As a child, it was traumatizing. As an adult, it was frustrating, and painful. Dr. Alford, and his staff, provide an entirely different and welcoming approach. When I told the hygienist I wanted minimal polishing paste for the cleaning, there was no pushback, just a simple agreement, professional, no drama. When I mentioned that I did not want ultrasonic cleaning as it was very painful, I was told they already noted that in my chart, and the subject was immediately dropped without pushback. That was a first! Not only that, between the hygienist and Dr. Alford, my cleaning was so thorough that afterwards I couldn't feel any rough spots from my problem areas that get a lot of tartar! My teeth are also whiter than they've been in years. I'm still kind of amazed, because I'm used to LONG sessions, and having to live with sandy areas because that was "The best they could do without the ultrasonic." I am super grateful to finally have a competent dentist to go to where I feel comfortable, safe, and my concerns and wishes matter. Dr. Alford is easy to talk to and put me right at ease, as did his hygienist. I don't know if it's because this is a pediatric specialty office, but the entire staff is naturally kind and considerate. It definitely takes a lot of empathy and patience to work with kids! I used our dental insurance's website to find a local dentist and was pleasantly surprised when these guys said they could get us in the same week. We met first with the hygienist for X-rays and a cleaning. Then Dr. Jackie came in. She was nothing short of amazing. She was soooo good with my daughter and made sure she was comfortable the whole time. Unfortunately, an extraction and a few caps are in our future. I had crown work done that has caused ongoing discomfort and repeated issues. Crowns have come loose/fallen off, and I have difficulty flossing due to excess cement between and behind the teeth. After seeking a second opinion with new X-rays and a CBCT scan, I was informed there were concerns regarding the crown placement and cementing, including that one crown had been placed incorrectly. I was also informed that two root canals previously completed at Gentle Dental showed abscess/infection  and I was referred to an endodontic specialist for possible retreatment of work I had already paid to have done. I have spent months trying to resolve these issues directly with the office and resolution department. During the resolution process, I was presented with an agreement stating that in exchange for reimbursement, I would agree not to post negative reviews or pursue complaints with the Dental Board. This was difficult for me because the amount offered was far less than the estimated cost to correct the dental issues, including treatment estimates provided by their own office that were more than double the reimbursement amount offered. This entire experience has been physically, emotionally, and financially exhausting. I am still hopeful this matter can be resolved professionally and fairly.

Making an appointment is easy, and David on the front desk was extremely helpful and supportive in getting our records transferred from our prior dentists out of state. Lisa has done my cleanings, and she's friendly, careful, and thorough, providing feedback on what I'm doing right or need to improve. Dr. Futch spotted a tooth issue on my x-ray that my prior dentist missed, and it fixed a slight sensitivity I'd been having. They also did a whole mouth scan, which they use to track and compare changes over time. All in all, everything you want in a dental practice. Highly recommend.

Over the 10 days and 3 general dentists visits it took before I finally came to Dr Falke I'm not sure how many times I shattered dishes against the wall and chased my wonderful boyfriend who was just trying to help out of room. After trying to get in with more than a few oral surgeons that were at least 2 weeks out I got Dr Falke's office and the very nice receptionist said she could fit me in the next day (never could have imagined I'd jump for joy to get a dentist appointment.) After a traumatizing experience having a wisdom tooth pulled I was terrified to have another big molar extracted. But Dr Falke and his staff were so kind and patient with me it really helped take the edge off. Dr Falke has the BEST bedside manner...like the perfect balance of warm and casual, and confident and very skilled. I was surprised how quick he got that big tooth out. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Dr Falke that same day to see how I was doing and if I had any questions or concerns.
