Cute restaurant with nice decor, friendly staff, and open kitchen. I had the Grilled Salmon with Ginger tea. The Salmon was lightly grilled and glazed. The bed of greens it came with were a nice complement to the flavor of the salmon. It definitley had a farm to table feel with fresh ingredients without the additives. I loved the loose leaf tea and the pot was constantly replenished so that my tea remained hot. The staff here were a treat. I could venture to this little gem again and again! Having said that, no real KETO options, as every plate had some glaze or side kicking up the carb count. Even the salads were high carb. Food was a little slow but well prepared. They asked us to split between two tables since there were five of us and we ended up being the only ones on the patio. There was a small happy hour discount on burgers and flatbreads and also some drinks. I tried a house margarita and it was delicious! There's a small parking lot in the back that's shared with the apartment complex. I drove passed it first and had to make a U-turn. My friend made reservations for brunch at 10:45pm on a Sunday. It actually wasn't very busy but you never know. We got seated immediately. I thought the restaurant was very cute and modern. Loved the ambiance. The atmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for, and our waiter, Marco was super nice and on top of it. The menu also added calories and further broke down how many grams of fat, carbs, and protein were in each dish. We started with the mango spring rolls which came out almost immediately. My drink was perfect but his tasted a little watery. I ordered the Chilean sea bass which was amazing. Honestly the sauce it came with made the meal and I ordered more on the side. And the Margherita Flatbread came out warm and was delicious. My Sea Bass entree was excellent and they had a new Swordfish entree that very popular and tasty. Their dessert mini's were a great way to end the meal. I ordered the Key Lime which was one of their more popular ones and could have eaten two since they were so good. My aunt took my mom and I here for my early birthday lunch today. I've been here a few times with my aunt. We like it because they have healthy choices. When the weather's nice we sit out on their little patio. It was freezing today so of course we were inside. Unfortunately, it was quite cold in the restaurant. My mom ordered hot water to keep her hands warm LOL! Both her and my aunt had the chicken wild rice soup today and loved it! I was really looking forward to the steak salad but it was drowned in dressing. The steak was good though. But I couldn't eat it all because it was soaked. My aunt said she wouldn't recommend the coffee but they did like the cappuccino. Parking is Hit or Miss there because they didn't have a valet today. We were fortunate to get a spot though. I have had other meals here that were much better. So until another time, hopefully they will exceed my expectations next time. The service was good though. The only issue we have was with the California burger with mushrooms: it was one of those sandwiches that is impossible to eat with your hands. As soon as you grab hold of it the filling starts to slip and slide, eventually falling onto the plate. Trying to manage the mess gets grease all over your fingers which, despite heavy wiping on a cloth napkin, made handling the knife a chore. Awesome food. The sea bass was awesome followed closely with the mushroom salad (a big surprise). The tenderloin was a miss at the table but there is a chance it was just a fluke. Two bottles of wine for four, two dessert cappuccinos and three desserts and we walked out for just shy of $300. It was a great evening and the food was exceptional. Go for the company and for the sea bass. The rest is just ambiance and pinnace. Special kudos to Chandra as her table side was superior and her hospitality was exquisite. Thanks for making it a special night for me and my fiancé. The thing that would have made it a five would have been the tenderloin wowing the table as much as the sea bass. And, the price did not match the experience. It was close, but it was not a clear "over-delivery" on the part of MVK. They set the bar high and they delivered. They did not exceed. We love coming here for a nightcap and an assortment of the little desserts that they have. I am so tired of bartenders who are too busy working the service pit than working the bar. We had to wait on several occasions for the bartender to finish mixing craft cocktails. All we wanted was wine and a few desserts. I received my napkin that I asked for when we paid our check. It shows how untrained and unprofessional the service industry has become. Bartenders tend the bar. Get a bartender to service the waitstaff.
