We were really looking forward to breakfast at Mom's kitchen. Very cute little restaurant. I ordered 2 poached eggs, hashbrowns bacon and toast. My husband ordered chorizo breakfast. It wasn't very crowded. I received my order but no toast. I asked for toast and butter. They brought me a cold piece of toast. I asked for a warm piece of toast and butter. 10 mins later I got the warm toast but no butter. I asked for butter and they said they were out of butter. It's 10:30 in the morning and they are out of butter!! By the time I got my completed breakfast everything was cold. My husband breakfast wasn't that good either. Hashbrowns were cold and mushy. The good thing is I wasn't charged for my untouched breakfast. So disappointed. read more

Mixed feelings about Mom's Kitchen after my initial visit. Obviously it's a family owned restaurant with a nicely done interior and apparently loyal fan base. Walking in on Sunday morning at about 8am there was literally nobody here. Sticking to the power of their positive reviews, I didn't let that be a deterrent and stayed anyway! The service lacks greatly here, and that's without exaggeration! Upon being seated in an entirely empty restaurant, it took nearly 10 minutes before anyone came by to greet us. After taking the order, there were countless moments where coffee cups sat empty for 10 minutes at a time before anyone came to offer a refill. Toast was included with the entrees, and one side of toast came out with the order, and the other was nearly an additional 15 minutes later before arriving to the table. The food however is the positive side of the review! I ordered the Mom's Skillet which was a cast iron skillet with layered fresh hash browns, sausage, country gravy, and eggs softly scrambled! This dish was nicely proportioned, most likely more than two eggs, and sausage gravy that would be proudly served in the Deep South! The only problem with this dish is it was very bland! As much as I was in love with the gravy, it as well as the hash browns had zero flavor to it. I really was prepared for a excellent experience, but walked away slightly disappointed. read more

Went yesterday 10/27 12pm, service was all over the place from being seated and waiting for utensils and napkins to the servers not paying attention. I ordered the chorizo burrito like I did in my first review since i remember it being very good. Unfortunately this time it was lacking flavor, as you can see in the photos there's a big difference then from the first time I had it. I asked the server for green salsa and she bring out red salsa that was dripping all over the place. They also kept bringing drinks to our table which we advised them twice it was not for our table. Also we ordered the free biscuits and gravy from the Yelp check in and they charged us at the end having to remind them again to take it off the bill. There seems to be a lack staff communication and a lack of flavor in the food now. Don't think we'll be returning anytime soon. read more

Tried this small business today and loved it. As we walked in they greeted us swiftly, even though they were busy. We got our table pretty quick and they offered for us to try their Hibiscus tea they brewed all night. They gave us a few minutes to look over the menu as they brought us our drinks. The owner came over to talk to us and she is the sweetest lady ever, very personal experience. My boyfriend and I were searching for a breakfast place nearby and this popped up so we figured we'd give it a shot. The store is small, with a great atmosphere and ambience, my boyfriend called it "modern". Lol. I ordered the stuffed French toast and by the looks of it I was hesitant it would be just okay, it was incredible. The cream cheese inside was some berry cream cheese and it was soooo good and not overpowering of the French toast. The fruit ontop was fresh and delightful. My boyfriend got the orange juice, and the lady told us it was fresh squeezed. It may have been the best orange juice either of us had ever had. Lol! I would come here again! read more

We had such a great experience at Mom's Kitchen! As soon as we walked in with our two little ones, the staff was incredibly welcoming and got us seated right away. The place was nearly full, but that didn't affect the amazing service at all. What really stood out was how attentive and kind everyone was -- especially when my youngest was having a tough time. One of the staff noticed and brought over a fruit bowl without us even asking. That thoughtful gesture meant a lot. I really try to be understanding when it comes to dining experience, but I was appalled at the service received here. The goal was to enjoy a meal with my family before my mother leaves town, unfortunately that was not what happened. The food took 45 minutes from when we ordered, then when we got the food my eggs Benedict was missing.... Eggs... how do you forget eggs? A little confused, I proceeded to flag down the shift manager walking by because nobody really checked in on us for the 10 minutes after serving the food as I'm hunting for these 2 poached eggs that aren't present. The manager looks at my plate that has a sliver of egg yolk in the corner of the plate and proceeds to condescendingly gaslight me telling me there IS eggs on the plate. Now, astonished, after two more times telling her there is in fact not eggs on the plate she takes back her snarky remarks and rings me an EGGS Benedict with EGGS on it. Mind you the only service we are receiving is what is requested, she gets me my food in 5 minutes with soggy hash browns, and you guessed it, two poached eggs on my Benedict. Let me name about 5 more errors off the top of my head -the server brought my mother coke instead of coffee -we played the guessing game of food as the server doesn't even try to remember seat numbers -they proceeded to charge us for the eggs Benedict they managed to deliver without eggs then rudely tell me there wasn't eggs on it -they didn't even give me utensils back with the second Benedict order -the rest of the food was genuinely sub par whoever is the mom of moms kitchen would be disappointed in whatever this has turned into Genuinely take your money and cook food at your house this food you'd save yourself the headache that is mom's kitchen. By far the BEST breakfast I've ever had! From the second I stepped in to the second I stepped out of the restaurant, everything was PHENOMENAL. First off, Josh instantly welcomed us and invited us to sit anywhere we wanted. As he handed us menus, he asked if it was ok to start us off with waters. I love the efficiency. Also it's 90 degrees out, so that water was well appreciated! He then gave several suggestions since I have a diet restriction and he allowed me to substitute my eggs to a sausage patty. Once the orders were put in, he surprised us with some beans and chips! Totally not necessary, but they were the tastiest beans my party has ever tasted! Unfortunately they were out of sourdough bread and Josh quickly informed us/gave us other options to substitute it for and I'll be honest, it was the best thing to ever happen, because I chose an English muffin and it was perfectly buttered and came with homemade blueberry AND strawberry jam! For someone who isn't usually a fan of jam, my mind was blown! From there our orders flowed into our table and everything was incredibly delicious. We each got country fried steak and an order of tres leches waffles. Josh explained the difference between tres leches and dulce de leche and the. Asked if we'd like strawberries or bananas as a topping. After the meal, we asked for boxes and josh going above and beyond came back with two to go container options! He really does think of everything. Every single thing we ordered was beyond our expectations. My boyfriend and I have officially found the breakfast spot of our dreams. From the service, quality, and experience this is now our spot and we can't wait to share this spot with our friends. Pro tip: they have a half order of biscuits and gravy for free with check in on Yelp! Please don't forget to mention it. The biscuits and gravy is EPIC. Huge portion, rich gravy, and sausage pieces give it so much flavor. Lastly, join the rewards program!
