Visited the location in Sylvania on Central Avenue and very disappointed in their catfish dinner. One waitress on duty and I had the impression that I was intruding on her time,as she was on her cell phone even while taking our order. After twenty minutes of waiting the waitress came and said that they were out of Cole Slaw. Over priced for what you get and not nearly as tasty as most seafood restaurants. The fish was thin slices of fish as coated with a mealy type coating. They did however have tasty fries. As for Ambience,the restaurant definitely looked very nice indicating Seafood was their specialty. No,I have very little desire to return. read more

This was our third visit to Million's Crab in Toledo. It will be our last. The food was always delicious, but they pulled something tonight that was a big turnoff. My wife's choice again was the lobster roll, which comes with fries or onion rings. On our previous visits, it was chock-full of lobster meat drenched in butter with almost no filler. Price was $18, which we deemed worth it for a proper size lobster roll. Tonight's version at $19 was less than half the size of the previous lobster rolls. My wife. enjoyed it, but the downsizing bothered me. I felt we were ripped off and called for the manager. She came to the table, and I expressed my displeasure at paying more for substantially less. In all my dining experiences, I have never seen a lobster roll that tiny. The manager said that we should have sent it back before my wife bit into it. I said that was the reason we came to that place, but would not return for their lobster roll now that we see what they are serving. Then the manager asked what I expected them to do. I said, without hesitation, that a price adjustment should be made. She did knock $5 off the $19 price. To be fair, I should add that my entree of a pound of mussels, steamed in a large bag with half an ear of corn and a mini potato for $12, was outstanding. It's what I have ordered there every time with garlic butter sauce and medium spicy seasoning. Service was pleasant with only a few diners in the place. It was decided that I would try Million's Crab today and I was not disappointed. We were seated about 2 minutes after arriving, and the food took around half an hour. I ordered lobster tail and a pound of shrimp that came with potatoes and corn. The restaurant did not skimp! The quality of the lobster and shrimp was amazing - better than most places I've had! The sauce paired beautifully with the shrimp and lobster. The server was cordial and did give us information regarding spice levels. I did like the decoration, it reminded me of Red Lobster. We were hungry but not sure for what and didn't see many cars in the lot. We decided to take a chance on Million's. The restaurant was clean. We were the only ones in the restaurant so we immediately were skeptical. Our server Tierra was very nice and helpful. We had been to another place before that did the seafood boil. It came as expected in a bag! (A previous review complained about a bag, what do you expect it's a boil) I got the A combo and my wife got the special. We ordered crab cake balls but they were out. Would have like to try those. Got coconut shrimp was good. Would have been better with a better sauce like a fruity sauce to play off the coconut. Food is so nasty! Bland and flavorless. I ordered the lobster shrimp creamy pasta and I couldn't believe how bland it was. It came with HALF of a small lobster and 8 shrimp. There wasn't nearly enough sauce on it. I also ordered a veggie bag with broccoli and corn in the creamy garlic butter sauce. The sauce was soooo watery, and there wasn't even a flavor to it. It tasted like water and corn starch. Just nasty. Tied the bag up and threw it away. I really wasted $54 on this disgusting food. Not happy at all. I can't comment about the service or ambiance because I did a take out order. Had I dined in, I would have got up and left immediately. I'm not sure what to think of this place? We started off with our drink orders. No beer or wine, so we all had cocktails. It took bar tender so long, our food came out before the drinks. We had to ask for everything: water, plates, silverware. I spent $224.00 for 3 adults. For this kind of money things should be on point and they are not. Food was not great, everything was soggy, and with a weird taste. 3 of our entrees took around 10-15 minutes longer than the rest of the other 4. French fries and the crab cakes were not great either. Our server, Morgan, knowing we needed refills and did not have all of our food sat at the bar on her phone for 5 minutes instead of tending to her tables. I am on the same page as Jed C, I wasn't very impressed with this establishment. I was initially excited when going through the menu and selected the lobster roll $18.00. It was presented in what seemed to be in a split-top bun smaller than something used for hotdogs and I ordered a side salad instead of fries. I was told the only salad dressing choice they had was ranch, so I asked for it on the side. The salad was in a soup cup and had what tasted like Italian dressing. The lobster roll probably had 3 ounces of lobster at best, so $18.00 for an appetizer side lobster roll and a side salad was quite excessive. Been there, done that, and will not go back. read more

Ate here on 3/11. Our server, Shakarra was fantastic. Started with fried okra and fried mushrooms. Both were excellent and piping hot. They were served with 3 sauces which were all very good but my favorite was the mango. Yummy! I had coconut shrimp and my husband had a soft shell crab burger both with sweet potato fries. There were only two parties dining at the time, one was paying out and it was obvious that there were some issues with their experience as the server was discussing removing items from the bill. The building itself is pretty divey...might have been an old Sizzlers type place at one point. Our server was very attentive but the service was slow. We each ordered Combo C. The meal is presented in what seemed like a cheap, opaque, trash bag as opposed to a netted seafood boil bag. The food itself was less than mediocre, lacking in any distinct flavor of what one would expect (garlic, old bay, butter, Cajun, etc. etc) and all mixed up in so much of this watery sauce. Felt like we were homeless and eating out of a trash bag in the back of some restaurant dumpster. Nobody in my party finished their meal (not even close!) and when offered to have the items prepped to take home, we immediately declined. It was THAT bad. FYI to all my friends in the Toledo NW Ohio area. Do not eat at Millions Crabs. We went there tonight for supper for my birthday. We literally left most of our meal on the table. My daughter ordered a fish sandwich which she said was slimy and undercooked. My oldest son ordered a "lobster roll" which cost $18. It was just a very small split croissant type bun with mostly what tasted like Cole slaw inside it. (There were two black hairs in his food and none of us have black hair. When I said this to the manager, her response was that the cook doesn't have hair like that either. ) My youngest son ordered a chicken sandwich and was served a fish sandwich which they brought to the table five minutes after bringing everyone else's food. My wife ordered a fish sandwich and it was so flavorless that she didn't realize it was the chicken sandwich intended for our son. When our youngest son got his "chicken" sandwich, he took one bite of it and immediately was repulsed because he does not like fish. The clam chowder was water with the smell of clams. Two of us ordered that and neither one of us could finish it. I ordered alligator bites, calamari, macaroni and cheese bites with bacon, 6 raw oysters on the half shell, and onion rings to be brought to the table for everyone to share. The taste of the alligator bites and the calamari was indistinguishable from each other. The oysters had not been detached from the shells and no knife was provided to cut them away from them. They had zero flavor. For the very first time in my life, I felt compelled to salt oysters! Our grandson ordered chicken tenders and fries. Only one mixed drink was in the entire order. Our original bill was $178!! What they got right out of the entire meal was the macaroni and cheese bacon bites, the grandson's chicken tenders, and the fries. The mixed drink was correctly made. My wife finished her sandwich, but she had eaten too much of it to trade with our son after they realized the error the cook made in switching their sandwiches. They knocked off $50 dollars from the meal after I called the manager to the table and showed her how little more than a bite had been taken from each entree. Frankly, if I had seen how much food was left, I would have comped the entire meal. It was so bad, we were actually laughing about it saying we would stop at McDonald's on the way home. Due to our schedules, we had drove in separate cars. I let the rest of the family leave so they could avoid hearing the confrontation. I drive past Millions Crabs on almost a daily basis, since it is on the same road I take when I am going to any other destination in Toledo. Seems to be run by people who run Chinese buffet, and quite frankly it's red lobster prices + at long John silvers quality. Better off going to a buffet! Waitress not friendly at all- manager or owner checked in with us and we said something and she said only talk to her then she is no longer seen. Seafood bread we ordered was nothing but a French bread cut down the middle with melted cheese and a bit of imitation crab, and it was cold when we got it. Garlic noodles we very dry and my girl didn't even want to finish them. She left hungry and fir her to complain says a lot. Went in tonight and stood at the front door for 10 minutes before someone would come seat us. Once seated sat there for 20 minutes and nobody would come greet us. While seated there watched people return food left and right. Watched numerous servers walk past us and just look at us. We finally just got up and left. My boyfriend's son had it in his head he HAD to try crawfish! We found this place and gave it a shot. We were so impressed! The place is so cute, decorated nicely, and has lots of seafood options (and some good chicken options for those of us who don't do seafood). Our server, Shakarra, was by far the best part of our experience! None of us had had crawfish before, but she was so patient in showing us how to peel them and eat them. She even brought out an extra one from the kitchen so she could do it herself to show us. She was cheery, fun, super helpful, and very patient! I honestly expected more out of the atmosphere and the food! The atmosphere felt cheap and unwelcoming. Definitely felt like a cheap Chinese buffet. We ordered sweet potato fries for an appetizer and all I have to say is don't do it! They didn't taste like sweet potato fries, they just tasted like oil and left your fingers coated in oil. The shrimp tasted off and watered logged. We ordered mild Cajun and it just tasted like butter. Not much flavor to it at all. The waitress was really nice but the staff was literally was rushing and literally "running" around. Our waitress also took a phone call on a cordless phone while she was taking our order. I had high hopes since I like seafood but was unfortunately quite disappointed. My chair was dirty/sticky when I sat down, but the hostess had someone come clean it as soon as I said something. Not a big deal, but then my daughter looked down at the floor and it was covered with tiny ants. It was my mistake for not leaving right then. My other daughter was wearing sandals and they were crawling on her feet. We ordered and the had no lemonade or Sierra Mist, so we asked what on their menu they did have - "cherry Coke" and "Orange Crush". They came back a little later and said they didn't have what my wife ordered. The prices are quite high. The food was just ok (but the fries were "good" according to the kids). If it wasn't for the cleanliness issues, I would have said 2 or 3 (maybe) stars. Like I mentioned, I wished we would have left - way overpriced for fast food type quality of food. read more
