    Yeti Waffle Cone

Molly Moon's was highly recommended by our friend, so we stopped by the Madrona location. This location wasn't your typical ice cream shop. It's a micro shop - they use the front of a laundromat! I ordered the Yeti on a Waffle Cone. The sweet cream ice cream itself wasn't sweet, but the toppings were, especially the caramel. I really liked the thick, crunchy cone - it had a subtle fragrance!

Ice cream was incredible! Call me crazy for craving ice cream in the cold! I will recommend getting a single scoop because the portion size is really generous. Service was also really quick and insightful what combinations would go best together!

    BIRTHDAY CAKE SUNDAE ($7)

Oh, so good and huge scoops for the price! My friends got the single scoop to share and it was still too much. I got the BIRTHDAY CAKE SUNDAE because it sounded so interesting. Birthday cake ice cream with homemade cake donut and a lemon curd whip. It was a little on the sweet side but that's to be expected with all the stuff they put on there My only complaint was that there was only one girl working so there was quite a wait. She made the ice-cream as you ordered it and then paid so you did get it right away. The space is small but it does seem like this is a two person job.

You can't describe the Seattle ice cream scene without bringing up Molly Moon's, a truly iconic establishment in the area. With creameries across the Greater Seattle Area, this is one of the better places you can grab a scoop. This location is a hole in the wall and significantly smaller than the more iconic location in Capitol Hill. We went around closing time so unfortunately there weren't too many flavors available, but given the location's size, it wouldn't surprise me if this happens somewhat often. We opted for a scoop of the Yeti in a waffle cone and a scoop of the Vegan Chocolate Cake (a temporary seasonal flavor) in a bowl. There was one employee in the store who whipped us up the ice cream in a jiffy. The fact that it's really just a window on the sidewalk and lack of any seating make it an excellent option for those concerned with COVID who want to be in and out quickly. - The Yeti is Molly Moon's most popular flavor and for good reason. It features sweet cream ice cream mixed with caramel, homemade granola, and Theo chocolate bits. The creaminess of the ice cream makes it very rich and enjoyable and the little pieces of caramel, granola, and chocolate bits embedded within the high quality ice cream add a nice crunch, additional sweetness, and something to look forward to with every bite. The waffle cone was sweet and crunchy, but nothing special. - The Vegan Chocolate Cake is a limited edition seasonal flavor that we wanted to try to see how well Molly Moon's does vegan ice cream. This is one of two vegan flavors available (the other being the Vegan Coconut Chunk). Considering the limited amount of vegan flavors we didn't expect too much, but much to our surprise, the Vegan Chocolate Cake ended up being tasty. It really does taste like chocolate cake thanks to chocolate cake chunks peppered throughout the ice cream. It's almost as creamy as the Yeti we had and was sweet and crunchy, making for a really solid scoop of vegan ice cream. I do suggest those who haven't tried Molly Moon's before go to the Capitol Hill location as it is larger and offers the full experience, but if you can't make it there, this is not a bad alternative by any stretch. While there isn't any seating to enjoy your ice cream, it's perfect for grabbing a cone to-go. This is somewhere both dairy lovers and vegans (if you can deal with limited selection) can unite to enjoy a tasty dessert.

Its a go to spot if you're in Seattle for sure. I rode the bus 40 min to get this place and it is worth it. Its a hole in the wall spot and to say it's tiny is an understatement, I really don't think there could be more than a single person at a time. Now there are other Molly Moon's in the greater area but I was told to come to this one so I did. I had the cookie dough/melted chocolate with the waffle cone as you can see from the pictures. There is a small park just up the street with a few benches you can sit at and take your time enjoying your treat, highly recommend!

About a minute after getting my drink, I took a sip and was surprised that it was cold--not even lukewarm, but actually cold. I didn't go back to ask for a remake because there were several people in line behind me and I didn't want to wait. Instead, I ended up microwaving it when I got back to my Airbnb. The latte itself was decent and had a strong espresso flavor, but the mocha syrup was way too sweet for my taste. I think it would have been much better if it had been about half as sweet. The price was also pretty high for a 12 oz latte. The customer service was disappointing. The young woman who helped me came across as rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. That's especially unfortunate for a business located in the middle of a major tourist area. As for the drink, I'm not sure how a hot latte ends up being served cold, but it definitely shouldn't happen. I also sampled the tiramisu gelato, which was overly sweet and didn't taste very authentic. Overall, I regret spending the time, money, and calories here. There are too many great coffee shops in Seattle to settle for an experience like this.

So funny. The staff is kind and is more than happy to let you sample to your heart's desire. There is seating both inside and out. I am sure on summer evenings this place is insanely busy, but on a Monday at approximately 2PM, I didn't wait in a line at all. They had fun summer flavors such as apricot crisp, blueberry cheesecake, cherry chunk, and strawberry sorbet. I tried two different flavors, and both were delicious. Both flavors were extremely creamy, even the fruity flavored ones. I started with the strawberry sorbet. It was refreshing. The strawberry really shined through and was extremely fresh tasting. I feel like strawberry flavoring can sometimes come off as artificial, but I did not have that experience with this ice cream. The second flavor I sample, and my favorite one of the day was the honey lavender. It felt like you were walking through an organic lavender field. As always, cities have expensive ice cream, but I am just a girl, so I will get a sweet treat.
