My 1st ever yelp review was written a couple years ago because of this Midas. It was truth filled and EXTREMELY negative concerning this establishments unethical practices and shoddy work. I was one of the many here, who were swindled and cheated by the PREVIOUS owner, Curtis Correll. That man LIED to my face, on more than one occasion. He was (is) a snake and if ya live here in the valley you know...he will get EXACTLY what he deserves. That said: I didn't think I would EVER step foot in a Midas ever again. PERIOD. But when I heard that the previous owner had FINALLY been indicted (and he certainly deserves it!!! Personally, I hope they throw the book at him and he goes to jail. The DA's got my number, so I can help with that) Anyhoo~I knew that Curtis had done me wrong (you can look at my previous review for details on that) and also had done sub par work that desperately needed addressing. I had a warranty so I decided to go back in (knowing that he (Curtis) wasn't there) and see about them making his mess right!!! I have to tell you, the new owner is quite simply, AWESOME. He heard me out (he also had all the records) and he took care of it, the best he could, under the circumstances, and he fixed my car. I am safe on the road now. He had great concern in showing me understanding and compassion for my situation and ordeal with the previous crook (sorry, that Curtis guy really got under my skin...made me so mad. Lying to my face and cheating me...the big jerk) I'm just sorry that Navi (I hope I spelled that right sir:) the NEW OWNER, has to be the 'mop up guy' for his lousy predecessor. Poor guy has to deal with the many disgruntled and rooked customers that HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH. Sorry, that I was one of them but THANK-YOU!! Thank-you!! Many blessings!!!!!! I AM SURE, given the time and the 'lost' business...back, that he will turn this establishment around and have it be what it should be and what we ALL expect from an established reputable business that has the pleasure of serving the great people here in the Napa Valley!! Unfortunatly that guy curtis the con man is the brunt of the asshole litter uses high pressure sales tactics to make us all look like idiots when im sure nearly 90 percent of us of a higher education then that old man. His unorthodox high pressure sales tactics is whats exaclty killing the napa, vacaville branch. see i want honestly and "Integrity" when i deal with repair shops i mean dont try to bullshit me or anyone use about what will happen to this part as we all know. However, becides my experience with curtis and meeting the new owner which will have full control of napa and vacaville in the next month or so from what i hear per contract with midas. The new owner navi is awesome, doesnt pull a curtis and actually provides me a service and actually honers warrentys. So folks till about the end of march if you see curtis- gray hair, glass's working in ether napa or vacaville as he makes his way out i would say stay the hell away till end of next month or unless you run into navi. My girlfriend just took her car in their without my knowledge and when she called me i asked who helped her when she said curtis i dropped my phone and hauled ass to the store only to get within 2 blocks of the store and sell my fucking bmws engine smoking because dip shit curtis had told only of his guys to loosing a part to sneak in his sales tactics and resulting in my engine seizing up mother F.. so i have filied a clam with the DA and when i get the bill for my new engine i will be filing a lawsuit against curtis and possible midas. lol 2 lawsuits in 5 months. maybe its you retire you desperate old dirtbag. Midas you guys now better then to let this piece of trash that just destroyed my bmw engine to continue running operations despite the lawsuits. what needs to happen is you get rid of his happy butt and let the new awesome owner take it over completely. HORRIBLE SERVICE! DON'T GO TO MIDAS NAPA! I needed an oil change for my vehicle. Couldn't decide where to take it to. My husband showed me a coupon for an oil change, tire rotation and brake check. We needed the rotation and our brakes were squeaking loudly. We took the car to Midas. The first guy to help us seemed fairly new. Didn't really know much. We asked him to check our brakes and rotate the tires. We left for afew hours. When we came back, the same guy was at the counter. We asked him if the tires were rotated..he said "yes". We asked how the brakes look. He had to go out and ask, came back in with "they're good". We were surprised, considering they were so loud. But we trusted in Midas. Afew days went past, for some reason, It had hit me all of a sudden that a month or so earlier I had noticed a nail in my front passenger tire. I walked over to my car to look at the front passenger tire. Low and behold...there was the same nail in the same tire. The tires in fact had not been rotated. I was very upset and now wondering if anything had been done. I called Midas and spoke to a wonderful employee named "Lane". I explained it to Lane and he had told me when I needed and oil change again to bring the car back in and he will give me a free oil change. Lane told me he wanted to make it right.2 weeks later my brakes were than grinding. VERY frustrating. I had them checked..needed new brakes after all..I felt deceived. Lied to! A few months later I needed my oil changed. So I called Midas to make an appt. I asked for Lane and he was off that day. I explained the situation to the man on the phone. He was very arrogant and rude. He informed me he was the owner and that none of his employees would ever say that. He argued with me about the whole situation and told me he is not willing to do that. My tires were never rotated, my brakes were in fact bad and now I'm wondering if my oil was ever changed. The service has always been fair at this shop So I was surprised at some of the remarks left by what I can only think is the work of there competitors as I thought so at the advisement posted on Yelp from Joe K I noticed he has very few friends and his account is brand new just like mine So I reached out to the California Attorney Generals office and they said there case was closed and accusations dropped I also looked up some other interesting information also found was this Midas dealer actually sold back in January of this year and NBC was lied to Or NBC lied to the public when they stated that the store wasn't sold so I looked further and my beloved Napa Valley Register Posted a article some 4/5 months ago about the same old news but even when I reached out they stated yes they ran the article but also forgot to state that the Midas dealer had always issued refunds to customer & cars where repaired at his expense then I reached out to The Bureau of Automotive Repair and spoke to Dan Britbach this person I should say right now is at best passive aggressive and reminds me of going to register my car at DMV he may have been transferred from DMV in any account not a people person he stated that yes the dealer sold and yes the case was closed but couldn't answer my questions about the compliants because he was to busy with some 3500 complaints against the likes of pepboys & firestone good year and some 200 dealerships he just didn't want to give me the taxpayer information So I think at best if you want to really get the truth always ask to see what is wrong with the part because if looks bad it must be bad I have always trusted this location and remain a Loyal Midas customer read more

Without question THE WORST customer "service" experience I've suffered; enough so that I am persuaded to write my first negative review... ever. Went in to Midas Petaluma November '17 for a (seemingly) quick/easy oil change, tire rotation, & balance on my '84 diesel wagon. Manager Bob said they could do right away, no other customers in the shop. I waited for TWO HOURS while parts were ordered without my consent, the mechanics fumbled with my car, lowering the car on the rim of tire TWICE, & struggled so much to put the lid back on the oil filter housing that they ended up using sealant (a 30+ y/o car... personally have changed the oil, NEVER needed a glue on the cap...). The next time I drive my car on the highway there's a rumbling, so I decide to switch out the tire (the one whose rim I had seen the mechanics pinch) w/ my spare & the rumbling is gone (Also, the spare blew out on the 405, in rainy rush-hour traffic; not directly these jokers' fault, but wouldn't have occurred if the service I came in for had been completed.). I then received a text from Midas asking for a(n internal) review of my experience. I gave a version of this review, eliciting a call from the franchise owner, Curtis. We spoke, he authorized a check to refund the cost of the balance service (that clearly wasn't performed). Here I am, THREE MONTHS later, & I STILL have not received the check. I have had to call these people more times than I can count, always getting pushed off to someone else, some excuse, NEVER AN apology. Well I have never been to a place where they actually take the time to fully explain what they charge for I came in this past Saturday with out a appointment and they where very busy and I mean so busy that there was a line the guy that waited on me and my first time driver daughter was very pleaseant to deal with we had just purchased a used car her very first and i explained that we didnt know much they took us out and showed us our inspection and gave us a plan on how to maitain our investment the price about 40.00 the information priceless if your looking for the cheapest price on a oil change I went to the Walmart in American Canyon spent 38.00 plus a bunch of fees and they left my oil filter loose I would HIGHLY recomend Midas to all of my friends the guy that waited on me his name Robert was very friendly and had a smile the rest of the crew very quick they vaccumed my car washed the windshield and check all the fluids,and even offerd to rotate my tires for FREE omg what else could I ask for I WILL BE BACK read more

After sitting at another car repair shop for 2 hours(somewhere I have been going since I moved to Napa 2 year ago), I was unhappy with the quote I received for the maintenance my car (2012 Nissan Altima) required; a new mass air flow sensor and new front rotors/brake pads, +$900. I stepped outside to do some personal research and decided to call Midas. The owner of this shop, Curtis answered and graciously gave me a quote for the same repairs (without knowing what I was quoted previously) for MUCH less. I was so happy with his quote that I left the place I have been going to for 2 years and went to Midas. Curtis fit my car in to the schedule and got all the maintenance done for me! I am so happy with my experience here, my loyalty will now fall with Midas! Thank you for the positive experience and professional customer service. DON'T GO HERE unless you know about auto repairs or you will spend more than needed. I went and got great service for my truck and left a favorable review on 2/5/13 so I sent my wife with her suv for an oil change with a coupon she got in the paper and they tried several times to over charge for unneeded work. 1. They would not honer the coupon insisted the car did not qualify for the coupon it needed "high mileage" type oil which at 50,000 miles is BS. 2. They tried to sell her $1,000 worth of struts which at 50,000 miles is scam there are fine and usually in modern cars last over at least 100,000 miles. Suggested the car would not be safe for our daughter. 3. Said the air filter needed replacing - it is a $50 K&N reusable air filter not disposable and clearly marked as such. It was not dirty and did not need replacing. If you are looking for a place to waste your money head on over. read more

Complete follow through and great customer experience! I went there for an oil change last Monday. When my car was done, the technician had left smudge marks of oil all over my beige dashboard. I brought this to the attention of Curtis, who (at the time) I did not know was the owner. He immediately handled the situation by telling me to go next door to the car wash center, and they would be sure to completely take care of it...which they did, and then some. The next morning I noticed that my hubcap was missing because of the tire rotation. After work, I called Midas, and even though it was after hours, Curtis told me to stop in and he would replace it immediately. I showed up, and he was apologetic, and put the new hubcap of quickly. Curtis seems to be very driven to ensure his customers have a good experience, every time. I would highly suggest using them for your oil changes and repairs. read more

I'd give this place a ZERO if I could. Took my Jeep here for the 2nd time with the $29 coupon for an oil change. First, the guy behind the counter was on the phone, I gave him my mileage and he put the phone down asked me for my keys and went out to get it anyway. I asked him why and he never answered me. I gave him my coupon, he continued to talk on the phone never acknowledging me, and when he did, asked me to sign for the oil change...$89???? What? I said what about the coupon and he said they had to use synthetic oil. What a liar! My jeep is 2 years old and doesn't need that and he didn't even ask. I asked him if he'd honor the coupon and he said no, rudely. This is the second time they've been rude and not helpful. I went next door to Quality, they changed my oil and honored the $29 coupon and gave me a car wash credit. I hate Midas! read more

These guys helped me out big time. i dont know who else offers life time warrently meaning free brake pad replacement for as long as you own the car meaning you can reach another 100k miles and they replace the pads with just pay for labor pads for free. lets get down to the truth many dealers will actually try to upsell you but like it states in their oil change menu you get a 17 point inspection which includes wiper inspection filter inspection etc. i watched them without them noticing me and as soon as they pulled the filters they where black which i wouldnt be surprised because never had them replaced. test drove the car with mechanics and it went great so i can trust these guys. maintaining your vehicle the proper way is expensive thats just he truth of a car ownership especially as they get older read more

He lied to me about EVERYTHING. I had to call the police. now think about that. I was experiencing some sketchy stuff with my car, I have to commute from Napa to Vacaville 5 days a week. So the other day when I was on the highway my engine started acting up and I think misfiring so bad that my steering was compromised. When I got back to Napa my car limped to Midas. I figured maybe an oil change might help, so they changed it and looked over the car and told me a few issues I had going on with it. One of which was both air filters were clogged with dirt. Bingo. It must have been runnin rich because of that, it would explain misfiring. Problem solved. If they just changed my oil and called it a day my car would have been just as sketch as it was. Went to Midas in Napa for oil change and technician showed me the cabin filter which was full of leaves. He asked if I wanted a new one for $40. I declined and went to parts store and paid $8. I pulled out the old one and he didn't even shake the leaves off. He seriously must have kept it level so no leaves came off. What a D! Won't be going back or recommending if this is the customer service they provide. Don't know why I went back because the last time I went they told my brakes were so worn that it would be dangerous to drive away without replacing them. I drive 3 more months on them and when I replaced them they still had 10% pad left. read more

I just came in for an oil change and brake inspection the service was great after the brake inspection the manager by the name of Curtis brought me out to the car to show me what was going on he explained everything to detail and the prices were fair so he told me the work would take an hour if I wanted to get it done and also offered a lifetime warranty on the brake pads so I got the work done they had me in and out in an hour I will always come back when I need work done I would recommend midas to anyone read more

Midas in Napa and Curtis are very customer service oriented. We had a tire issue with our rental car and went to Midas since they were the only ones open on Sunday as well as on July 4th. Curtis and his team were very efficient and gave us great advice on no charge at all. Because of this recommendation we were able to have a safe drive back to Arizona without any issue. I had a bad experience today. Came in early , they told me to leave my car for 1 hour then before I left manager said 2 hours. Came back 2 hours later and they said still working on it. The fact is my car was never moved! When I asked for the manager said if you don't want to wait take your car and gave me my keys. I said this is how it treat your customers? No answer. These guys are really on top of things. The manager/owner who hasn't been in a business very long, but been a mechanic his whole life, does a very good job when it comes to customer service. I just went to get an oil change and they did a thorough inspection on everything thing and told me what needed to be fixed on my car. The other places where I used to go never went into details on my car and didn't tell me much about what needed to be fixed. Great quality service and they're quick too. read more
