The Starman (right) and The Zephyr

This place has some great seasonal drinks. The Starman and The Zephyr are really refreshing and a good change up from my usual. The service was super fast and friendly. They even brought out to go drinks to us. I look forward to try their house drinks in the future.

Mnemonic Coffee is one of the really good ones- easily a favorite. The coffee is delicious, especially with their homemade flavors, and the staff are always amazing and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is small and cute, and they always have the sweetest flower arrangements that add such a nice touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can get busy and there's sometimes a line, and parking can be a bit tricky at times, but it's absolutely worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also in a great area for a walk and within walking distance of Balboa Park, which makes it an even better stop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pro tip: get the punch card - you'll definitely be coming back. Overall, just an amazing spot all around.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute and delicious coffee shop in Bankers Hill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their seasonal drink Backdraft was absolutely delicious. Sad it is not a regular but excited to try new seasonal drinks by them. The staff/owners are lovely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]LOVE the aesthetics of the shop too. Lots of attention to small details.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also love they do a small discount for bringing your own mug/cup and donate a small amount of the to go cups charge to a local charity. It's street parking which is primarily paid but there are some spots you can find unpaid.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute & quirky coffee shop[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried the maple street extra hot with almond milk & it was sooo good! I also tried the mint condition iced with oat milk and it was equally delicious I believe they only serve oat milk or almond milk for the coffees unfortunately but I would still come back to try other items on the menu!

I've been here a few times and enjoy their coffee. My standard is a hot Americano, but I've also tried their cold brew. The coffee is on point - smooth, strong and not bitter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's usually busy, but on a Friday morning, I was able to grab a seat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cozy and artistic place with dogs allowed indoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service has always been friendly and sweet.

This is an intimate coffee shop in both size and community. The staff seems to have a close relationship with each other and regulars. We got one of our favorites (cold brew) and it did not disappoint. It had chocolaty notes and was a great price as well. Not only did they have glasses for the cold brew but a glass straw as well which I personally really appreciate. The quirky almost retro diner vibe with tile coasters, and a nice fall color palette. Overall its a great spot to grab a coffee and im sure we will be back.

Pony Boy - caffeine free drink
    Samantha D.

I already had a Vietnamese Coffee and a Matcha Latte before I visited Mnemonic Coffee so I didn't need any more caffeine that day. I'm glad they offered "Zero Proof" drinks which was their caffeine free options. I ordered the Pony Boy which was saffron syrup, grapefruit, and Topo Chico, but I'm not sure if I actually tasted any grapefruit. Maybe I was expecting the Fever Tree Grapefruit soda which is super flavorful and sweet, but this drink was more Saffron than Grapefruit. It was decent! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really enjoyed the decor inside, but there isn't much seating space[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little spot in Hillcrest.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was lucky to find parking right in front, which was a huge plus. The staff was very professional, and the latte was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is extremely limited though, so I wouldn't recommend coming during weekends or peak hours unless you're just grabbing something to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

100% amazing! I would come back to San Diego to go to this place! The owners are extremely friendly and clearly love their business and what they do. It's a small shop, with little seating (and usually a line) but they talk to each customer as if it's their friend so they make it worthwhile. First time I got a barista recommendation (I told them to make whatever light sweet, simple latte that I could try) - they made a vanilla and cinnamon latte. I am not kidding when I say it was this best thing I've ever had and I dream about this drink all the time. I just went again yesterday and got a another specialty latte that was orange Bossom and cardamom and it was phenomenal. Cappuccinos are always smooth as well.

Believe the hype and the 5-star ratings! Mnemonic Coffee is THE SPOT! I had made a quick pit stop in the area and before leaving, I saw Mnemonic out of the corner of my eye and decided to stop by. WHAT A FANTASTIC CHOICE, I soon came to realize! The staff members were super friendly and helpful! After perusing the menu, I went with one of the specials, The Cardi B, which featured a housemade cardamom syrup. Within a handful on minutes, my beverage was crafted to perfection and served in a cute glass with a metal straw. I supremely appreciated the reusable/sustainable aspect and that it was an option. IMMEDIATE green flag in my book. Plus, I'm a sucker for cold beverages in glassware. While seating was limited due to the space being intimate, there are a handful of tables as well as seating at the bar. I was able to snag a spot at the bar, where I enjoyed my beverage and did a bit of work in my laptop. Overall, this was a FANTASTIC SPOT! I recommend swinging by if you're in the area, whether you're solo or with a friend. I'll definitely be stopping by again soon to try more menu options!

Tried the chiaroscuro! Wow what an incredible blend /contrast of balsamic, sweet and citrusy scent! Super creative and made me feel good! Great suggestion by the barista ( assuming owner) and I observed how they treated their regulars- very personable. Love the counter and the cozy vibe.

The best coffee you'll ever have. Holy Moly

Solid coffee spot but pretty pricey and only oat milk. I'm totally for oat milk as an option but I like standard whole milk instead and wish that was an option, especially since I felt like the oat milk upcharge was added into the price. I came on a Sunday around 10 and it wasn't too busy. The space is definitely a cool vibe. Not very big but they do have some seating that people were sitting/hanging out at. The baristas were very friendly and helpful in letting me know about the different drink options. I got the Maple Street which is maple syrup and cinnamon. I was worried it would be pretty sweet but they said that's actually one of their least sweet options. After trying it I agree. It wasnt too sweet at all.

    I got the top one!

Not particularly long, it went by pretty quick because I got distracted from all the goodies while standing in line. I ended up getting a El Jefe latte (brown sugar espresso) to start, and it was pretty good! Above average and was easy to drink, not too acidic. The brown sugar syrup was okay, I'd get something else the next time. Wait times were pretty long, but the chance to walk around and see pretty flowers, rocks, and plants make it not such a bad thing at all. There are a few tables, but there weren't enough for my party when I went in the late afternoon (5pm-ish) Plenty of parking, and cafe employees are extremely sweet and cheerful. They say green vibrant plants bring your high cortisol levels down. Would def recommend if you're in search of a new cafe. If you're coming from the airport, it's not too far and you can squeeze in a coffee/souvenir run!

This is such a cool spot…read more I love a good coffee shop, even more so when they have more than just coffee. Easy does it has simple but delicious beverage options including coffee, matcha, hojicha, pastries and open face bagels. All delicious. But in addition to that, they also sell plenty of packaged goods like a copious amount of high quality take home coffee beans from some really amazing roasters, matcha and hojicha powder, snacks (like shiso sour cream popcorn), spreads, and tin fish. The shop itself is huge with plenty of seating and tables, making this a great coffee date spot or remote work location. Their branding is really cute and unique which adds to the overall vibe. We even experienced a cool pop up on the weekend when we first went! The service is also really great. Everyone is kind and helpful and the wait it never too long.

OVERVIEW Come for the equally balanced, delicious coffee AND matcha drinks; the spacious work setting; the side entertainment (like a free bookshelf + camp chairs outside), and incredible ownership. Be prepared for hard parking during peak hours (lunchtime) and possible lack of seats (especially during schooltime). DRINKS It is RARE to find a shop whose matcha is on par with its coffee; normally, one is better than the other. Easy Does It, or EDI as we affectionately call it, is pro at BOTH. With coffee served from Provecho, matcha from Nami and hojicha from Paru??? You just hit a trifecta of GOOD good. Our Typical Order: 1) Iced Earl Grey Latte - omg, I LOVE the earthiness that the earl grey syrup brings to the matcha. Matcha, to me, is either too grassy or too sweet; the earl grey syrup makes it a perfectly earthy balance. 2) Honey Cinnamon Latte - how good could a standard coffee shop latte be, you ask? They have the HCL at almost every shop, and it's not usually standout. EDI, again, blew expectations wide open. Their HCL is balanced: sweet without being saccharine; and you can actually taste the cinnamon. 3) Hojicha Latte, Hot - omg, there was a time when I ordered almost one of these A DAY. Again, another sleeper - if you like the taste of coffee but can't take the caffeine (for a late night drink, perhaps), a hojicha is a good choice. It has that grounded taste that coffee gives, and the hot version of it is like a HUG for your mouth and stomach. They also have cool inventive flavors like the Matcha Cloud, the Coconut Cream Cloud (which is a coffee cloud on top of coconut water, I hear it's refreshing), so you'll never get tired of the drinks they have here. I also want to mention that they do serve wine and beer, too... so there's something for everyone! FOOD Spend any time in a coffee shop and know... you're gonna get hungry! Thankfully, EDI has open-faced bagel sandwiches AND pastries here, all of which look mighty tasty; all of which I cannot partake in, since I am gluten free. But ohhh, gluten warriors unite! Thanks to the partnership that is Jacob of Made for Mei Mei Mochi (aka the protein mochi) and Easy Does It, you'll have your PICK of 5 different flavors of homemade, chewy, ooey, DELICIOUS MOCHI -- SANS added sugars and preservatives you normally find in the store. I'm telling you, I don't normally like mochi (it tends to be so sweet) but I love the texture. And Made for Mei Mei hits it all! Flavors include: 1) chocolate hazelnut -- which tastes like Ferrer Rocher, yum 2) ube 3) green tea / red bean 4) black sesame 5) pb&j (yes, he's stocked peanut butter & jelly, a fan-demanded flavor) My favorites are #1 and #4; sometimes I go for #2 and #5 to mix it up. Either way, I spend WAY too much on these tiny li'l treats I might as well become an early investor. AMBIENCE This place is perfect for computer work as light doesn't directly fill the whole space. I like a li'l shade when I'm staring at a bright computer screen. There are two rooms: front and back; the back is a li'l darker and more chill vibes than the front. I also appreciate that they have a free bookshelf (just replenish it with your own!), plus a few magazines scattered around (for decoration, but I still browse). I miss when coffee shops had analog media, especially for when we don't want to be glued to our screens. EXTRA CREDIT Easy Does It also offers their shop as space for community events. From mahjong with No Ambition Tile Club to wine and jazz nights IN SUM THANK YOU Easy Does It ~ Grace, Nancy, the sister I haven't met, Eugenia, and the entire team ~ for creating a lovely third space where I can work, enjoy my snacks / drinks, meet friends and co-work, and have a great conversation. You make it so easy to feel welcomed, and I'll forever be grateful for you :)

This thing that impressed me the most was their gluten free noodle options! It did not taste or feel gluten free, I had to double check with the waiter. Plus they didn't not charge extra to substitute to the gluten free noodles and I am grateful for that. Lastly we got the hot tea pot to share and it was so much tea! It was delicious. They served it with a tea candle so the tea stayed warm the whole meal. I really enjoyed this place, definitely check them out.

The curry was super good, the meat was tender and the curry sauce itself had a little spicy kick in it but still super flavorful.
