We visited tonight for the first time. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was incredibly helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. There are many options to choose from and the staff was patient and explained all dishes to us. We received top notch service and the food was absolutely delicious! I was very disappointed with this restaurant because I loved bbq and I have heard good things. A small group of us went on a Tuesday evening around 6:30 and the staff seemed a bit discombobulated. They didn't seem to know the menu well and couldn't answer our questions or stay consistent with what was included (some of us got free coleslaw and some of us didn't). My food was just ok. The pulled pork was chewy and not tender. I did not enjoy the bbq sauce and I thought it was a little overpriced. My kids enjoyed their food though. The restaurant is attractive and has a nice warm ambience and there was plenty of parking. I want to point out a small item that could easily be improved and that was the POS system. They turn it for the customer to tip and sign but the screen was gross- smears of food and bits of food were stuck to it and it gave me a grimy feeling. Maybe wipe that down every few customers. Also, there is a strong smell of smoke that is not a bad smell but it wears on you and your sinuses so maybe a filtration system might help? read more

We placed an order through Uber eats with Mighty Quinn's. Everything was made and delivered very quickly and in under 30 minutes. We ordered the meat sampler, the brisket sandwich, fries, Mac and cheese, corn fritters, and the brisket empanada. Everything we had was incredibly delicious! I can't name something that was bad. It came with lots of extra sauce which was nice. Only downside was that the bun of the brisket sandwich was incredibly frail and it was more like eating brisket with your hands as opposed to eating a brisket sandwich. Would come back! read more

Since we're no longer able to get the barbecue we used to get constantly in St Pete, we were looking for a new spot. Didn't immediately find anything in St Pete that jumped out at us, especially when looking for brisket which we were, so we started looking over in Tampa. The better half works in Ybor so it's easy for him to stop somewhere between there and St Pete on his drive home everyday. We happened upon Mighty Quinn's BBQ, and remembered seeing one of The originators of this restaurant on BBQ Brawl on the Food Network. Since he was our favorite contestant it just made sense to try a restaurant he had started even if that is a franchise. It lived up to the hype! I just wish I had pictures to share, however we ate everything so quickly I didn't even think about taking any! We both had orders of sliced brisket but we also had the corn fritters and coleslaw which we shared. I can't say enough about how delicious the corn fritters were. The coleslaw was just okay. Nothing exceptional but it was good. Next time we go, and we will be going back, I will be sure to take some pictures and update my review if we try anything new! I most definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for brisket and are in the Westshore area of Tampa! P S. Mighty Quinn is acceptable compared to many place. Our visit is very enjoyable because the owner explained everything to us and give us the taste try. You can select the brisket in moist or lean. You even can cut a small piece of that meat batch to see if you like the way of moisture before you order. We got two meat combo with ribs and brisket. The brisket is really good. The side is coleslaw. It also comes with pickles cucumbers. We also got the the brontosaurus rib. It is by pound. We got one rib. The rib is delicious. Meat is tender. Fall off the bone. I can honestly say this is the best BBQ I've had in Florida! My boyfriend found this place down the street from where our hotel was located. I was out here in Tampa for a business trip and we wanted something very delicious for the drive back home. Although parking was very tedious, we were glad to score a spot and walked right in. We were welcomed with the smokey smell and greeted with a huge "Welcome!" They didn't have the pulled pork ready since it was early, so we ordered brisket and burnt ends rice bowl, both with mac n cheese + creamy coleslaw. Paired it with two fountain drinks, Coke. The brisket was freshly sliced in front of us and the burnt ends came from a BBQ pot that was steaming! The food all together was something like no other. Each table (if you dine in) has their special BBQ house sauce which you can literally drench your meat in. The restaurant is also very clean and super hispter. The only thing I would complain about is that it does get very, very smokey in there. I wish they could have opened all the doors or have better ventilation. I think my eyes were starting to dry out towards the end of our meal. Still go back though, food is banging. Definitely worth the heavy price. read more

Mighty Quinn's is a really solid BBQ restaurant. Service is great with helpful and friendly employees. The ambiance is nice and simple, which is perfect for a BBQ restaurant. I mean, the focus is on the meat haha. And that is something they do well. The ribs were nice and tender without being too soft. Nice chew and bite to the ribs. The brisket was also done well, with a good bark and a good balance of fat and lean meat. I only got to try the mashed sweet potatoes and the Mac n Cheese. Both were solid sides. I definitely need to try some of the other sides next time. While not as busy as when it first opened, I do wish there was more parking. When it gets busy, parking can be hard to come by. But otherwise, a solid place to get BBQ :) read more

I'm torn between rating Mighty Quinn's Barbecue 3 or 4 stars. After three visits I have had some amazing and some not so amazing items from the menu. I wouldn't mind the higher prices if the food was flawless, but there are a few duds on the menu. I made the mistake of ordering the crispy chicken sandwich on my first visit. The chicken was delicious, but unfortunately it goes from crispy to soggy as soon as you top it with coleslaw. My flavorless bun was falling apart immediately. Due to the bun alone; I cannot recommend any of the sandwiches. Hopefully the owners find a new bread supplier, although that may not be an option since this is a chain. I am also not a fan of the sausage and thought it was a bit bland and dry. The spicy smoked/flash fried chicken wings with chili lime sauce are one of my favorite dishes on the menu. The ribs and brisket are also excellent. I enjoyed both types of coleslaw, although I think the mayonnaise based coleslaw was slightly superior and the broccoli salad with bacon, toasted almonds, and dried cranberries is highly addictive. One of the best deals on the menu are the kid's meals. For $7 kids get their choice of chicken tenders or a pulled pork sandwich with side of fries or macaroni and cheese. The portions are huge and the quality of the kid's meals are great. Mighty Quinn's isn't my favorite barbecue spot in Tampa, but the location is convenient and the wings are awesome so I will be back. read more

After driving past Mighty Quinn's BBQ for weeks while they were under construction, I kept asking myself, "what does Brooklyn have to do with barbecue?". Intrigued, we made our way through the doors in what seems to be their first week or so being open. The store was overpopulated with employees, all very friendly, and all still very much with their training wheels on. The decor of the restaurant is very simple with an open floor plan has plenty of picnic style tables and benches. The most frustrating part was getting into the restaurant. The way that the parking lot is designed, most of the parking is on one side of the building. Unfortunately, the only entrance on that side of the building is for employees only and the diners have a long walk around to the front door. This is going to be extremely inconvenient if you're hungry during a Florida rain storm. Enough about that, let's talk about the food. My wife ordered the pulled pork. We were barely into the dinner time rush, and it was proclaimed loudly that she received the last order of the night and they were out. Maybe the meat is better when their supplies are more plentiful, but half of the order was fat. A little bit of fat is OK, but this was over the top. I ordered the three meat combo. The brisket is a three dollar up charge, but probably worth it. Again, very fatty as well as a bit salty. The 1/4 chicken was kind of dry and the skin had an out of place flavor that I couldn't quite place. Maybe Cinnamon? To moisten the meat, the only flavor of BBQ sauce that Mighty Quinn's offers is their proprietary Brooklyn style BBQ. It was very runny and sweet, yet decidedly tasty. It is completely different than the traditional KC, Carolina and Texas styled BBQ sauces. The sides are served à la cart, and I chose a side of macaroni and cheese. Secretly, this is how I judge all barbecue restaurants. Too bland, and I am quick to dismiss them. Fortunately, the macaroni was probably the best thing on the plate. Quite cheesy and very delicious, I'd definitely go back for more, just for that alone. Overall, Mighty Quinn's BBQ was decent, but it was a rather pricey meal for a restaurant that has a drive through and counter service. Our check came out to $47, and that was just for two people that were only drinking water. With as many options for BBQ in town, my return visits will probably be a little more infrequent as a result. read more

Food is good. Sauces are good. The room is sometimes filled with smoke to the point it's in your clothes. Not very often but it does happen where you don't want to sit inside. Dessert is DELICIOUS!! 3 stars given because I don't like way the meal options are sorted. I don't eat a lot of meat, so I didn't want 2 meats on 1 plate. I wanted their chipotle chicken, but it only comes on a sandwich. The staff said I couldn't order the chipotle meat without ordering the sandwich. So for me, ordering light, was very difficult. Then, the name of restaurant came out and I was thinking, yeah, another barbeque place is needed All of the staff is nice and very knowledgeable. I got the Mac and Cheese balls, brisket sandwich and a black cherry soda. I like the Mac and Cheese balls because it's not fried hard and tomato aioli sauce goes good with it. Get ready Tampa Bay, Mighty Quinn's in the neighborhood!!!! The setting is industrial yet warm..great ambiance! The staff and cooks are excellent! The food is beyond words. Each and every meat is awesome! Chicken is moist and tender and melts in your mouth. The ribs have falls off the bones meat. The pulled pork....YUM. The burnt ends are awesome as with every meat I mentioned!!!!!!!! The wings are good and a little spicy! Sides.....Mac and cheese is perfection!! Not dry macaroni beneath a hard cheese top but creamy and cheesy throughout. The baked beans, coleslaw and grilled brussel sprouts are all great. We had the Mac and Cheese fritters with the aioli dipping sauce..just WOW! For dessert the Cinnamon Bun Bread Pudding is delicious! I pass by Mighty Quinn's almost daily but it always looks so dark I didn't think it was opened; but it is and it's good. Very clean inside and the staff was very nice, talking to me while I waited for my food. There is a drive thru, but since I'd never been I choose to go inside and then to just get it to go. Ordered the chicken sandwich special which comes with one side or a drink. They also offered a chicken bowl. A bowl? In a barbecue joint? I'll stick with the sandwich and a side of mac & cheese. But all the food looked delicious and found myself asking for an additional side of the bread pudding. The chicken sandwich comes with slaw and cucumber "pickles" and you pick the sauce you want, from their hot mustard (spicy), regular BBQ sauce and the tangy sweet chipotle sauce, which I choose. The sandwich was good but bread absorbed a lot of the sauce and the slaw, which was a vinegar slaw, so the bun kept tearing. The mac & cheese had a peppery flavor, which was unexpected. The bread pudding though!! It was divine! I'll go back for the bread pudding alone. And the ribs...I saw them bring out a tray of ribs and they looked, well, good enough to eat. read more

This is an attractive restaurant that serves up BBQ. One cool feature about this particular restaurant is that they have a drive thru. So you can take home BBQ without getting out of your car! I ordered a jasmine rice bowl with brisket. For the two sides, I ordered the sweet potatoes and the broccoli salad. I was offered pickles and coleslaw, and when I asked for both, I was offered creamy (mayo-based) or vinegar based slaw (I opted for the vinegar-based slaw). I liked having so many options. The serving size was good, but the price was high for a fast casual kind of place. I paid over $16 for my bowl, and I ate it all without leftovers. Usually if I can finish a meal from a drive thru, I expect to pay a bit less than $16 unless the food is amazing. The food itself was okay. The brisket was well-seasoned, and I thought it was nicely tender. The rest of the bowl was at or below expectations. I didn't receive any pickles. The sweet potatoes were fine. The broccoli salad was bland. The coleslaw was exceedingly bland. And there was way too much rice compared to the rest of the food. Eaten together, everything was too sweet for my taste. I'm not sure that this place is worth the longer drive when 4 Rivers is so much closer. read more

I'm not sure if this a chain or privately owned but it is GOOD BBQ!! I had the smoked turkey sandwich. It was flavorful and not dried out like some other bbq places. My Cole slaw side was the creamy version and delicious and their Mac & cheese is the best restaurant bbq Mac & cheese I've ever had.. and I've been to almost every bbq place in the Tampa Bay Area. My 1 star ding is for the cornbread which was cold and no butter. It tastes to cake like to me and less corn bready.. if that makes sense. Despite the ding we will definitely be back! read more

I used Mighty Quinn's BBQ to cater my dad's surprise 60th birthday party for 45 people, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! At the end of the night, I asked my dad what his favorite part was, and without hesitation, he said, "the barbecue." It was that good! A huge shoutout to JP and Victor, who were beyond amazing to work with--some of the best service I've ever had. They were incredibly communicative, even on a texting basis with me, which made planning so much easier. We did an online order for the brisket and barbecue chicken and paid over $20 with no sides. When we picked it up, it was the smallest portions I've ever seen of meat and they gave us three little tiny slices of onion and three pickles . I was very disappointed with the portions and it was very cold. When I called them about the portions, they said that is the normal size. I really wanted to enjoy this new BBQ place and unfortunately I couldn't. I was expecting a crispy chicken sandwich, but the meat was overwhelmed by the slaw and it was to soggy for me. My chicken breast was more like a cutlet. The ribs were a bit dry and needed the table sauce to moisten them up some. I will give the staff a shout out because they were all awesome, from the line staff, the cashier and the back of the house. I love a good barbecue so I wish I could love this place.
