I brought my car in to address an error code that was preventing me from passing smog. I paid about $300 for the repair, but the underlying problem wasn't resolved, which was frustrating. I ended up paying for a repair that didn't solve my issue, which I regret. I later had my regular mechanic look at it and he was able to fix the problem. It was very complex. Based on that experience, I just wish the diagnosis and repair here had been more thorough.

In terms of the cost, it was fair and Sal was conscious in providing the options. This allowed me to think and research the issue. My second visit was a similar experience and I felt compelled to share this in case it helps anyone make a decision when looking for fair and decent repair shop. Today we brought in our Honda because the front left tire (driver side) kept triggering our TPMS light on the dash and come to find out a huge nail/screw was just resting in-between the threads causing the leak to set off our TPMS light. Hubby said that Big O Tires is the one who services our tires and that's where we pointed our compass. Upon arrival, Adam, the manager at Big O Tires was professional and stated that he could repair the tire and in no time flat (pun intentionally intended) he was on the tire, handled the Bizness and off we rolled to our next venture! I asked the other staff member for advice and she told me she has nothing to say because he's the boss. So I agreed to sign and continue business with him and he told me not to look at him, I was so baffled. I had to keep my mouth closed because I needed the service because I couldn't drive my car anymore. He had no compassion and was using his authority to intimidate me, telling me not to look at him while we're having a conversation. If I wasn't desperate for service I would and never will do any business with this company let alone this location.. I'm highly disappointed on the service I've felt with today.

This shop caused multiple areas of damage to my car and I would not return…read more The damage was never disclosed to me, not when the work was completed, not when I picked up my car, and not when I paid for the repaint job. I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable. I even tried to negotiate a different solution by providing multiple repair estimates from other reputable auto shops and he responded by calling this practice "dishonest" (very ironic, I know). I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important to be transparent about my experience. I put my trust in this shop to restore my car's appearance, but instead I'm forced to deal with additional damages they caused.

What really impressed me was the customer service. They also performed an alignment and even gave my car a nice detail before handing it back to me. It's those extra touches that show they actually care about their customers and take pride in their work.
