    Wild mushroom in a pita
    Ivan A.

I made my way back to Miznon. This time I came for the schiztel breaded chicken pleasantly juicy in a pita with tahini sauce, pickle, and cabbage. The time is 5:30PM on a Saturday and sadly there does not seem to be much traffic at Miznon. Staff are friendly and ask if I would like some chilled water while I place my order at the self-service kiosk. I appreciate the attentiveness and attention to detail on a warm day. Miznon is in a lively market place but it remains a tranquil atmosphere where you may sit and talk with friends.

I loved the flavors in the rib eye pita! Super flavorful. It got a little messy at the end, but it was definitely worth it. The pickle was the perfect acid complement throughout. I ordered for like 5 people right during the lunch hour rush so it took a long time to get our order, but usually if you go with just yourself or another person, it's pretty quick. I tried the broken rotisserie chicken pita as well which was also great, but I preferred the steak pita. The falafel was really well done too - not dried out, perfect texture.

I am not exaggerating when I say that the candy beef pita is the best bite of food I've had in recent history. The meat is tender and flavorful, the pickles aren't overpowering and add the right amount of complimentary flavor and acid, and then the sauces bring everything together, wrapped in a pillow of dough. It's exceptional. I was considering giving 4 stars bc the roasted chicken pita was incredibly underwhelming. All it was was a mouthful of dry chicken. No pickles or sauces until the bottom, so it was just mouthfuls of dry chicken until then. The falafel was really fragrant and spiced well, not super moist but certainly not dry. The run over potato had an excellent dill sauce. But yeah, that candy beef will keep me coming back.

So happy to find a location in LA. We had Miznon in NY as well as Las Vegas but got to try new items at this location. Service was amazing and love that they have seating right in front of the place.

Plating over composition, but great food. Came here for the dine la deal, and we were impressed with the amount of food. We got the candy steak option, and the meat was super tender. But on its own, it needed help. We weren't about the mayo sauce, but the cilantro chutney type sauce and the big "shishito-esque", when stuffed inside the wrap, made it the perfect bite.

It's great to Miznon fill up a vacant spot at GCM that was vacant for some time. Miznon is quick and over the counter Mediterranean restaurant serving up Mediterranean entrees if you're on the run or looking for a seat at the counter. I eat a lot of chicken at home. So, when I'm out it's the last thing I want to order. I did hear that the rotisserie broken chicken pita was really good here. Anddddd.. It definitively is! Served freshly slice with pieces of crispy skin, tahini, za'atar, scallions and grilled green peppers, this pita sandwich is comforting and tasty. I've also had the rib eye minute steak and lamb kabab with similar spices and toppings as the rotisserie chicken. Miznon does have kebab plates, salads and sides that appear to be good options. Worth a try and good option if you're a regular or visiting Grand Central Market. Service here is warm, talkative and friendly.

Falafel wrap - nice n' green in the center. Nutty tahini & spicy green peppers on the side. Can't wait to have it again.

Had the falafel wrap, and sat at the bar, which is pretty roomy compared to most of the spots in the ever-bustling Grand Central market. This thing was delicious - and came with a spicy salted pepper that was fun to eat on its own. Great sauces on the side. Pretty messy to eat, but in a good way. Make sure you get a drink, because the spices will get to you. Can't wait to go back and try something else, or just get the falafel wrap again.

Stopped by Miznon for lunch on a busy Sunday afternoon. I've had this spot on my list for awhile since I love Mediterranean food and I was excited to finally try it. What we ordered: Falafel balls (9.5/10): the standout of the meal. Earthy, savory, nutty, and perfectly crispy. The tahini and spicy green sauce were amazing with it. Would 100% order these again. Rib eye steak pita (8/10): tender and cooked well, but definitely on the saltier side. Rotisserie chicken pita (6/10): wanted to love this but fell short. The whole scallion inside the pita threw me off(wish it was chopped), and it was much too salty for my taste. Overall the falafel carried the meal. Not in a rush to come back, but glad I tried it. Solid 3.5/5 experience.

My partner and I finally tried this newish spot in grand central market and, honestly, wanted to like it more than I did. They are located in a really prominent and large spot just inside the market on Hill street and were fairly busy. Despite being busy, service was fast. We got an order of falafel, a ribeye steak pita, and a rotisserie chicken pita. The falafel came with 5 falafels and a dipping sauce. The falafel were good and were pipping hot! The pita bread was very soft and fresh. The ribeye pita was tasty and the meat was nice and tender. The rotisserie chicken pita was kinda whatever to me. It wasn't bad, but also wasn't particularly memorable. My biggest critique is that everything tasted overly salty to me. The food was good, but it wasn't a place I would crave. Miznon is a nice addition to grand central market, but with the number of other places located literally steps away, it's not somewhere I personally will be rushing to return to.

My coworkers got Miznon last time we came to grand central so I had to try it. Loved the minute steak, flavorful and cooked well, good balance of pita and meat and condiments. Pretty pricey for just a pita though, $21, but I think all the places at grand central are similar.

This place offers middle eastern food mostly in an elevated pita form + sides. Think shawarma, but with steak. There are many vegetarian options but, lots of meat choices between beef, lamb and chicken. I had the candy steak pita. Never had a pita like it before with a piece of tender steak. The sweet potato was just ok, nothing memorable about it. Overall, impressed but, I really didn't like their spicy sauce (not the flavor or the fact I don't like spicy). It's a green chili that they add on many things. If you don't like spicy just pass on it. - you can always ask them to not put in on their pitas.

What I Ordered: -Rib Eye Minute Steak $21.00 -The Original World Famous Baby Cauliflower $11.00 Melissa was very helpful and attentive, offering good recommendations. I ordered the Rib Eye Minute Steak Pita, and the fresh pita with flavorful condiments was good. However, the steak was a bit soft, chewy, and stringy, so I wouldn't order it again. Next time, I'll try the Rotisserie Chicken. The real highlight was The Original World Famous Baby Cauliflower. It was incredibly fresh, smothered in olive oil and sea salt - I couldn't stop eating it. I highly recommend it as a healthy side to share; it's plenty for two people. Despite my mixed feelings about the Rib Eye Minute Steak, I'd return to try other pitas and definitely get the Baby Cauliflower again. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Great quality pita. Super soft. I got the candied beef. It was super tender, the fat just melts and it wasn't dry. Also got the falafel. It's was ok, nothing crazy. The workers looked like they didn't want to be there tbh lol. Asked where was the long chili pepper and she never came back. It's on the pricey side. It's good but I don't think I'd come back.

Excellent option within the Grand Central Market. Highly recommend the ribeye pita although others in my group also liked the candy steak.

We had the Peruvian scallop crudo and chicken Bao buns from this menu. They were divine. From the main menu, we had the frena, sweet corn tortellini and hangar steak kebabs. The bread was perfectly spiced, the tortellini was sublime and kebabs were such an elevated take on steak with chimichurri. One super minor thing: I think they could have been even better if it was medium rare, but it was still amazing! Can't wait to go back!

Food: 3.5 stars Ambiance: 3.5 stars…read more Service: 1.5 stars I have now been to this place twice. I was excited to share the experience with my friends, as I recalled it being good when it first opened; so it was definitely repeatable. However this second trip was -- insulting. It looked like a place run by kids in their 20s, with no customer service experience, and unregulated emotions. So let's start with the main star-- the food! With a number of options, it was hard to narrow down what we wanted. But finally, we made our choices between the small plates, shareables, and mains. To our disappointment, they were out of the branzino- fine. We understand. We replanned what we wanted (you have to put your whole order in at one time). Then we decided to get a number of additional small plates-- and wanted wings. Guess what? Womp womp-- after our server informed us the Branzino was out, she moved on to attend other tables. During that time, they ran out of the wings. No problem! We decided to just get the chicken. The Blue Fin Carpaccio The Octopus The Grandmas Cigars The Crispy Tuna 2 orders of the Chicken Jidori 4 glasses of wine for the table This is everything we went with. The wine was excellent. The Blue Fin Carpaccio with Challah - Good, but the Challah was not grilled, instead burnt The Octopus - some of the best I've had, exceptional The Grandma Cigars- underwhelming The Crispy Tuna - salty & nothing outstanding The Chicken Jidori - very good Now here's the problem. When we asked the server to if we could get another challah, she was annoyed. She then brought out another piece, this time much smaller, less fluffy, and entirely dry, and said-- "it wasn't burnt, they grill it". Then I started to explain, well the last one, the taste was burnt and the edges-- but before I could finish, she said, "I'm gonna walk away now". To our shock, she left mid-sentence. This could've been a kitchen issue and not her issue-- but with the way she handled the service, it was absolutely insulting. I asked for the manager, who simply changed our server. Made no additional amends (but she did fix our wobbly table). There was no concession, or enjoy xyz on the house, or remorse. I suspect if she was a friend of the servers that was a host, and not the manager. As she didn't handle the situation like an established and competent manager. In the end, it may have been an off night for the kitchen and the staff-- perhaps the manager went to enjoy the World Cup watch parties and left the restaurant in hands that just couldn't match the demands of the evening. It was a Sunday night, and the vibe was on, with a filled restaurant. I enjoy the space, but I can't say I'd be delighted to experience what I had, not from a food or wine standpoint, but pure service. After $400- I expect better service. I get treated better at Sweetgreens, and that only costs me $25.

We paid $68 for two salads and an order of fries, which felt overpriced for the quality and portions. What really stood out, however, was the customer service. I visited with my mother and my toddler son. Since my son wasn't going to eat fried food, I bought him a fruit smoothie from a neighboring business. While we were already in line paying for our order, the owner or manager approached us and informed us that outside food and drinks were not allowed because the restaurant is kosher. Although he said he would make an exception this one time, he approached us again while we were waiting outside for our food. We had chosen to sit outside because the restaurant was crowded, loud, and stuffy inside. Despite us not causing any issues, he again insisted that the smoothie could not be on the premises and began explaining that his license could be suspended due to association rules. We politely told him it wasn't a problem and decided to take our food to go. I understand businesses have policies, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational, especially considering the drink was for a toddler and we had already spent nearly $70 at the restaurant. Between the mediocre food, high prices, and rude customer service, I would not return. There are plenty of better dining options in the area.
