, and everything felt perfectly seasonal. It's one of those meals where you want to slow down and savor every bite. It's definitely a place you plan ahead for, but it's absolutely worth it. If you're in Taos and want a memorable dining experience, Love Apple is a must.

This was a must stop recommended by many people so we were happy to secure a reservation and dine there. Ambiance was nice, we enjoyed the warm lighting and how it was inside an old historic catholic church. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable as well. I will say- the food was decent but it was nothing extravagant or to write home about like others have mentioned in the past. A lot of items on the menu have like one or two ingredients that I feel throw the dish off, so it was difficult deciding what to get there. We ordered the cornbread, mussels, the trout and the bison when we went for dinner. By far my biggest complaint with the whole experience was the fact that it is a cash only establishment, with no ATM even available on the property. You have to drive beforehand to the closest Allsups and withdraw whatever you feel will be the most for the check plus gratuity. This really limits what you can/can't get on the menu depending on how much cash you bring. I personally do not enjoy feeling limited by that or having to do math at the table in my head to make sure I got enough to cover it all. This also makes people look at the menu beforehand maybe online to get a good idea before driving to said gas station. They say on the website it's because "By forgoing transaction fees, we can better support our employees, serve organic food, and boost our local economy." but in reality I believe it's because they do not want to pay credit card fees and whatnot. Their sister restaurant Manzanita (which we also dined at) was not cash only though which was odd if they are related, so something isn't lining up at The Love Apple. We still had the best time with each others company which matters the most celebrating a special occasion, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to tell everyone that they gotta go there when they are in Taos.

I'm not sure what's happened to Vinaigrette, but the entire experience was completely disappointing. I asked the server to bring bread with our meal and was presented with some kind of focaccia bread stick that was hard and stale. What happened to the wonderful bread that used to be served there! I ordered the Tuna Salad, and my friend ordered the Beet Salad. While there was a generous amount of tuna, it was shredded into very small pieces and the salad was dry. It was completely underwhelming and unsatisfying. My friend commented the dressing on her salad was very sweet and the pistachios were ground up into the goat cheese. I'm very surprised at the quality of the dishes as I've never had a less than great experience there prior to this experience. I hope this was an isolated incident but will think twice about returning.

Upon arrival, I informed the bartender (at a time when the restaurant was not busy) that I'd sit outside. She acknowledged me, invited me to take a menu, and then failed to tell the server that I was sitting in the back patio area. By the time the server saw me, she apologized and said the bartender hadn't informed her. After our server clocked out, her replacement was slow or distracted, never offering me a second beer or ensuring our waters stayed full. Our actual server, though, was outstanding. She's tried enough of the menu items to be able to provide detailed information and smart suggestions. We liked her a lot! Management material, IMO. Started with the Bow & Arrow dark lager and a cup of the mushroom stew. I thought it was a great combo and paired well with the fresh focaccia, which was a steal at $2 for 4 slices (served with quality EVOO and balsamic)! Perfect stew dunker and salad companion. For entree, I got the pepita salad, and my friend got the pear-fessor. We both enjoyed our choices. Cumin dressing in the pepita was light and bright, and it's one of the few salads that comes with a protein (shredded chicken). Lovely little tables on front and back patios. All seating is hard, so BYO cushion. Will return when the peach burrata salad is back on the menu!
