This is a gem in East Cobb. The word that comes to mind is 'authentic.' I just finished eating the spicy cashew with beef dish, and it was fantastic. Minus one star for the long wait. We waited about 20 minutes to get waited on. 1 hour and 15 minutes from placing order to recieving food. Then the food came out at different times. Ming's is perfect and delicious! We celebrated Mother's day here and I have been back to try something new for the last 4 weeks. Every dish I've tried, 6 now, has been perfectly prepared with fresh ingredients, cooked to order, and incredibly flavorful with a generous portion at a great bang for the buck. from a quality perspective. I would recommend the Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Sichuan Beef, Hunan Combination, Chef's Ming's Spicy Beef, Sweet sour soup, Lettuce wraps, and Crab Rangoon. While the food is always great the service is always HORRIBLE, take out is the only way we will eat here after a number of times trying to dine in and the same experience. Clearly understaffed. Have eaten here several times. The food here is well above your typical Chinese restaurant and the prices are good. They have a pretty big selection and the food is a mix of Asian, Thai and Chinese. Also they believe in spicy - if the menu says spicy then believe it. Have had drunken noodles - good but spicy hot, pho - excellent, basil rice - excellent, spicy summer thai - good, green curry - just ok, house stir fried ramen - excellent. Also they finally have their beer and wine license. It looks like a family run business. If you are looking for good Chinese in the Johnson ferry/Lower roswell area - I recommend this place. We went to try the restaurant out as it's close to home with good review. We are a family of 4 with 4 dishes chosen mongolian beef, drunken noodle. Chicken wing, Chinese fried rice and chicken satay. Pro: Nice and cozy deco inside Attentive waitress Cons: Drunken noodle should be with rice noodle not Chinese egg noodle. It tasted of pure salt at first which we sent back. It came out again later not tasted any better after I watched everyone else eat. Feedbacks from other diners are the same, very salty food. Came to pay, the waitress said she gave us discount for the food not up to standard. The bill is over $70 and she gave us $1.60 discount. The dish was about $11.50. But hey, at least I've got some discount, right? Overall average food catered to western taste. Prices are about 25-40% higher compared to general Asian food in Buford hwy area. Given the area, the higher price is expected. I still think $3.50 for a tea bag and some hot water is a bit much though. So we already spent nearly $10 in hot tea before even getting to food. Conclusion: I expect a bit more for the price. Food is very average to inedible in my order. We won't come back. read more

Be careful if you have food allergies. I have a shellfish allergy. I ordered beef pad Thai with no shrimp. I specifically told the waiter I'm allergic to shrimp. Unfortunately my food was cross contaminated and I had a bad allergic reaction. Although shrimp was not in my dish, it was definitely cooked with it. My hubby and I absolutely LOVE the Mongolian Beef from the Chinese options. Normally the beef in this dish is chewy with lots of gristle in other restaurants, but not here!! And not good for East Cobb, good for Atlanta overall. I've had the Korean beef dish, Thai basil fried rice, and a spicy Thai noodle dish each of which were great. I've had the pho which was good, would've been better if the depth of flavor in the broth was deeper, but solid pho...for East Cobb. I've seen them get orders wrong for phoned pickup orders. My family tried this restaurant for the first time this week. We were there for dinner at 5:30PM and were the only ones there, so no issues with service time that other reviewers have commented on. We ordered the spring rolls, pad thai and Mongolian beef. Everything was really good. I've been driving by this cute little spot for weeks now but tonight- I was finally able to try their cuisine in the comfort of my own home. First- we had the pork dumplings. This was my least favorite of the 3 dishes but still quality. A little too much ginger for my taste in the filling. The Sichuan Shrimp- deliciously fresh and spicy! Our first visit to this new restaurant was last evening. We were seated immediately and received excellent service all evening. We decided to each choose an item and then to share a little with each other. My wife had the Traditional Chicken Fried Rice and I chose Thai Mala Shrimp. Her plateful was jasmine rice stir fried with chicken, peas, carrots, eggs, and onions. My plate had eleven shrimp, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and more. Also, I was served a bowl of white rice. My dinner (shrimp) was slightly spicy. The Fried Rice had no heat at all. We were very pleased with our meals and will return to further check out the menu. read more
