We really like this place. We've eaten there a dozen times after a move at Jacob Burns but we've ordered delivery at least a couple dozen times. Tonight we ordered delivery and an hour and a half later (40 mins past delivery time) I called and was told they're really busy sorry for the delay and it would be there in a few minutes. 30 minutes later as I was getting ready to call again I received a call from the restaurant telling me the delivery driver told her he asked for cash for the food. We ordered thru Grubhub I'm not even sure there's an option for cash delivery. I told her I didn't know what she was talking about we haven't even gotten our food yet. She was confused thought we had gotten our food and said she would find out what was going and call me right back. A few minutes later our food did show up and he did ask for cash which we didnt give him. We verified our card was charged. The food was not fresh had been sitting somewhere for a while and I got no call back. We're super forgiving with a restaurant on a busy night even when it messes up our Sunday night dinner plans but come on. Food arrived over an hour late. Two hours after we ordered. Then the weirdness with the delivery and no call back to apologize or figure out what happened. Super disappointing we have other options. read more

Sushi was mediocre at best. Very bland, mushy texture, did not taste fresh. Only have wine by the bottle not the glass, which is confusing. Sashimi was sliced horribly, it was super thick and had holes in it. Would never recommend this to anyone ever. I have been going here at least twice a month for years, mainly before film club. Tonight may be the last time. They served my friend the wrong meal and then said they couldn't get her a new order for 10 minutes (we were already late for the movie) and they told us "we won't charge you" for the meal she could not eat and which they did not serve her. Customers lined up to bring up their own credit cards due to lack of service. When I tried to speak to the owner about it he told me it's busy. We didn't charge you---we did pay for my meal so I am not sure what the heck he is thinking. He was VERY rude. If you can avoid going there before a movie I would recommend avoiding the aggravation at all costs. Food is good if and when you get it. read more

I had the volcano roll and it had no flavor whatsoever. The crispy orange beef is not worth $17. Especially when you can't discern if it's beef at all. This places offers a fairly typical Westchester pan-Asian dining experience. It is located in a big, attractive space with fairly impersonal decor. The servers were nice and helpful, and the prices just a little on the high side. The portions were plentiful, and they give you plenty of fresh vegetables in the bento boxes, but the some of the food could have been better. Shumai dumplings were mushy and bland. The salmon teriyaki was a little dry and lacking in flavor. For some reason they grind up the fish in their sushi rolls - we were surprised to see that, but it tasted all right. read more

They brought me Singapore rice noodles minus the chicken but with no vegetables-only a sliver of carrots and a green bean cut in half. I asked for vegetables. Miyabi's food never disappoints. We enjoy the volcano roll and the blue crab fajita and order it every time we go there. The portions are a good size that you can share. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but the portions have gotten much smaller while the prices stay the same or go up. We've been going here for years and it's been one of our favorite restaurants. The last couple of times we've noticed the amount of shrimp in the rock shrimp tempura has decreased significantly and tonight what used to be an eight piece specialty roll was suddenly a six piece. I asked the manager (clueless) about this and he at first said it should be 8 pieces. Then he spoke to the "chef" who said it's always been 6. The fact that I know he's wrong and he still wanted to argue about it convinced me that I will never go back. The Thai basil fried rice was also blah. Nothing Thai about it. We went both before and after a movie at the film center. Before was just for cocktails and after was for dinner. First, they make an amazing vodka martini, but most importantly, the food is wonderful. Our service was fantastic, not slow or lazy servers like some other reviews have said. This place doesn't even deserve a single star rating. I recently ordered from here online because the service when you go eat there is trash. Not only was the food I ordered (beef lo mein) spoiled but it had hair in it. The delivery guy is ALWAYS rude and disrespectful and to top it all off they charged my card twice. These people are thieves. Highly recommend staying away from this place or pay with only cash but frankly they don't deserve anyones business. It's true that the staff aren't the smiliest servers in town, but the food is well prepared and looks good on the plate. The sushi is fresh and served well. The cocktails are definitely better than most fusion restaurants. We ordered the pan friend noodles this past weekend, and the amount of actual noodle on the plate was not large. But it was so good, and this dish is hard to find prepared properly (with the skinny noodles). Mango shrimp were excellent. A go to spot for local chinese/japanese food. I've always had a great time at Miyabi. I love sushi and they do it well. The yellowtail has to be my favorite fish from them it's incredibly tasteful and good quality. Their rolls don't fall behind either and I always make sure to get one when I go. Their appetizers are awesome, specially the dumplings and pancake. The staff is very nice and always ready to work. Also management is really nice, always walking around and making sure everyone is happy. read more
