The Looks: The cosmetics of the food joint was impeccable. You could tell that they took time in making it look like it's bigger brother Miguel in the sense of its beautiful design. It is very elegant & the bathrooms all the way to the salsa bar was spotless. Thumbs all the way up! The Food: a very unique item was the garbage burrito (Funny Name). I'll tell you one thing... It sure didn't taste like it! The burrito was very fulfilling, however I would prefer less beans and more steak. I also purchased the taco salad. It was a perfect size definitely pleased the taste buds in my mouth. The chips around it was a nice touch as well, a crunch here and there is always welcomed. I visited this location today with my family and I was hoping that it would hit the spot, unfortunately it just was not up to my family's standards. I have not tried there whole menu as this is my first ever visit to a miguel's jr restaurant. Of the things I did try nothing was terrible or even bad, it just seemed a little below average, I have had Mexican food from places that look much worse on the outside but have much more authentic and flavorful food. Everything that I ordered I could make better at home with more flavor, and the tortillas were a little thick in my opinion. My first bites of the casidia and burrito were mostly tortilla, I will probably be back to give them a second chance but I think a little more seasoning on the food will go a long way. read more

I'm not too sure what happen to this location because before the burritos were decent enough to get for a quick lunch. I have been coming here since they first opened and the quality has been going downhill for a while now... However, today? I ordered 3 burritos for my coworkers and myself but they were all super soggy with a ton of rips in the tortilla. It was pretty much impossible to hold and eat because of how poorly it was constructed and how it just fell apart right away. I bought it for my coworkers and we all just had to throw them away... because it was got very unappetizing because the paper ripped and would get stuck to the burrito. Two words: bean burrito (ok there's cheese too so techically that's more than two words). I've never tried anyhing else here but if it is anything like the bean and cheese burrito, I'm going to bet it's delicious. The beans are perfectly seasoned and for $1.99 you get a burrito that's at least a pound. I live in an area that is packed with Mexican food places but sadly we have no Miguels in site. I'm visiting from AZ and tried Miguel's Jr last night. The restaurant was nice and clean and the employees were very friendly. I ordered the taquitos and chips and they were pretty good, nothing to write home about but I was hungry and they got the job done. I liked that they (taquitos) were not greasy and had a good amount of chicken. The salsa bar was a bit "plain Jane" for me but not bad. The green salsa is was suuuuuper watery but it had good flavor, the red one was a bit more spicy. The bathrooms were very clean well kept. I think the cost is a bit much for what you get But hey we're in California so that's probably why. read more

Miguel's is something that I first got to experience upon moving to Menifee. They just didn't have it near where I lived in SoCal before, and generally, I liked it when I first tried it. I've been to a few Miguel's locations now, and overall, this one is on par with what you get at the other locations. Service is friendly, and relatively quick (compared to other Miguel's, and other similar restaurants), and the prices aren't outrageous. Could they stand to knock about $1 off? Sure. That'd make it a great deal, and I think they'd end up with MUCH more business. But, if they're making it work, why not? As for the food, pro tip: you can get a smaller version of their bean & cheese burrito! Is it much less expensive? Nope. You'll save a bit of money. But, it's MUCH easier to eat when you're driving, and overall saves you a bit of cash if you're not super hungry. Also, their order of chips & guac is like, huge. Seriously. That's one area where they're giving you what you pay for, that's for sure. We had chips between the two of us for days. Also, their guac is mediocre. Mostly just avocados (could use a bit more flair; don't read flair as tomatoes, though...that's just space filler in guac), and the flavor is OK. But, it pairs well with the rest of their food, especially in combination with their hot sauce. So, take that for what it's worth. Long and short of it - go; you'll enjoy it! read more

I've always had a great experience eating here but this last time was awful. My husband's chicken enchiladas had such hard tortillas you could barely cut them with a knife. Awhile ago I would have given this place 5 stars. I love their food but they have gotten so cheap with portions. I get my daughter the chili verde plate. I always ask for meat on the side. They take this to mean give me almost no meat. Today was the last straw and the last time I will go there.
