I dined here on 4/4/26. While the food was good, the overall experience was significantly impacted by prolonged repeated loud screaming from a child in the dining room, in the booth behind me. I fully understand that young children cry and I do not expect restaurants to prevent that, however I was extremely disappointed by management's unwillingness to manage the situation affecting the dining environment for other guests. Most restaurants at least make some effort to balance the comfort of all the patrons when a disruption becomes prolonged. Choosing to not intervene at all gave the impression that the overall guest experience was not important or considered. Because the restaurant did nothing, I asked the mother of the screaming child if they could please address their child. The mother stated " I don't care " and told me to mind my own business. That tells you everything you need to know about the parent in 10 seconds. They let their child scream as if they were the only people in the restaurant, without an ounce of care for the disruption to other's dining experience. I rarely leave critical reviews, but this situation stands out because it was handled as if nothing should be done. I hope management reconsiders how situations like this are addressed, as attentiveness to the overall atmosphere is an important part of hospitality. A screaming 1 year old child should not be excused as acceptable, especially when the parents did absolutely NOTHING to try to mitigate the situation. Without concern for all patrons' dining experience, I am reluctant to return despite otherwise good food for good prices. read more

This is such a great sushi joint and totally family friendly! My kids love to go here. Our favorite dish is the jalapeño yellow tail sashimi. We always order chicken teriyaki, dragon rolls, and tempura. Honestly, it's such a solid place. I've been to many sushi restaurants in the area and this is our favorite by far. When ordering pickup don't use grubhub for placing your online order. They charge more for each item. When i picked up my order it showed it was a doordash order for $80.54 and I was charged $100.69 for the same order on grubhub. Not sure what is going on here but would recommend not selecting grubhub to process your order. However, let me clarify that the food is excellent and it is my favorite place for sushi...dine in or take out..just would prefer my money go to the restaurant not a lame delivery platform especially when they are doing nothing when I pick up the order and the restaurant provides the food! read more

Solid sushi spot! Our group of four ordered 5 different rolls and 3 appetizers. We finished everything and were very satisfied. The service was also great. Alliana checked on us regularly, but not too often to the point where it was disrupting our meal. We even had 2 kids and she made sure that everyone was taken care of. I cannot believe Vista has this nice of a sushi place. Competes with Sushi Lounge in Encinitas and Blue Ocean in Carlsbad in terms of quality. Their pricing is incredible value for the quality you receive. Fun for a date night. We are going to order out next time. The quail egg shooters seem gimmicky, for perhaps my lack of knowledge, but I can promise you that they are delicious and worth it. We ordered two more for the night cap. So thankful for quality sushi and that is hard to find in Vista. If you like great sushi, then you will love this place. read more

The sushi here is really...really bad. If you want a California roll, then maybe ok - but when they are needing to make 'real' sushi they completely failed. Food tasted so bad we took a few bites and left. If a sushi place is open 7 days a week, do NOT go there since they don't close and restock fresh fish like a real sushi place does. AVOID!!
