The food is pretty good except that every single time that I've gone to this place.... There has been a hair in my food. The tacos and the beans. I'm pretty easy to please as a customer. A simple acknowledgement upon arrival and closing thank you is all I expect, in fact, I want no more, no chit chat, no kissing ass, just say "Hello and Thank you". Instead, whe got a "you ready?" and a "your number is 12" How about, "Hello, what can I get you?" "Here's your receipt,,, number is 12, Thank you" On the receipt, Server says Deborah on it. Now the order... we, a party of two, ordered a combo plate each. Our number was called pretty quickly, I walked up and see a tray with one plate on it,,, I waited a bit for someone to come by, someone sees me and comes up and asks "Yeah?" with a puzzled look in her face... I told her that I heard number 12 being called... she goes 'Yeah!, Here!" I tell her that order for number 12 should be two plates, two meals... some dude behind me, like 5 numbers back goes "Where's my burrito! I'm just waiting for a burrito! some people after me got their meals" That was a testament to what I was facing... anyway, gal walks away and returns with the additional plate... "here!"... WOW Now about the food. It tasted aight... Rice and beans and the tortillas (wrong tortillas BTW) straight out of a Taco Bell 2am drive thru (No hate for TB, just trying to be funny), beans watered down, portion in my opinion a bit low,,, specially for the price of a fast food, walk-up to the counter place... "There is a Reason" My wife said to me, referring to the the super long line in the drive thru at IN AND OUT BURGER, (which by the way provides quality food and excellent customer service), and the lack of a line at Miguel's Jr on a busy Friday night. We have been coming here since this location opened and the food is good, but the girls taking the orders in the drive thru are rude and snooty about 70% of the time, they say the right things but there just so annoyed. El Potato Burrito was a giant piece of slimy slushy mess. The tortilla was floppy you couldn't pick it up and there was NO WAY to hold it. I mean it was limp. I question the Authentic part too. I couldn't figure out if I should go to In-N-Out or here, but I figured that I should try something kinda different. So, after my virgin experience, I give 'em 2 Stars for 2 Things: 1. Had a shredded taco/shredded beef enchilada combo, and boy, was I still hungry. For about the same price, I've had a 3-fish taco plate at Rubios, and it comes with rice, beans and chips, and I'm usually full. For about a buck more, I get a combo at Baja Fresh, and it's tasty and filling. I'm not an expert and I'll eat Del Taco and Taco Bell once in a while. Miguel's is tastier, but you still leave hungry. 2. Poor customer service. I walked in to a restaurant that wasn't busy inside, but the drive through was crazy. The order takers were talking, and the one at the drive-thru saw me, but didn't tell the other order taker whose back was to me that I was there, so it took me about 4 minutes before I was acknowledged. The kicker was, they were gossiping, which made it even worse as I was hearing stuff that should never reach customers' ears - ever. When one of them finally turned around, she did say, "Sorry!" Perhaps it was a lapse and the CS is usually very good and quick. Overall, I expected Rubio in food and customer service, and all I got was Taco Bell minus the CS. Poor first impression, but I'll likely give it another chance and try something else before I completely give up. read more

This is the stop if your looking for some OK Mexican food. I've been to a couple of them, it's a little odd inside. White cooks, white counter help, white front area help. And it's about as white Mexican food you can get in the area, and that's counting Del Taco, Taco Bell the two big boys that made Mexican fast food for us white folk. ( I almost wanna sing the pledge of allegiance ) Oh Lord Bless You, I've brought us Miguel's Jr. Normal Tacos, Beef, Chicken, Asada. (hard or soft) standard burritos, bean, cheese, rice. Wet or Dry. Tamales, Enchilada, Chile Verde and Chile Relleno, and last but not least Taquitos and rice and bean. Almost forgot Quesadilla. I think I did the whole damn menu. But anyways it's catering to the large Caucasian group, (which is white) And they do a great job at it, fast easy menu in a clean environment. The food basically the Tacos, Nachos, Taquitos and Tamales I all I've had. The food, no over the top taste to anything, it's just normal fast food that takes the extra step. I eat here once a week. I would still like know way the shred the hell out of the chicken meat and then mince it up. It's odd but it taste OK. The Salsa bar, it's a zoo. Fantastic experience! We've eaten at a couple other Miguel's Jr's in the past and were very disappointed so I went in with a lot of doubts, apprehension and low expectations. However they knocked my socks off! The service was outstanding. The cashier was very friendly, patient and helpful. We had a variety of foods due to 4 people ordering and everything was delicious. The nachos were enough for several people to share, they would be a filling meal for one person. The shredded beef was delicious and we were surprised with the amount of it put on the nachos. Loved the crispy chips and the cheese sauce was the perfect blend of melted creaminess and cheesiness. The guacamole was tasty (it's very smooth so if you expect chunks they wont be there! But give it a try it is really good!). They were great with the chips as well as as a dip for the taquitos. The taquitos only come in the chicken flavor. They were perfectly cooked and had a nice flavor as well as a bit of crunch. The rice and beans were very good together, nice homemade flavors and not overly spicy. The burritos we ordered were fairly large very filling according to the guys in our group. Both reported perfect ratio of fillings and seasoning and stated the flavors were "spot on". For a fast food Mexican resturant the food seems surprisingly homemade. Service was fast. Staff was friendly. Prices were pretty reasonable. The counter area, cooking area (that I could see) and dining area was clean and well stocked. One thing I learned tonight was not all stores in a chain are the same! It's kind of a rip off when you compare their $6 burrito to Chipotle's burrito in size and quality. I was turned off by their homemade guac which looked more like it was whipped and blended with cream to make it go much farther. Their chips were good but their quesadilla was barely ok as the cheese so salty it was really hard to eat. Their salsa bar was not even really salsa just hot sauces, poor in comparison to el polo loco. Would not come back again, too pricey for what you get. read more

I am lame and boring and like salads...this one was good, chicken had good flavor and lettuce along with the rest of the stuff on there was fresh. This is a 5 Star restaurant for giving its customers what they expect and more. This is a fast food place. This isn't your Mexican Food place where you'll sit down and get a basket of chips and margarita. You can't really compare this place to Taco Bell because it's really in a league of its own. They have nice, bright, clean seating areas. They have a tasty salsa bar. They have great prices! My 22 year old son orders the bean and rice burrito and it's less than $5 with a drink! I'm vegan so it's much harder for me to find stuff here, they use lard in the beans and I don't eat lard. I find myself ordering the tostada with potatoes, rice, lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole. It's pretty tasty. My hubby and other kids order the chicken burrito and always say it's prettyawesome. You can feed a family of 5 for about $20 to $25 depending on if you order drinks and chips and salsa. This is a no frills quick Mexican Food joint. The food is good, prices are unbeatable and service is always consistently good. Highly recommend especially when you need to feed a big family on the go with a budget! read more

Terrible. I am a fairly gracious person but I've taken a chance on this place TWICE now and been very disappointed both times. The first time we came here when it opened up a few months ago, I ordered a carne asada burrito. There's no other way to put it other than it tasted really bad. Although I am a person that comes from a background of authentic Mexican food, I am very tolerant and accepting of Americanized versions of Mexican food - Taco Bell/Del Taco, etc. which could almost not even be considered Mexican food. As long as the food tastes good, I am pretty forgiving. The food at this place just plain tastes BAD. It does not even seem like "wannabe" Mexican food. The carne asada burrito I ordered had some really strange, pungent seasonings. Tasted almost like Indian food, curry or something like that. Indian food is fine when you're in the mood for it but really disgusting when you're expecting to taste Mexican food. I am always on the lookout for a good bean and cheese burrito. I love the simplistic, "comfort food" qualities of a bean and cheese burrito and sometimes that's all I am in the mood for. I wanted to sample the b&c burrito here for future reference, so I also ordered one of those. It was pretty good, and if I recall it was a pretty decent price at $1.99. I threw away the carne asada burrito and just ate the b&c. Anyway, moving along to my second visit tonight. We were in the area after shopping at Target and I decided to go for another of their bean and cheese burritos. I thought this might not be enough for dinner so even though I didn't like their other food, I also ordered a carne asada quesadilla. I figured, how could anyone get a quesadilla wrong, so I went with it. At $5.99, I expected a pretty impressive quesadilla. What I got was GARBAGE. I got four crappy looking triangles halfway filling up a cheap plastic container they put it in. That is all I got. I expected maybe a small pile of fresh lettuce, pico de gallo... maybe some guacamole and sour cream. None of that. Just the junky looking smallish quesadilla sliding around in it's see-through container. It looked like something you would buy for 3 bucks out of a refrigerated display in a hospital cafeteria and then heat up in the cafeteria microwave. The carne asada in the quesadilla did not help matters, it was chewy and not very flavorful. Their red sauce was pretty decent, not as good as a typical taco shop. Their green sauce has that same pungent curry taste to it. Really gross. I don't think there is any way for this restaurant to improve as their whole philosophy on how Mexican food should taste in the first place is extremely off. I don't say this just to be mean but I don't know how these people are still in business. Bottomline, If you like even marginally decent Mexican food, do not come here, their food is downright repugnant.. You will waste your money, yes, but worse, you will have wasted an opportunity for a good meal. read more

The service has really gone downhill at this one. It's been our go-to once a week since they opened. I don't know what has happened the past few months (even before covid) but we have to check our order every time now before we drive away because if we don't, something will be missing every time. Twice we have had a mulito missing, once it was the salsa we had asked for. This last time the girl at the speaker did not put my mulito in so I had to drive around to the entrance and place my order. Instead of putting a rush on it, I had to wait 10 minutes outside for it. After already being in the drive thru for 15 minutes! I'd like to think that improvements will be made but I've already read several reviews from the past month where the owner has replied that improvements will be made. Obviously not. This location needs a stronger management team that actually listens and pays attention to orders. read more

I'll make this quick: We've been here about six or seven times, and I've never had a harrowing issue. Prices are average, customer service is great, and food is good. We are regulars at the Miguel's Jrs in Corona. When we moved down here, I was so excited that there was a Miguel's in Menifee, not too far from us. We've been coming to this one for two years and all has been well up until the last couple of months. It seems something was always a little off with our order, like cold chili relleno or portions were a lot smaller, but bigger on price. Last night was the final straw. Well guess Incan see why they have such fee stars. Ordered the catering taco bar. Which I order every month form the location in Irvine. With NO issues. Lauren answered the phone. Didn't know what I was talking about had to ask several questions of other workers. I ordered the large one. Then asked for a catering side of chips and quac and a 32 oz rice. Order took longer than it should to be ready. Then I get home only to find the rice and chips and quac missing. I called and then drove 20 minutes back and 20 minutes the other way so Easter 40 minutes and more gas die to their fault. When I arrived for the second time I called and said I'm here for the missing laser of my order and she for what name. ??? How many orders did they forget stuff for that night. Then I said I didn't ask the first time but can I also get some onions and cilantro. She rudely said I didn't hear you ask for that the first time. Then she comes out and gives me the bag. I ask is all of it there the chips quac and rice. And with a nasty look and tone she says you for the rice the first time. Ok really. My son and boyfriend were there and there was NO rice. Just go in and ask the worker if he packed a 32 oz rice in the last 20 minutes. She then rolled eyes and went in. When she came back she just flung it at me. No here you go. No sorry no anything. I bought the Miguel's Jr. original burrito in a combination plate with rice and beans. My burrito was filled with a marinated chile verde pork center. My order was completed with a drink I haven't had since childhood, Orange Bang. Here's the low-down... One bite of this burrito and i knew right away, it's a winner! From end-to-end every bite of this marinated chile verde pork burrito was delicious! The burrito was soft and moist. The meat filling was soft and tender with every bite. I like how every ingredient was nicely spread throughout the burrito so I don't get a bite of rice on one end and only onions on the other end (Chipotle always annoyingly does this). If you've read my prior reviews at Mexican restaurants usually I'm sold on the food especially when the beans are good. I've gotta say, I love the beans here! The consistency of the beans were great. The refried beans were very flavorful and mashed perfectly. I loved that there weren't whole beans floating around, but rather mashed into a nice pasty consistency. The meal was washed down with one of my favorite childhood drinks, Orange Bang. I debated whether to have the horchata, but Orange Bang is rare to come-by. It was a much welcomed treat. Bottom-line... This meal was fantastic and definitely deserves a return visit the next time I'm in the area. It's a very good value for the price as well :-) Food = excellent! I had grown up with eating Miguel's everyday. My family enjoyed Eva at the old Fontana location which was in San Bernardino Ave and Citrus Ave on the corner. The employees are super friendly and the restaurant is always clean. They have never messed up an order and I've been going there since they opened. This old lady created a Yelp account just for this review so it ought to mean something to someone. This review was nearly a 3 star review due to a previous recent bad experience at this Miguel's. I had gone through the drive thru earlier in the day to pick up burritos for my children. My son is quite the picky eater much to my avail and it's often difficult to find something that he enjoys eating. Luckily for us, Miguel's was close by his baseball practice and it just so happens that he LOVES your garbage(not literal) burritos. I was in such a rush that I raced off as soon as I received the order and wasn't able to double check that it was correct like I normally do, which proved to be a grave mistake. What do you know, the order wasn't how he specifically requested and a tantrum was thrown. I turned back around to head to Miguel's, ready to give someone an earful but I was met with a very nice young lady I believe named Amy(?) that was very apologetic about the mistake and took great care in making sure that my order was remade at no extra cost.
