As soon as we walked in, the first thing we noticed was the different vibe. After going to the old location for so many years, it took a second to get used to the change. But once the food started coming out, it reminded us exactly why we've kept coming back all these years. The food is still great, the flavors are still there, and at the end of the day, it's still Phlight. A new location and a new atmosphere, but the same place that has kept us coming back for 13 years. These were so refreshing and those dates were the perfect combination of salty and sweet. The Caesar salad had plenty of parmesan and the romaine was crisp. We also ordered the Mac n cheese, the steak with chimichurri, and sweet potato fries. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender, the Mac n cheese was creamy and ooey from the cheese, and the sweet potato fries were crisp too. It all paired nicely and was split between 5 of us. We all ordered white wine as well because it was warm. We also ordered the flour less Mexican souffle and brioche French toast for dessert. They were the great ending to our meal. The service was awesome too and our waitress gave us plenty of time to decide and checked in. I definitely recommend coming here. If you can, make a reservation ahead of time. We got seated pretty quickly because we opted for a table outside.

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was excellent. The hostess welcomed us downstairs, another staff member greeted us when we reached the rooftop, and our server quickly followed up. Then came the surprise: complimentary champagne for both of us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially because those little celebratory touches seem to be increasingly rare. Our server was also patient with our questions and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying dinner and catching up over: Baked Brie Brussels Sprouts Steak Frites Everything was flavorful, and the entire experience felt relaxed, peaceful, and worth the price point. Like most French bistro they have a shorter but traditional menu, with the usual suspects - onion soup, pate, escargot, charcuterie board, mussels, steak frites, Bouillabaisse - but what drew us in was the duck confit cassoulet. We have eaten cassoulet in Carcasonne, the home of cassoulet, and this was definitely worthy of the name. Gamey, savoury, duck falling off the bone, beans swimming in an umami broth, definitely lip lickingly good. However the vegetarian cassoulet was not as flavourful, it was nice, but needed more garlic, pepper, some herbs or seasoning, a little more oomph. The fennel was delish, but the beans bordering on bland and there was very little broth to dip my baguette into. With a belly full of beans we decided to order dessert because why not! Life is short, eat dessert, c'est la vie. Creme brulee was creamy with a tappingly good sugar crust, and the chocolate mousse had a nice consistency but was overwhelmed by cinnamon, which was a pity.
