Got in line at 8:55 and got inside by 8:58, then had everything in hand by 9:04. Super efficient. The spot blends Eastern European, French, Italian, and Middle Eastern influences, and you can tell in the variety. The bagels were great once heated up 9/10. Before heating they were a bit hard, but after they had a really nice texture and unique flavor. The giardiniera cream cheese wasn't my favorite though, a little too much going on compared to simpler cream cheeses 5/10. The banana bread au lait was sooo good 9.5/10. Really unique, more of a dessert drink, not too strong on coffee but still there. The s'mores croissant was almost perfect 9.6/10. Flaky, crispy on the outside, soft on the bottom, and great chocolate flavor without being too buttery. First time trying babka and I get the hype now 9/10! Kind of like a mix of cinnamon roll and bread. Even better warmed up. Service was amazing, the line moved fast and everyone was super friendly. The space is cute but seating is limited. Mostly outside by the window and a couple benches.

Came here on a Saturday morning around 9:30am. Me and my partner waited in line for about 15 minutes. There were about 20 people ahead of us and the line behind us grew a lot! I got the weekend breakfast sandwich with mortadella, egg, and a Parmesan crust. It was so good. Like incredibly good. I did not love the Parmesan because it was too salty but that's the point! I also got the vegan banana bread with chocolate chips, and my partner got a blueberry pastry. All was well done! For drinks I had a cold brew which was fine, and my partner had the banana latte, and said it was very good!

Been waiting to go to this award-winning bakery - surprisingly light traffic at 9am on a Friday. Got 2 savory pastries as well as the dubai pistachio croissant. The savory pastries were so fluffy and taste was on point, but the dubai pistachio croissant wasn't invoking the flavors I was familiar with - felt more like a chocolate croissant. The drinks were the absolute highlight of the menu - would go back for just buying their hot chocolate powder - so incredibly rich and decadent and maybe the best hot chocolate out there. The banana latte was also incredibly decadent, sweet, and not artificial-tasting at all . Both drinks are must-trys! Cute, small interior that will often times have a line crawling out the door. Side street or nearby neighborhood parking available.

Mindy's deserves all the praise it gets!! Seriously, from the second I stepped in the door I knew I would love it. There was a short line on a Saturday around 10:30 but it moved very quickly! They have their system down. There is nowhere to sit inside though, so you do have to be in and out and find a place to go to enjoy your pastries. Staff were so friendly!! I got the banana au lait and it was perfect, not too sweet and not too much banana. I tried the potato leek danish and the almond croissant. Both were soooo good! But was very impressed by the savory; it was so unique. Will definitely be back soon!

This litter bakery in is such a find! The line is usually out the door but moves very quickly since there isn't any sit down. They have a wonderful selection of pastries, ranging from bagels, savory pastries, to sweet tarts and cookies. They also have lattes and hot chocolate! Wasn't able to get any drinks this time but will have to go back for it. The pastry was so flaky!

I absolutely love coming to Mindy's Bakery. Their pastries are always delicious and I can't get enough of their drinks as well. I came here on a Thursday morning and it wasn't busy at all and it was quite nice being able to take my time to decide which pastry I wanted because usually on the weekends, there is always a long line. I ended up going with the Dubai Chocolate Croissant and it was delicious! I didn't really taste any pistachio but it was still really good. I also tried their seasonal grand au lait which was malted banana and it was SO good. I got it iced and I will definitely be back soon to get it again, it had such a nice banana flavor.

Among the many bakery options, try the Hot Cocoa which by the way won best in the USA according to a GMA judges... well it's pretty good. Always a line outside the door but moves fast. People

This placed was popping up on my social media, so I wanted to give it a try. I tried the onion bialy ($6). It was okay. I would not get that again or recommend it. I could taste the caramelized onions, but nothing to write home about. I prefer pastries with stronger flavors or just more filling/flavor to bread ratio. I even tried heating it up! I tried a few bites of another savory pastry with salami, egg, pimento cheese, and chive. That one tasted like a fancy pizza. I think it's better than the biatly. Overall, a little disappointed. Maybe I tried the wrong things? I saw pretty mixed reviews on the banana coffee and their sweet pastries. We went on a Saturday morning about 1 hour after it opened, and we waited for 15 minutes (10 min outside the store), which was not as long as I was expecting.

Absolutely incredible! GOAT pastries, donuts, coffee creations and THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE in the UNITED STATES! There appears to always be a line stretching out the front door and somewhat down the street but it is very waitable and the people in line are always in a jovial mood! We've met some very interesting people en wait. We've gotten the Hot Choco and many of the sweets and everything is incredible but we just tried a couple of the Creamed Spinach & Taleggio Stromboli sandwich-ishes and they were crazy delicious! I mean like maybe the best lunch items we've ever eaten! The crust is perfectly crisp and they were warmed, some things that we did not expect that were wonderful surprises. This place blows me away!

Idk how Mindy's doesn't have a higher rating?? Everything was bussin fr. The Shirley's banana yum yum coffee cake is without a doubt the best coffee cake I've ever ingested. That cheesecake + hot fudge layer is chef's kiss. The entire cake is super moist, but adding these layers makes it even moister. A very unique coffee cake indeed. The vodka sauce bialy was great as well! Pro tip: heat it up in the air fryer. The breakfast sandwich was sooo good. Super rich flavors & love the runny egg in the middle. However, the egg whites were still kinda runny. But this is easily fixed by popping this bad boy in the air fryer for a couple mins. The iced malted banana grand au lait was amazing!! The banana bread flavor really comes through - there's even chunks of banana which added great flavor imo! Kinda dangerous this place is in walking distance from me lol.

Fantastic muffins, especially if you're hurt and old and tired... and work with freakin children. Great place in Chicago if you like pastries and baked goods. I suggest you go there. They're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays though.

Service was quick yet the staff makes the environment feel very friendly and warm! Came here on a Wednesday morning and there was no wait. We ordered the 2 Ham, Mustard, & Gruyère croissants, 1 marbled coffee cake, and 2 banana bread au laits. Our order was packed and ready immediately after we paid so service is really quick. Everything was pretty tasty and the flavors went well together, the only complaint is the mustard in the croissant. All the mustard was centered in one place so when I took a bite it was just all mustard and not enjoyable because it was so overpowering. I LOVED the banana bread au lait. The taste was spot on! The cold foam is really well balanced with the coffee and not too sweet.

I especially liked the longanisa breakfast sandwich and chicken adobo. I'm so glad that they were willing to make the breakfast sandwhiches beyond 12pm for some of us waiting in line. Fyi they normally stop making the breakfast sandwhiches at noon. Be prepared to wait in line for at least an hour, this spot is super popular. I also really enjoyed the chicken adobo. The chicken was tender and I thought the hint of sweetness from the coconut flakes sprinkled on top was a pleasant touch. I also really liked the Manila fog drink - it wasn't too sweet or overpowering. For the ube huckleberry basque cake - I mostly tasted tartness from the huckleberry and not so much ube, but it was good regardless. The staff were all pretty nice. There's indoor and outdoor seating. You'll likely be able to make a friend or two from the wait in line haha. Highly recommend trying this place at least once!

I actually don't like truffle or croissant but this was flaky, and the rock sugar (I think that's what it is?) on top is so addicting. the cream truffle filling was flavorful but not overpowering -- longanisa egg sandwich + hashbrown: 7/10 just wasn't a standout for me -- mushroom adobo: 8/10 it was flavorful - I would order again but not sure it's worth almost $20 for drinks, we both got the hot yam but my boyfriend got it iced and I got it hot -- it tasted better iced but it was still lacking in ube flavor. the coffee also didn't taste strong enough for me personally honestly I really wanted to like this place more but for almost $100 for everything and the long wait, I expected at least half of the items to be perfect but I felt like only the truffle croissant felt like a 10/10 for me I will say the staff was very sweet though -- maybe it's a better experience dining in, so I think next time I will wake up early to eat inside and hopefully be able to give a higher rating :-)

I was skeptical at first because it is a local chain, rather than a singular location. However, it lived up to the hype. Service: it was extremely busy when we came in. The line was almost out the door. They have a system in place for ordering and seating so it worked well and fast given how busy they were. We didn't have any questions on where to order or where to stand when waiting for a seat. The staff were friendly and helped us find a spot to sit at. Ambiance: classic cafe in a city. Loud chatter, but it's a vibe. Very colorful and fun interior with cool textural elements. We had a seat that was facing the street so it was fun to people watch as we sipped and ate. Food: amazing breakfast selection! We ordered the morning sandwich and barbacoa bowl. The morning sandwich had THICK scrambled eggs which were super soft and tasty. I could've used more salsa verde on it. The bread was barely toasted. I'd rate the sandwich a 3.8/5. It got the job done. The barbacoa bowl was "really good" according to my fiancé. A great source of protein, fresh ingredients, nice flavor, and great portions. He would rate it a 5/5. Coffee: I am a coffee snob so I am quite harsh when it comes to reviewing it. Their machine is a cute La Marzocco. Appropriate sized "for-here" glasses according to the drinks. Plus, they were really cute. Wide variety of drink selection from your standards to the more girly-drinks (if there is such a thing). We ordered a cappuccino and small hot mocha. Latte art 4.5/5, temperature 5/5, flavor 4/5. The espresso didn't stand out to me, very standard flavor profile. However, the chocolate in the mocha was delicious. It's more of a rich, dark chocolate. Nice thin layer of foam. We visited around noon on a Sunday, and after reading the reviews here, I wasn't optimistic there would be many pastries left. Maybe I should play the lottery, because luckily there was no line and a pretty good selection of pastries left. The staff were super friendly and there were so many unique flavors of baked goods. We decided to split several and opted for the blueberry cloud cookie, chai cinnamon roll, banana pudding croissant, espresso cornflake cookie, and potato focaccia. The shop was more of a small take-out operation, so we took the pastries to a nearby park to eat. Everything was absolutely divine! The group favorite was the focaccia- the creamy potatoes and cheese brought a rich flavor that was perfectly balanced by the fluffy bread. The chai roll was perfectly soft and delicately spiced, completed with that soft cream cheese frosting and gooey center we all like to see. My personal favorite was the banana pudding croissant- the dough was so crispy that I'm pretty sure others could hear the bite, and there was a generous amount of filling with fresh bananas and visible vanilla beans in the whipped cream. The espresso cookie was super soft- while I couldn't taste the espresso very clearly, I absolutely *loved* the caramel-coated cornflakes topped with sea salt. Super unique and would definitely order again. Despite their decadent appearances, none of the pastries were too sweet. Already plotting a return visit and can't recommend this shop enough!
