Dan, Mark and the people at this shop are phenomenal. They have hands down been the best automotive shop I have worked with and I have worked with a lot. I have had Blue Velvet my 1997 Buick LeSabre for 5 years. Honestly I have put in three times as much money into the upkeep of Blu than what I paid for him. Midas on Ina have taken the best care of Blu and of me that I have experienced to date . They are caring, hard working and interested in your car and you as a person. After getting the run around from the dealership (they wanted money just to diagnose a sound) I took my car into Midas, I've been getting my oil changed there for years and they have done some car repairs in the past that I was happy with. Ernie was very knowledgeable on the phone in regards to warranties etc and mike knew exactly what the problem was within 30 seconds when he took it for a test drive, immediately when I showed up. (Free diagnosis). He gave me an estimate of what the cost of repairs would be and I shopped around (called 4 other places). Midas had the lowest rate, could get me in the soonest and have all repairs done in the shortest time. The shop guys did a great job and my car is running like new! It feels great to deal with professionals who know their stuff and aren't trying to "take you"! I would definitely recommend Midas to anyone who needs anything from an oil change, to car repairs, alignment, brake pads. They know what they are doing! read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star. Went in with a coupon for an oil change and the price ended up being double in the end with all their added "fees". Then when my husband went to change the oil the next time, he spent 25 minutes trying to get the bolt off with no success. We already had a bad feeling about this place, so we took it to another place to have them do the oil change since we couldn't get the bolt off. The other place couldn't get the bolt off either, even with all their tools. They told us that whoever did the last oil change f***ed up really bad and obviously didn't know what they were doing because they put the bolt in poorly and didn't even oil it. So then we took it to our favorite mechanic and they couldn't get the bolt off either. Eventually they had to use a special tool to get it off and it cracked the oil pan, which cost us $523 to replace. Do not go to this Midas, these idiots don't know what they're doing and will mess up your car! ! read more

I went in for a quote on tires & brakes, and I was not exactly sure what else was needed on my car. The Manager Mike Thomas had my car placed on a lift to tell me exactly what was needed, other places had told me that I needed both sets of brakes and like everything else 100 other things I should do to my car. They confirmed exactly what was NEEDED and showed/ explained to me why my rear rotors needed to be replaced. The manager was honest and told me my front brakes were fine. I feel confident that they wont just up sale you, and are very honest with what you NEED and what can wait. The Asst Manager Ernie was very friendly and while I was waiting brought me out a water bottle. I relocated to Tucson from CA and I wont be going anywhere else, glad I found these guys! PS They really care about their customers, the bathroom is CLEAN! =) read more

Had a Living Social coupon for 2 oil changes. When I checked in for my appointment, I was informed that I needed their $69 oil for my 2016 Honda CRV and that they would credit me $20 for my LS coupon. The total estimate can to almost $70 for an oil change and tire rotation. I said "No thank you" and left. My local mechanic charges less than $30 for the same service. I requested a full refund from LS. Looks a lot like the experience of BW. below. read more

Too bad I HAVE to give any stars. I have been taking my Journey and my F150 there for oil changes for over three years doing the 12.99 which is now 14.99 special. At one point I think it was 19.99. But I digress. I have been going there because the service is fast, the price was cheap and there really were no issues. So then when my F150 needed it's $600 A/C repair, took it there, opened the credit card and got my air fixed. Well. Today I took my Journey in for its regular oil change. They said it would be about $45. Now, being that my husband works long and crazy hours, I take the cars for their oil changes. This time he came with me. He signed for the oil change, assuming the discount was applied at check out. When he told me while waiting I said I will talk with them to get the regular price. I went to pay and the manager JEREMY who must be the "new management" because it was always Mike before and we never had an issue. Well JEREMY told me that "under new management" the oil has to be the "vehicle specification" and not what the customer wants and the deal is for 5w30 and they needed to use 5w20 for my car. WELL JEREMY I have ALWAYS done CONVENTIONAL oil over synthetic REGARDLESS of where I've taken it. I explained to him that nobody said there was a change and if I wanted to pay that much for my oil change I'd have gone to the Jiffy Lube two streets down, not driven 20 minutes out of my way. Jeremy did not care. So we went to leave and I looked at the sign. There is NOTHING that says the deal is for 5w30. It doesn't specify anything about type of oil. Just says $14.99 oil change and tire rotation. So I tell my husband to turn around and I go back in to tell Jeremy this. He then tells me the sign says it's for conventional oil. NO JEREMY. THE SIGN DOESNT SAY THAT. He then just kept going on about how my husband signed the stupid little paper and he explained it to him. NO JEREMY YOU DID NOT. DONT TALK TO ME LIKE IM STUPID JEREMY I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE. I told him, you have our history right there, you would think you'd at least mention the change. Jeremy mumbled a half ass apology, I took down the hotline number and left a message. We will no longer go there. Jeremy could have even offered a simple $10 off and it would have changed things but JEREMY lost long time customers. Be sure to thank him!! read more

My husband went in to this location because our a/c was blowing out hot air in our Acura. They tested it and said that all we needed was a recharge. 15 min later while they were working on our car, one of the service men came in to the lobby telling my husband that while they were filling up the coolant and performing the recharge, the compressor in the car blew and for us to fix it now, it would be $800 instead of $160!! One of our neighbors came over to look at the car today and he said the compressor was fine because the air was still blowing strong and all we need is a recharge!!! I will NEVER go to Midas EVER again!! Even though they didn't complete the service, they STILL tried to charge us FULL price for the recharge even though they didn't fix it...my husband talked them out of that price, BUT they charged us $95 for the 15 min they took on our car!! We have gone to this location for oil changes and they were going to be our go to, not anymore, it's sad that it's very hard to trust anyone when it comes to your car...disappointed and angry!!! read more

I went here because of starting problems. They charged me for diagnostics and told me I needed to replace my battery, cables, and connectors. They charged me hundreds of dollars and they didn't even fix the problem. I went back in because I was still having to attempt starting anywhere from 4-12 times and it would just click. Then they tried to tell me something else was the problem. I was like, well if you didn't diagnose it right then that was a big waste of my money for parts and repairs I didn't even need. They said they would look for the part I need somewhere cheaper and they would call me back. Never got a call back, and when I went back in again they made excuses and gave me the run around. be zero stars but anyways here we go....... took my car to have my catalytic converter checked. dropped it off went home got a call $2500 whole system shot they wanted payment up front. gave them my visa and bang it went thru. a few days later got my car back seemed to run ok. i commute from tucson to phx for work on the way back oil lamp goes on. got to a mechanic i know in casa grande they are great. checked car turns out car is 3 quarts low on oil. so im thinking it was the people who changed my oil only 3 weeks before. i ask them to lift my car to check the work midas did. well turns out they only changed one catbank on my car (it has 3) and they were supposed to change out all the piping. well they didnt called them up and asked them what they did to my car said they changed all my cat banks and pipes i said well thats funny because i am at a mechanic right now with my car up in the air and it only has one changed. let the guy have a few choice words and hung up and called their corparate line. this gets better........ the next day i have my car towed from the mechanic in casa grande to the place i had do the oil change. while its on route i get a phone call from someone from midas i told him they screwed me royal and i am only going to deal with the corparate office and hung up. 10 minutes later i get a phone call again "dont hang up dont hang up this is midas" i say ok what do you have to say. well they told me they have a bunch of parts sitting at their shop they did not put in. i said no SHI*! let this guy have it and he said we will get it to our shop and fix the problem. they called a few days later and my wife picked up the car and was given a receipt around 2100 for the work (they never credited my card back the difference and i asked about it repeatedly). she said it didn't sound good. told her to stop driving it and called midas. they picked it up and brought it back to their shop. it gets better....... so the engine is shot due to the lack of oil and since they screwed up they would replace my engine (which was under warranty from a parts place up in phx) for 800 they said they usually charge 1200. well i am between a rock and a hard place now so i said ok get me the refund on my original work and i will do 800. they said ok dont worry we will fix this. i said ok just do it right. it gets even better.......... couple months go by i get a call and they were asking for 399 for a front motor mount. i can get a motor mount for 30-100 and its litteraly 4 bolts to put in so i said no way. didnt hear anything for a couple days then i call them. oh yeah car is ready and we need 800 cash. i said cash that is strange but ok my car is done. went picked it up started right up got the receipt for the 800 chatted with the guys and was told yeah i got the engine mount warratied. talked about the guy who did the original work on my car and they said yeah we fired that guy he did that type of thing alot maybe he was just lazy or something. i just wanted to get the hell out of there. took my car was running nice. oh its gets better from here........... so 2 days later go to start my car. no power. i open up hood try to have it jumped nothing. wiggled some wires and boom car started up figured i had a short no big deal will get it done by a neighbor at his shop i know what wires they were. happens again wiggle those wires and boom car starts. well i am about to take it to my neighbors shop to have him run down the short and it wont start at all when i wiggle the bank of wires that was the culprit. well i keep trying and i see a relay connection just drop from under the bank of wires. turns out the security line to the car was not plugged in all the way so it would arc every once in a while to start and not when i wouldn't wiggle it a bit. plugged that bad boy in and had no problems with that anymore. thought if thats the worst of it than i am good. oh it gets so much better........... so i get home from work and i see smoke coming from under my hood and i am like WTF. so i let it cool down overnight and put down a piece of board to see where my engine is leaking oil. determine it is a leak call them up and say hey im coming in you guys need to look at this thing and figure out if it was something you did or a new problem and i want to know that day since all the BS i have been thru with you guys. it was a new person i was talking too. so dropped it off and he said he would try to have it looked at that day. i stopped by again when i saw they had done something to my car and the guy said they would need more time and they were busy could i leave it for monday. ok i say and then the poo hits the fan......... so i call them up and they tell me oil pan leak and rear main seal leak are the issues and i need to call the parts people who sold me the engine. i called them up and told them what was up. they said it is up to the installer to change out any seals and gaskets and they send an install checklist w read more

We took our car into Midas on Ina because someone wanted to take it to their mechanic (Midas) to make sure the car was up to par. We had just taken our car to our mechanic 2 weeks prior and replaced a hose on it and made sure everything else on our car was running smoothly before putting it up for sale. We spent OVER $500 and got everything to where it needed to be. (we have the documents proving it!) When we went to her mechanic today (Midas on Ina) she said it was supposed to be a quick 30 min thing. AFTER 2 hours the mechanic SHE KNOWS PERSONALLY came in telling us that we had to replace our radiator, time belt when it reaches 100k miles (our car is at 85k miles...) and several other things and that we need to fix. The total cost was almost $2000! We laughed and said that's not even possible because we just went to our mechanic 2 weeks ago when we first put the vehicle online. We told them we wanted to see the problem and they took us out to look at our car. They said we had a leak. We informed them that we keep our car in the garage and have NO spots and they said, "oh, it wouldn't show up on the ground..." We have the documents and have shown them everything from the beginning. We went straight back to our mechanic (right next door) and had them check EVERYTHING that was listed by Midas and they said that they were trying to take advantage of us. They told us that the radiator was in GREAT shape and that we needed a new radiator cap. We bought it and put it on and the buyer texted us saying she was no longer interested. So not only were they trying to scare us into buying parts for our car that wasn't needed, but they also cost us a sale ($6900). We have reported them to the BBB. They have 20 other complaints against them currently and have only responded to 10! They do not care about their customers they just want to take advantage of you!! BEWARE!!! read more
