Minute Steak Pita and Breen beans
Laura G.

I've loved Miznon in Las Vegas for years -- it's one of my go-to spots and I take anyone who's willing to go with me. So I was genuinely excited to see they opened inside Grand Central Market. This is incredible Israeli street food by Chef Eyal Shani. We ordered the minute steak pita and the bag of green beans. Hands down the best pita I've ever had. It's soft, perfectly structured, and packed with bold, unique flavors. And the green beans? Surprisingly addictive. Served cold with a bright lemon vinaigrette -- simple but done perfectly. There are a lot of options at Grand Central Market, but don't skip Miznon. It's special. I'll be back again and again. Rumor has it Beverly Hills is next -- and that can't come soon enough.

Rotisserie Chicken Pita

Redefining casual fine dining with gourmet street food. Misnon harnesses Mediterranean Pita sandwiches with Israeli flair. The flavors are incredible. The sandwiches are well balanced and delicious. Hungry patrons will be happy with the Chicken or Steak. Falafel and Lavan are surprisingly flavorful with just the right blend of spices. Lamb and even Chicken Livers are on point for the authenticity seekers. Fine dining is really the edge here. Misnon is from a global empire of restaurants and delivers their expertise to LA in a pita. The pricing is a premium at around $30 for the pleasure. However, the staff is excellent and dining here made me reminiscent of flavors from afar.

Pass. Lamb Kebab Pita: minced lamb kebab, grilled onions/tomatoes, tahini, and spicy peppers

Been to the Vegas location, it was only ok, better than this. Ordered the Lamb Kebab Pita: A staple, featuring minced lamb kebab, grilled onions/tomatoes, tahini, and spicy peppers. Not authentic. They dont use Israeli pickles they use regular jarred deli pickles. They dont even serve hummus which is always the best condiment. Their tahini is a strong flavor and their zhug spicy sauce isn't spicy and tastes weird, not like normal zhug. Lamb was salty and was one large stick coming out of the pita so there wasn't enough actually inside the pita to get each bite with meat. If you ate it the way they served it you'd end up with mostly pita bites. They barely give any veggies either, I noticed a couple pickles and a couple onions. This isn't a typical loaded Israeli pita I'll tell you that. I was disappointed, wouldn't go back.

So happy to find a location in LA. We had Miznon in NY as well as Las Vegas but got to try new items at this location. Service was amazing and love that they have seating right in front of the place.

I loved the flavors in the rib eye pita! Super flavorful. It got a little messy at the end, but it was definitely worth it. The pickle was the perfect acid complement throughout. I ordered for like 5 people right during the lunch hour rush so it took a long time to get our order, but usually if you go with just yourself or another person, it's pretty quick. I tried the broken rotisserie chicken pita as well which was also great, but I preferred the steak pita. The falafel was really well done too - not dried out, perfect texture.

Falafel, run over potato

I am not exaggerating when I say that the candy beef pita is the best bite of food I've had in recent history. The meat is tender and flavorful, the pickles aren't overpowering and add the right amount of complimentary flavor and acid, and then the sauces bring everything together, wrapped in a pillow of dough. It's exceptional. I was considering giving 4 stars bc the roasted chicken pita was incredibly underwhelming. All it was was a mouthful of dry chicken. No pickles or sauces until the bottom, so it was just mouthfuls of dry chicken until then. The falafel was really fragrant and spiced well, not super moist but certainly not dry. The run over potato had an excellent dill sauce. But yeah, that candy beef will keep me coming back.

Plating over composition, but great food. Came here for the dine la deal, and we were impressed with the amount of food. We got the candy steak option, and the meat was super tender. But on its own, it needed help. We weren't about the mayo sauce, but the cilantro chutney type sauce and the big "shishito-esque", when stuffed inside the wrap, made it the perfect bite.

My coworkers got Miznon last time we came to grand central so I had to try it. Loved the minute steak, flavorful and cooked well, good balance of pita and meat and condiments. Pretty pricey for just a pita though, $21, but I think all the places at grand central are similar.

Stopped by Miznon and got the pita steak sandwich. Really solid. The steak was juicy, full of flavor, and cooked right, not dry at all. The pita was soft and fresh and held everything together without falling apart, which I appreciate because that usually makes or breaks a sandwich like this. Everything just worked. Nothing overcomplicated, just good ingredients done right. You actually taste the food instead of a bunch of random extras. The owner was a great guy too, took care of me and made sure everything was good. That kind of service goes a long way. Place had a good vibe, a little busy but you can tell it's popular for a reason. I'll be back.

It's great to Miznon fill up a vacant spot at GCM that was vacant for some time. Miznon is quick and over the counter Mediterranean restaurant serving up Mediterranean entrees if you're on the run or looking for a seat at the counter. I eat a lot of chicken at home. So, when I'm out it's the last thing I want to order. I did hear that the rotisserie broken chicken pita was really good here. Anddddd.. It definitively is! Served freshly slice with pieces of crispy skin, tahini, za'atar, scallions and grilled green peppers, this pita sandwich is comforting and tasty. I've also had the rib eye minute steak and lamb kabab with similar spices and toppings as the rotisserie chicken. Miznon does have kebab plates, salads and sides that appear to be good options. Worth a try and good option if you're a regular or visiting Grand Central Market. Service here is warm, talkative and friendly.

Great quality pita. Super soft. I got the candied beef. It was super tender, the fat just melts and it wasn't dry. Also got the falafel. It's was ok, nothing crazy. The workers looked like they didn't want to be there tbh lol. Asked where was the long chili pepper and she never came back. It's on the pricey side. It's good but I don't think I'd come back.

Falafel wrap - nice n' green in the center. Nutty tahini & spicy green peppers on the side. Can't wait to have it again.
Tom W.

Had the falafel wrap, and sat at the bar, which is pretty roomy compared to most of the spots in the ever-bustling Grand Central market. This thing was delicious - and came with a spicy salted pepper that was fun to eat on its own. Great sauces on the side. Pretty messy to eat, but in a good way. Make sure you get a drink, because the spices will get to you. Can't wait to go back and try something else, or just get the falafel wrap again.

Falafel Balls 5 pcs

Stopped by Miznon for lunch on a busy Sunday afternoon. I've had this spot on my list for awhile since I love Mediterranean food and I was excited to finally try it. What we ordered: Falafel balls (9.5/10): the standout of the meal. Earthy, savory, nutty, and perfectly crispy. The tahini and spicy green sauce were amazing with it. Would 100% order these again. Rib eye steak pita (8/10): tender and cooked well, but definitely on the saltier side. Rotisserie chicken pita (6/10): wanted to love this but fell short. The whole scallion inside the pita threw me off(wish it was chopped), and it was much too salty for my taste. Overall the falafel carried the meal. Not in a rush to come back, but glad I tried it. Solid 3.5/5 experience.

The Shawarma oyster mushrooms also another hit. We also ordered flat bread special which was feta & pomegranate seeds. Overall I was just so impressed with every dish. This review is long overdue because I first fell in love with Mazal as I impatiently anticipated their opening. I lived nearby and watched the progress as the owner and his father spent nearly two years building out the beautiful interior of the restaurant themselves. Everything about Mazal is a labor of love involving their entire family, including menu items that are grown in their orchard. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, whether you are in the dining room or on the patio. I'm back in LA frequently now and come to Mazal nearly every time. In addition to the hummus you have to have spicy tahini (or the new-to-me adorable mini falafel and tahini plate). My other new favorite I'll definitely have again is the shawarma oyster mushrooms, air-fried and served on cannellini bean purée with mint chimichurri. Everything is incredibly fresh and delicious. You don't want to miss the bourekas (the assortment of five cheese bourekas is something I dream about), the maghrebi potatoes (on tahini!), and the marble halva (take it home if you don't have room after all of the aforementioned must-haves and thank me later).
