Food is my go to happy place. Mod pizza with my favorite toppings on it. Service is good some days but can be better other days. Always a good, clean space to eat in, but I usually get it to go

I had a disappointing experience at MOD Pizza and won't return to this location. I ordered TWO pizzas with garlic cloves, green peppers and mushrooms, but NONE OF THOSE ingredients were cooked in the first attempt. When I asked for a remake, the staff (cook with uncovered Afro ) gave me an attitude. Despite a second try, the garlic and mushrooms, and green peppers were still uncooked. Pictures of the second attempt are picture in this review. Now, I have to go home and fully cook the pizza they couldn't get right after two attempts and with attitude. Additionally, none of the staff here wears any kind of hair protection to prevent their hair from getting in the pizza and ingredients. In my opinion both the staff and ownership of this location need an overhaul. MOD Pizza needs to step up its game and provide better service. Please refer to the RAW garlic cloves, mushrooms and green peppers attached to this review. 1/5.

    Tiny pizza.

Pizza prices changed- used to be one price for a pizza; now you have to let them know before you start if they are just cheese, one topping, or multiple toppings before they start. Fine, no biggie. Pizza are smaller than they used to be. Extremely skimpy with toppings. Get to checkout; and we give them the receipt that shows how many pizzas/toppings, and the guy tells us to go throw that away. Order 5 drinks. Tea is old and nasty. Dr Pepper is light brown and not drinkable. Try to go purchase a bottled drink from the open cooler. The cooler is warm. (Tried to say they made tea this morning, but container was less than 1/4 full prior to noon) We are all leaving hungry, as our tiny little pizzas didn't fill anyone, including the kids.

I've been a pizza connoisseur for 30 years, having pizza in Europe, the Far East of Asia, and the United States. MOD pizza is absolutely amazing! Truly, a pleasurable experience, as you bite into one of the tastiest, fulfilling, and mouthwatering pizzas to hit you taste buds. Brace yourself, as you'll be magically whisk away to a pleasure and comfort zone rarely achieved with pizza. Each piece is a savory plate that you'll cherish and compare with previous experiences, but there is no comparison! The staff are friendly and accommodating, each having a sparkling personality with a positive impact that brightens your day! This is not an experience to be missed!

So I came here very soon after they opened for lunch. The place had three other people and about 5 workers. I was greeted when I arrived and explained how the mini pizza work. What I was told was crazy!!! I could get whatever I wanted for the menu prize. That's freaking insane. All other pizza places charge you per item but I could get as little or as much as I wanted on this pizza...lets go. Once my order was placed, it spent about 7 minutes in the oven and I was out the door. The pizza itself was good. Some parts of the crust's edge was burnt to a crisp but it wasn't enough to complain about as I understand the oven can get really hot. It was thin and crispy which was nice. The sauce was a good amount as I hate overly sauced pizza. I don't have one near me but if I did I would come back to eat here again.

    Horrible

I ordered half bbq chicken half pepperoni and they sent me this small ass bull shit . I called back to get a remake and what happened I call bk 45 mins later to be told that it was not placed at all. Horrible customer service. I will not be ordering from this place again

Not only are the pizzas absolutely massive, but they're also incredibly delicious. The crust deserves a special mention, A+ all the way. It has the perfect texture and flavor and is good enough to eat on its own. Every bite was fantastic, and the quality really stands out. If you're a pizza lover, this place is a must-visit. We stopped in here for a weeknight late bite when our options were somewhat limited. Thankfully at that hour, street parking in NoDa wasn't too bad, we got a spot just off the main drag. Slices here are GIGANTIC, one is easily about 3 standard slices of pizza, or two normal NY size slices. We got a pepperoni and a cheese. The pepperoni had nice kick to them and the cheese was a high quality. You had to let the pepperoni grease drain onto your plate a bit, but that is expected. The thing that makes both slices so good is the garlic butter bath all around the crust that you can see them doing in the kitchen. Not just that, but the texture in the crust will make even non-crust lovers think again. You're basically left with big doughy garlic butter breadsticks. Definitely a 5 on taste. My only complaint, and I'm sure it is partly by design to keep people from staying long, the stools you can sit on to enjoy your pizza inside the restaurant are THE WORST I have ever placed my derrier on. Even for 15 minutes, it wasn't just uncomfortable, it was painful. It took me a couple blocks to start walking correctly again. Might as well just get rid of them and have people stand to eat. Terrible. Almost knocked a star off for it, that bad. Regardless of the world's worst stools, I would come back for more pizza and just plan on not eating it there.

The atmosphere feels very Manhattan, New York--moody R&B with the bass turned up, soft dim lighting, and intimate curtained spaces create a cozy vibe. And then there's the kale salad. After hearing all the hype, I decided my curiosity was worth risking my lactose intolerance. No regrets. In fact, if I ever had to choose a death row meal, this salad would be on the menu. It's crunchy, toasty, creamy, and brightened with just the right hint of lemon. It's an absolute must-order. And when you get to the crust of your pizza, do yourself a favor and use it to soak up every last bit of that dressing. The pizza is also very very good. Bird has developed a wonderful deep flavor of crust. And the tomato sauce has this great acid where if you end up taking some leftovers home, it develops into this beautiful umami that makes you question. Recognized by The New York Times as one of the best pizza spots in the U.S., the hype is definitely real... even if we're still debating whether it was two-months-in-advance real LOL. It is a small cute spot inside, NYC style. Some people don't like sitting so close to other customers, but I enjoy small intimate restaurants. As for the food - pizza was delish (love that they have beef pepperoni), but the viral kale Ceasar and buttermilk ice cream on the olive oil cake stole the show. I will say review that bill well once it arrives. We saw we were overcharged for drinks, our waitress put the tab of our next door table on ours. We did go back inside before leaving to get it straightened out, and they were nice about it. Service is good but a little slow when it came to getting things like extra napkins, drinks, etc.....and I could tell some waitresses were a bit more attentive to their tables vs. others. Definitely would return, but maybe more so just to pick up a pizza at the outside window and take it back home.

The reason we came in to order to-go was because we weren't happy with the Door-Dash delivery of same last time. The pizza just didn't travel well. This time with our to-go order it traveled a bit better and was fresher. We think it would be even better (4 stars) if we dined in. We also had a nice salad of mixed greens with dried cherries and the like, but it didn't come tossed. The dried cherries were in one corner, the onions in another ... you get the idea. Tossing would have made it easier to eat on-the-go. But the service people were very nice, and the store was clean and roomy with a semi-open kitchen. We'd give this place another try next time when dining in.

The waiter was efficient, not friendly but not unfriendly either, just doing his job pretty much. Would have been nice to have him check on us once or twice but again not the biggest deal. The pizza: my son really enjoyed it and gave it a 5/5 and hubby ranked it a 3/5. He thought the crust was a tad too soggy. Side Caesar: 3/5 had some pieces of the lettuce that should have never made it in the salad and the dressing was just okay. Morty: also a 3/5. Too much arugula, we took some out and then seasoned the rest with s&p and some crushed red pepper flakes. It just lacked a depth of flavor and the bread and arugula overpowered it. The seasoning helped a bit. I even added garlic aioli based on a review I read on here but I didn't taste it. The pasta salad it came with also lacked flavor, though very green and appearing loaded with flavor it was not. And when eating it, the texture was very gummy. Didn't finish that. Overall, it was okay but I'm not likely to return just because there are better options based on the things we tried. But taste is subjective and it just wasn't our vibe today. But check it out for yourself because we only tried three things and the pictures of the other pizzas do look amazing. That is all!

Their patio is so fun, the street you overlook is pretty chill so there weren't a lot of cars or noise. The area has good enough traffic for decent people watching, that's always fun. Our server was so funny and cool. I wish I could remember his name, but he was having a good convo with the person I was with about basketball and it was just really nice. It felt like I was home on my couch hanging with friends. It's such a cool chill place. I loved the pizza, olives app and the old fashioned. It was nice to actually meet the owner too, he is the person who greeted us when we walked in and he was really nice. This place just seems like a good neighborhood spot. If I lived closer I'd probably go a lot more often. Great spot!!

Review for Pizza Baby…read more After a relaxing Vinyasa yoga class and sound bath at The Coterie Wellness one evening, I found myself hungry--and conveniently, Pizza Baby had just opened in the same complex. Perfect timing. Since it was still new, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and I decided to grab a table outside. The outdoor seating was lovely--relaxed, comfortable, and a great way to unwind after a wellness session. I'm a sucker for thin-crust pizza, especially when it's hand-tossed and thoughtfully prepared, so one item immediately caught my eye: the rosemary pizza with hot honey. Sold. I added Italian sausage to the pizza and paired it with a fresh green salad (I can never resist a good Green Goddess dressing). Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but the quality matched the cost--and I was genuinely pleased with my choices. The crust was thin and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the hot honey added just the right touch of sweetness and heat. This is definitely a place I'd return to--next time with friends--so we can share a few different pizzas and appetizers and really explore the menu. A few practical notes: * Parking is generally easy since the restaurant shares a lot with neighboring businesses in the complex * There are several nearby spots, including a wine bar and entertainment venues, which make the area feel lively * There was some early parking congestion when a nearby church held services, but the situation has since been addressed with signage and coordinated parking solutions It's nice to see businesses and community partners working together to make things run smoothly. There's also another location of Pizza Baby that I plan to visit, which speaks to how positive my first experience was. Bottom line: Great thin-crust pizza, pleasant outdoor seating, and a convenient stop after yoga or an evening out. A solid addition to Charlotte's growing food scene--and absolutely worth checking out. And if you're already in the area for a class or wellness session, it makes for the perfect post-workout reward.
