We went on a weekday with a party of 8 and had a 6:15 PM reservation. The restaurant seemed short-staffed when we arrived, although it wasn't very busy. Service improved later as more staff came on shift. The beef was decent, and we chose the mid-tier menu. For the price--over $100 per person including tax and tip--the selection felt somewhat limited. I also wasn't a fan of sharing one large hot pot. I prefer individual pots, which I've had at same chain in California. The decor and service were both decent, but nothing stood out. We were split into two tables of four even though I noticed a private room that remained unused during our visit. Overall, the experience was okay, but I don't think it was worth the price.

Came here to check out their seasonal menu promotion it's about $32 per person with a limited menu. It has all the essentials you need for hotpot plus you get a free plate of Wagyu each. Most of the dishes are self service - fish paste, Fishballs, vegetables, fruits, meatballs, etc. The protein you need to order on the tablet. There's also a lot of side dishes to order from the kitchen: dumplings, sliders, French fries, etc. The French fries were really delicious. I like how the meat slices are sliced so thin! But you definitely need to order more. Each plate is like 4-6 thinly sliced meat. The food overall was quite good. I highly recommend the sukiyaki broth, our group all enjoyed it. The golden broth on the other hand was quite mediocre. There's also free drinks and you get ice cream at the end. I do think the service is a bit slow and they don't clear empty plates often. But there was really only one server that day and she was working hard. Overall: pretty decent value for the price!

Saw this new wagyu hot pot place open in flushing with pretty good reviews and had to come try. It's located in the center of flushing commons area and pretty close to the big parking lot. We came on a Saturday at opening time and they were open but some things were not ready yet. The service was fast and efficient, just like how we like it, and the restaurant is nice and spacious, lots of table and can accomondate lots of people. This restaurant is very close to the style of restaurants in China, lots of free stuff that comes with the hot pot buffet package like free fruits, drinks, snacks, side dishes etc. which was really nice, really enjoyed their free jasmine milk tea. The menu was slightly confusing but nothing you can't navigate, the initial course of the wagyu meat was very very good, and the rest of the meat were very good as well, all thinly cut and fresh. We got the gold package and the seafood platter was impressive too. My husband doesn't eat seafood and I wanted to try their seafood so we both got the gold package but couldn't finish most. The side dishes like wagyu sushi and bone marrow were really delicious as well. Some issues I had was that it took forever and ever for the food to come out when it's ordered from the kitchen, when there isn't that many filled tables, and when you have a 90 min time limit to dine, I would expect things to come out quickly. Also, we would order stuff from the menu and some of them would just never come... until the waiter tells us that we can grab them ourselves from the side dish section, then why have it on the menu at all to be ordered...? These new restaurants are fun and this one was good enough I probably would come back, but some of these small details make me prefer the older/more traditional restaurants in flushing.

We came here as a party of 8 people on a holiday around 7ish. We had the first room on the right hand side when you enter. This was our first time so we chose the gold option. For the special one per person dish, we tried the bone marrow, steak and tartare. These were excellent choices. Presentation was good, we were excited when the seafood came out! Unfortunately service was really lacking. For our first round, my table finished the unlimited plates of meat really fast and then we couldn't find our waiter to put in another order. We were so hungry so when the waiter finally came, we ordered extra in case we couldn't find him again. I'm not sure if it was because our room was secluded but that was a major problem for us. We poked our head out many times but there was no one. There wasn't even a hostess at the front. I felt ok that I saw udon and curry rice on the menu, I was confident my toddler would be full from this buffet but unfortunately they had neither available. That was a major disappointment. The milk tea machine was also empty or out of service. When our waiter returned to tell us last call, we ordered our food and also asked for extra broth because the broth was super low. The meats came but he never returned with the broth. After a long time I had to go out to the middle of the restaurant to flag down a waitress to ask for broth. Right after our broth was filled, our waiter came back and said we were past the time limit and would be charged extra %. We didn't know about that charge but also we couldn't finish the food with an almost empty pot. Their Shabu shabu pots are quite small compared to other places. You can't fill it up much. We told the waiter and he did not charge us for the extra time. It would be ridiculous if we were charged. He also made some comment about us ordering ice cream since we were already over our time limit but of course we wanted the ice cream as it was not our fault. You would think after he calls for last call, we can sit there and enjoy the room and have our quality friend time without having to worry about being charged since we aren't ordering anymore food anyways. Also I couldn't find the waiter to pay the bill. Walked around and waited near our door for a while. I then went to the women's bathroom which had no toilet paper in either stall. I had to stand in front of the bathroom and wait there until I could flag down another waitress for help. It took a while but when I came out, our waiter was standing by the room waiting for me to pay. My friends told me he was annoyed that I wasn't there to pay when he finally showed up. Also there's no oyster sauce. Bring your own. Honestly we collectively felt with the time constraints and lack of service, none of us will be returning. It was not a good experience. We were so excited at first. What a disappointment.

We were in Downtown Flushing and wanted to try a different type of hot pot meatballs.... Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House. Ambience - they spent some $ on the decor. The dining room is obviously part of the experience. Food - although it is AYCE, you have to select from the Basic, Silver, Gold or Diamond set, which determines what you get to select from. We ordered the Gold, which gave us a seafood platter per person and bigger selection of Wagyu. You order the broth and the meats and they bring it out to you. Although the meat is obviously going to be tender, the only downside is that all the meat is brought out at once and stacked onto plates into a single column with no description of which cut you are eating. Would have been nicer to see all of the different wagyu cuts at once and get a description. Also on offer are some cooked specialty foods like bone marrow. TL/DR: definitely a memorable indulgence and it is priced accordingly.

Overall 4/5: I think this place is worth trying, especially since it offers unique items not typically found at other hot pot spots. The hot pot itself I think was average but the real standout for me was the appetizers. Seating in a booth tucked away in a corner on the first floor was a bit awkward to navigate. The sauce station downstairs was not well maintained and several items were out of stock, but that may have been because it was around 9PM. Second floor seating and sauce station are better. Food 4.5/5: Main complaint is that their menu is really confusing, despite this being my second visit. There are 4 pricing tiers. Everyone in a party has to choose the same one, so it can get pricey fast. Higher tiers include seafood and more premium wagyu cuts. You still get unlimited wagyu in the lowest tier but seafood is not included. I think this setup is fine because premium seafood items like lobster and crab tend to clutter the pot and are difficult to deshell while hot but also taste worse after cooled. Although the premium wagyu cuts do taste richer and "melt in your mouth," most of the fat is renders into the broth. Therefore, I don't think hot pot is the best way to enjoy wagyu, so the higher tiers didn't feel worth the price. The best part of the meal was definitely the appetizers and specialty dishes. The wagyu bone marrow was amazing and a must-try but only available to the second tier or up. Ambiance 3.5/5: I think being tucked away in a corner booth made the experience less enjoyable. The table was small for a party of 6, so we constantly had to rearrange dishes whenever new food arrived. It was inconvenient that everyone had to get up whenever I needed to refill my drink or sauce. Service 4/5: The first floor sauce station wasn't restocked throughout our stay so options were limited. Otherwise no real complaints regarding service to our table.

Been to both the Manhattan and Queens location, and prefer the Queens location as it's more spacious, and veggies, sides for hot pot, and drinks are self-serve. The drink selection is better in the Queens location as well. It's a lot more convenient to have self-serve options, the city location is much smaller and doesn't allow that. Also, hibachi is included in the Queens location and it's not available in the city location. Not that it matters to me because I prefer hot pot to the hibachi, to be honest. I'd rather just eat hot pot alone, but if you like variety that's something to consider. Service was very good, we had a female server and she's very pleasant and helpful.

The food is excellent and the service is great. The inside of this place is so charming and fun. They give you 90 minutes for AYCE. The meat you order from the tablet and they bring it to you. We got the silver package, so it came with the meat and seafood option as well as one selection per person from the specialty dishes. They have a sauce bar, a veggies bar, some fruit, and a rice area. It wasn't packed, but we went during off-peak hours. If you go during prime time, definitely make a reservation. Its in downtown Flushing, so no parking.

Such good quality meats with a good mix of fat and protein. Service was quick and fast. It is on the expensive side--with 4 tiers, but I think the classic is the most bang for your buck. Food quality is pretty consistent with their other locations. They do let you take home an ice cream so that was a nice added touch.

Service was really good. Selection was very nice. If you like the food, definitely sign up for the membership. If you plan on coming back, you get $10 off for being a member and it's $26 for the membership if you have two people it makes it worth it or even more people. Decor is very nice as well. Pretty much everything is included with each package meaning drinks and appetizers and side dishes. If you're hungry and want meat, this is the spot.

Service 3/5 Food quality 5/5 Ambiance 3/5 I was so excited to try this place and to my surprise was a little disappointed. The seating arrangements are a little annoying even with reservation or joining the waitlist. Don't get me wrong, the seafood and wagyu is definitely high quality whilst the other areas are not so much as I noticed that the self service area has a few veggie options, however I was a little grossed out from the sauce area, drink area, and bathroom area.

This Miyaki location looks super fancy from the outside, and the interior doesn't disappoint--beautiful lighting, decor, and a chic vibe. We were greeted warmly at the front; service was friendly overall. That said, there are a few things that need some attention. The fruit bar upstairs really needs to be covered--we noticed a few fruit flies, which isn't appetizing. The veggie selection was limited, and there were so many types of mushrooms... which made us wonder what would happen if someone was allergic. For hygiene, please consider using disposable cups at the drink bar. Also, the tables are way too small for all the dishes that come with an all-you-can-eat setup--it got cramped quickly. We went with the Silver Tier, and while the beef was fresh, the portion was tiny. The tom yum broth was way too creamy--felt more like a curry hotpot. The spicy miso broth was also bland, which was disappointing. Seafood was fresh, but the clams were tiny and the fish slices were thinner than my hair. And the lobster? That wasn't a lobster--that was the baby grandchild of a lobster. Like, blink and you'll miss it. We were a party of 3, spent nearly $300, and only had 90 minutes per table. Thing is, the server spent about 30 minutes explaining the menu, and it took forever for the pot to heat up. By the time we were eating, we were already being reminded (multiple times, in front of others!) that our time was almost up. Maybe a timer on each table would help make things less awkward--we definitely felt rushed, and hotpot is meant to be a slow, social meal. Would I come back? Honestly, not at this price. If they bring down the cost and improve the service flow, maybe. But until then, it's a no from me.

Food 4.5/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4.5/5 I'm usually not the biggest fan of hotpot, but the quality of meat here surprised me, you can taste the tenderness in their wagyu. And the fact that it's all you can eat? Say less! We went with the $78 Gold Menu, which felt worth it for the premium cuts and added seafood specialties like crab legs, sashimi, and wagyu sliders. Also loved the Assam milk tea, rich, deep tea flavor and the fresh fruit selection with watermelon, clementines, pineapple, and peaches was a nice addition!

Check in at the kiosk when you arrive and stay close by--we missed our name being called and had to wait another 30 minutes after an already 2-hour wait for our party of five. Once seated, we understood why it's so popular. The restaurant features a beautiful water wheel, multiple levels of seating, and a lively atmosphere. You customize your meal by choosing your broth, meats, vegetables, and sauces. We started with the spicy broth, but it was overloaded with chili peppers for our taste, so we switched to the herbal broth, which was rich, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. The fresh ingredients were the highlight. We enjoyed the water spinach so much that we ordered three servings. Other favorites included the milky beef, lotus root, beef balls, bean curd sheets, and several other fresh selections. The extensive sauce bar let everyone create their perfect dipping sauce. Considering the generous portions and quality, the prices were very reasonable. The wait is long, but the outstanding food makes it worthwhile. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Flushing.

I've been coming to Spring Shabu Shabu since they first opened years ago, and they have never disappointed me. If you're looking for a huge variety of freshly made noodles, fish cakes, vegetables, and other hot pot essentials, this is the place to be. Although it's AYCE (all-you-can-eat), meats, seafood, and drinks are not included. Honestly, with all the options available at the buffet, it's more than enough for me. The fresh ramen is usually my noodle of choice, but there are so many great unique flavors that you really can't go wrong. Today, I tried the chili garlic and curry noodles, and both were delicious. The curry flavor was light and subtle, but you can definitely taste it when eaten on its own. The chili garlic noodles had a nice kick that I really enjoyed. If you're new to hot pot, this is a great place to start. Everyone gets their own individual pot and can choose their own broth. My family and I prefer not to share because we all enjoy different ingredients and flavors, so having a personal pot allows everyone to customize their meal. I love spicy food, so I always order the Mala broth. The service here is excellent. Special shoutout to Wendy and Jamaica for always being so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. My family and I truly appreciate your hospitality every time we visit. Is it loud? Yes, but not "concert loud." The atmosphere is lively, the music is great, and it's very family-friendly. It's also perfect for large parties and gatherings since there's a separate private room near the entrance. Tips for First-Time Visitors: Most of the parking spaces in the front large lot have been blocked off, so give yourself extra time to find parking around Flushing. Make sure everyone in your party is present since the entire group must be present to be seated. Once seated, place your order first, then head to the buffet area to grab your food. Don't forget to stop by the sauce station near the entrance and create your own dipping sauce! Finally, save room for dessert! Soft serve ice cream: Matcha, vanilla, lactose free vanilla and the famous Dole Whip! Choice of cup or cone. Bottom line: Spring Shabu Shabu continues to be my favorite hot pot restaurant. Great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere so stop by and give it try!

I haven't been here for about three years now and so much has changed, and not for the better. We…read morecame around 6:30pm as a party of four (3 adults and 1 infant) on a Friday and were quickly seated, which was different in years past where we had to wait. Pricing has increased since the last time we were here which is understandable with the increase in cost. They do not validate parking anymore. Waitress had greeted us and asked for the soups right away since we had been here before. We had requested if we can get a pot of plain water for the baby so that we can boil stuff without any sodium. She said sorry that will have to cost extra. But then I referred back to their ad that children under 3 eats free. And the whole explanation was yes but they could not have their own pot. She says this is just company policy and that it's not my decision. A few minutes later she came back and said I talked to management and they said it was ok for you to have a pot of plain water. After this, she doesn't come back to check in on us or ask for any refills on the soup and had to flag her down. Plates were slow to be cleared. Food - in the past we loved the fresh noodles here, but not anymore. Maybe it's due to less people, but the noodles are old and stay clumped up together. Everything else was pretty typical with the vegetables and the various types of fish balls. I don't think we will be returning here anytime soon. There are so many hot pot places to go to that are higher quality and better service. It's sad because they were once so popular, but I don't think they have adapted to the changing restaurant options in flushing.

It looked like this place only does 1 large pot per table compared to individual pots. You can split the broth up to 3 types. We got the 2-broth split pot with "Liu House Special Soup Base" and "Tomato Soup Base", both were above my expectation in flavor. They have a sauce station that you make yourself and prepped food that is ready to eat such as edamame and seaweed salad. Also, a drink station with water, orange juice, passion fruit juice and iced tea. Everything is ordered on the tablet that is at the table and the staff there are very observing since every time we have an empty plate/dish they would come back and remove it from our table. It came out to $53 per person with tax and tip for an AYCE location that serves higher than average ingredients. Overall I would come back again since I enjoyed it a lot and it is well maintained. The broth at medium spice level was flavorful and they had a good selection of meat, seafood and vegetables. Overall, the food and service were good.

We got the Tom Zap beef and Chicken broths since it's against my religion to have blood. The Tom Zap taste like Tom yum soup. The meats and seafood were very fresh. The sauces delightful. We enjoyed the mild and spicy sauce. It didn't bother my stomach so I'm happy they used real peppers and not chemical spices. One thing I didn't expect to like so much was garlic fried rice. It was delicious! We also enjoyed grilling the marinated beef and pork belly. The mango salad and spring rolls were delicious. The waitress teased us for stopping after 1 round. The drinks were good too we got a coconut smoothie with milk and Thai iced tea, definitely need that to cool you down from the spicy food. Next time will be back again and hopefully hungrier so I can enjoy more food!

Having traveled from Pennsylvania based on positive experiences Ive been here few times before, I expected a much better experience. The service felt off from the start due to I was speaking Thai and waiter/waitress likely judged that I do not speak English. My husband heard the whole conversation and it bothered him at the moment led him to feel unwelcome, but I told my husband that I don't care what they think so we can enjoy our meal. The overall atmosphere was rather strange for an all-you-can-eat buffet. The total bill for two adults came to ~$74 We ordered two sets of pendant bread () for takeout, and we left a $10 cash tip on the table. Almost immediately after placing the cash down, the waitress approached and asked if it was a TIP making a VISIBLY DISPLEASED expression before walking away. As we were leaving, I was confronted by the owner or head manager (me and him spoke Thai) inquired what was wrong with the service. He stated that the waitress had complained about the TIP amount less than 10%. We explained that we had not included the approximately $30 takeout order in our tip calculation, especially considering it was a buffet restaurant. A quick calculation would have shown that the $10 TIP represented roughly 15% on the dining portion alone, and the waitress's primary contribution during our visit was simply providing water and choice of 'appetizers'. I gave them 5 stars on google and yelp 6 years ago (going to delete it) I have always recommended this place to my boss and colleagues from NY, NJ to PA But I will have to retract my recommendation to them after this. I REPEAT 'DO NOT COME HERE' We will NOT be returning. While the food itself was decent but the UNGRATEFUL ATTITUDE and handling of the situation completely ruined what had otherwise been a pleasant meal. I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE! They will not appreciate shit from you if it TOO LITTLE (for them). This incident was HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I wish I can get my $10 back. Just because you want more, then you DESERVE NOTHING
