This review is for delivery! We ordered the crispy basil chicken, crab rangoons, shishito peppers, artichoke salad, brownie, and butter cake. Everything was sooooo tasty. They even gave us an extra dessert as a thank you which was totally unexpected but very much appreciated. The chicken was full of flavor and they dressed the rice in the perfect amount of sauce. The crab Rangoon have a spicy jalapeño sauce and come on a bed of greens. The shishito peppers have a sauce too - couldn't tell what it was, but we enjoyed it. The artichoke salad was a surprise - lots of different flavors and textures. All three desserts were sooo yummy!!!! We will be ordering again soon!

Came here for brunch and was very happy with the twist on some classic breakfast favorites. I got an eggs Benedict with a hollandaise sauce that had a bit of a kick and jalapeño bacon. It was delicious. Definitely basic restaurant vibe but not in a bad way. Not to frilly just is what it is and very good. All staff were highly attentive and quick. Will definitely be coming back.

This restaurant is kinda between a sports bar and regular restaurant vibes. Staffs are very friendly and they love to engage in a small talks with all guests here. Much to my surprise, the chef herself also came out and serve foods to her customers. Definitely top notch customer service!!! I ordered their bloody Mary, patatas bravas, and Feb 2026 burger. Bloody Mary was delicious and refreshing with a hint of pepper. Their take on patata bravas also bold. Sauce is zesty and tangy with savory taste. Definitely a good appetizer. Feb 2026 burger is also too delicious. They mixed sambal (fresh chili sauce) into the burger sauce. Sambal is typically has bold flavor but for some reason they balanced the flavor!!! Definitely the best restaurant I visited in South Boston area.

From the moment we walked into Moonshine 152, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for a perfect evening. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, from the lighting and music to the attentive service and final photo as we walked out the door. Let's talk about the food because wow. The Soft Shell Crab Bao was a showstopper. Lightly fried with that ideal crunch, the pickled veggies and aioli brought balance, depth, and pure magic in every bite. Each flavor married the next well. Then came the Grilled Fish Tacos and Birria Style Short Rib Tacos both absolutely to die for. The birria tacos were juicy and deeply flavored, with the consomme adding a bold richness that lingered perfectly. The fish tacos were fresh and kinda zesty, topped with avocado and a slaw that made every bite feel like summer. The Jalapeño Crab Rangoon was PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Dirty Fried Rice with Grilled Shrimp was one of my favorite dishes of the night. Every forkful had soul. The Cajun spices, caramelized onions, and juicy shrimp packed a dynamic punch. The I elevated by adding extra scallions. Each bite reminded me of the home cooked meals I grew up with in a kitchen where flavor was never optional. We also had the Korean Fried Chicken Wings and let me just say, yummalicious. Crispy on the outside, tender inside and unforgettable. And do not even get me started on the Ricotta Bruschetta . The grilled bread was buttery and crispy, and the toppings were fresh heirloom tomatoes, basil oil, and balsamic glaze. It was one of those "close your eyes and moan" dishes that you never want to end. What took this night from amazing to extraordinary was Chef Asia Mei herself. When your meal is delivered by the very hands that crafted it, there is a connection that forms between the plate and your heart. You feel the love, the intention, the joy of a chef who truly cooks with purpose. As someone raised in a home where good food and dessert were acts of love, and where my father, a gifted baker and cook, filled our home with unforgettable flavors, this meal literally felt like heaven had loaned him back to me for one night. Chef Asia, thank you. For filling my belly and warming my soul in one visit. Your flavors live in a lane of their own, and your presence elevates the experience. Moonshine 152 is now on my frequent flyer list. It's been a very very long time since I've been to the same restaurant two days in a row. And to all my fellow Yelp Elites, get there. Bring your appetite, your appreciation for creativity, and prepare for absolute perfection from start to finish.

Came here with my daughter and her friends-realized as we neared the restaurant that I've been before, probably 8 years ago before we left Boston. It's held up! The food was delicious! Asian fusion- my favorite dishes were the mochi pancake special, the tilapia and the Dubai chocolate waffle dessert. The latter had all my favorite flavors. Service was very friendly, atmosphere funky and fun. And they gave us a free extra dessert. Great place!

I love that moonshine is critically acclaimed, yet is casual and extremely unpretentious. I would return for the vibes alone. Chef Asia's art is hung around everywhere and staff is very friendly, which makes for a homey and cozy feel. Chef Asia herself brought out our food, which is top tier hospitality. The food is amazing too. Crab Benedict is a solid choice- decent amount of crab, eggs aren't poached but aren't greasy, and the English muffin is very fluffy. I'm glad I got the hollandaise on the side as they brought out a sizeable amount, and it's quite spicy. It also didn't strike me as a traditional hollandaise. The chicken and waffles are superb. 4 entire drumsticks (bone in), a small Belgian waffle, deliciously coated in syrup... and yet not too heavy. Will be returning for sure!!

You might want to get reservations for this place! We came in a Sunday night and it was busy. I started off with a Warm Cider Rum drink, great drink for the fall. For a Starter we got the Jalapeno Crab Rangoons, very, very good! Also, got the Moonshine's Boston's best Buttermilked fried Chicken wings! Living in Nashville, we know how it should taste. Bring it on! Ok... she Nailed it!!! Out standing Asia, light batter, and the chicken was soooo tender! She knows the key to great fried chicken! On to the entree... I got the November's 2024 VIP Burger of the month! Ok, this was crazy good! She creates a new burger every month. This one had Thanksgiving in every bite! Chef Asia, thanks for serving us, you are Awesome! Cheers! Also, take some time and look around at the art work that Chef Asia does! It's also for sale.

    Are they a kosher restaurant?

I'm unsure if it is kosher. However the service there is amazing, so I'm sure if you call they'd be happy to answer that for you.

Staff was very knowledgeable about each entree, and provided information about how entrees were cooked and served. They also had a "halvsies" menu of half-size portions (ideal portions for one or two diners). Started with the Mama Chang Pork Dumplings, which were excellent, and the cauliflower appetizer (a little spicy, but very good). Liked the udon noodles with chicken and bok choy, although a little less red chili pepper would have suited my tastes better (good for those who like a bit of zing to their food). The lettuce wrap chicken was well worth the 20-minute wait. Finished with the lemon ginger mousse, which was very light. The fortune cookie on the mousse was fresh and crisp, so good that some thought it might have been baked at Joanne Chang's Flour Cafe and Bakery. The finish was extra nice, with a red lucky envelope with chocolates accompanying the check, an orange at each table (signs for good fortune in the New Year), and red decorations hanging in the restaurant to create a festive setting. Good choice for the start of the New Lunar Year of the Fire Horse!

When we walked into Legal, the place was dead, the music was awful, and the vibe was just not there. So we sat at the bar and grabbed a drink while searching for a place to get an actual dinner where we could find last-minute reservations. Shojo in Chinatown came up with great reviews and after looking at the menu and seeing that we could get a reservation, we headed over. It was a short walk from the Ritz and Chinatown is just such a fun place with great energy. When we walked in, we knew we had made the right call and were easily able to switch our reservation from a table to bar seats, which is always an added bonus. The place is low lit and the music is on the louder side, but nothing was excessive to the point that we didn't enjoy our time there. We ordered a variety of drinks while there - a Toki Highball draft, a spicy tequila drink with lemongrass, a few different types of Japanese whiskeys as well (they have a really extensive list). As far as food goes, they categorize their menu into Snacks, Baos, and Rice, Noodles, and Dumplings. There's a lot of vegetarian friendly options, which is always a plus for me. My highlights were the 7 vegetable stir fry, fried eggplant bao, edamame dumplings, and the Thai veggie spring rolls. The salt and pepper calamari was also really great. Everything was terrific and really unique. Service was good - not great, but they took notice of empty glasses and were quick to bring out food, so I have absolutely no complaints. Shojo is somewhere I'd absolutely return to when staying in the area, I'm really happy we all turned what would have been a very touristy, depressing experience into something with a WAY better vibe and time!

It's dark, energetic, and feels like you're stepping into a modern Shanghai cocktail lounge rather than a typical Chinese restaurant. It was busy but never felt overwhelming, making it a great spot for a group dinner or a night out. We decided to share just about everything on the menu, and that's definitely the way to experience this place. We started with the Tangerine Tuna, which was one of my favorite dishes of the night. The mandarin, peanuts, and spicy mayo gave it a bright, refreshing flavor that was different from the usual tuna crudo. The Spicy Salmon Puffs were another standout with a fun combination of crispy rice puffs, spicy salmon, and a touch of honey. We also ordered the Crab Rangoons, Scallion Pancake, Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, Wang Shou Wings, and Pork Belly Buns. The rangoons had a perfectly crispy shell with a creamy filling, while the scallion pancake disappeared almost immediately thanks to the house dipping sauce. The pork belly buns were rich and packed with flavor, and the wings had a unique dry spice blend with just enough heat to keep you reaching for another. For the larger plates, we shared the Dandan Noodles, House Fried Rice, Cantonese Fried Chicken, and the whole soy chicken noodle platter. The fried rice was probably the biggest surprise of the night. It's easy to overlook a fried rice on a menu this large, but it was incredibly flavorful and one of the dishes everyone kept going back for. The Dandan noodles were rich with a nutty sesame-peanut sauce and just enough chili oil to give them some kick. The Cantonese fried chicken was perfectly crispy without feeling greasy, and the soy chicken platter was ideal for sharing with the table. The cocktail program deserves a mention too. We tried the Paper Crane, Mr. H Mai Tai, and White Dragon before finishing the night with the Hibiki Harmony whiskey, which was presented in a really fun smoked tableside display that made for a memorable ending to the meal. The cocktails were creative without being overcomplicated and fit the vibe of the restaurant perfectly. Overall, Mr. H delivers more than just good food. The atmosphere, presentation, cocktails, and shareable menu make it a place that's meant to be experienced with friends. I'd recommend coming with a group so you can order across the menu instead of sticking to just a couple of dishes. It's not an inexpensive dinner, but for a special night out in the Seaport, I thought it was well worth it.

We shared a bunch of dishes: Krab Rangoon, Bang Bang Noodles, Cucumber Salad, Fried Rice, Soup Dumplings, Steak & Chicken Fingers. Everything was delicious. My top three favorite dishes were the Cucumbers, Fried Rice, and Chicken Fingers. The cucumber salad will rock your world! It's so fresh and flavorful with tang and schezuan. The Bang Bang Noodles and Fried Rice were excellent, a nice contrast between a cold and hot carb dish. The chicken fingers were golden and the steak was so tender. The only thing is that I wish the portions were a bit bigger, but you can always order more. We ended the night with their strawberry shortcake and ice cream which was fantastic. They brought out the food to us in 3 shifts so we had a great time trying everything and chatting in between sessions. Highly recommend this spot for a fun dinner with friends.

Will definitely find a reason to come back here soon. ------ FOOD: 1. [MUST TRY] STIR-FRIED CABBAGE W/ PORK BELLY (5/5) Presentation was phenomenal (in a clay pot with its own burner underneath to keep it hot). The portion was much larger than expected, and most importantly, it tasted incredible. Generous amounts of pork in this, and the sauce was authentic and addicting. 2. SCALLION CHICKEN (5/5) Another great choice. This was a huge portion with lots of tender chicken, and the scallion was present without being overpowering. 3. CRISPY BEEF WITH FRIED DOUGH STICKS (5/5) I was expecting Chinese you tiao but these were actually the small, ultra crispy manhua twists! Paired with the beef, this was a large and unique dish that I loved. The crispiness of the mahua made this a textural delight to eat. 4. MANGO SAGO DESSERT (5/5) Big portion, wonderful assortment of toppings including grapefruit, mango, sago, and popping balls over a creamy dessert soup base. 5. PEKING DUCK (4/5) I think I'm a tough critic since I just came back from Beijing and had so much Peking duck there. We ordered the half portion here and it had a generous amount of meat for not being the full portion. There were an assortment of accompaniments, including pineapple (new to me) and sugar (like the Beijing style) which were welcome additions. The wrappers were steamed well and didn't curl up on the edges. Overall this was a solid Peking duck, but the meat wasn't as standout as I was hoping. 6. STEAMED PORK SOUP DUMPLING (4/5) Solid soup dumplings. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely hit the spot. 7. SAUTEED PEA SPROUTS (4/5) Another solid classic. 8. PORK MEATBALL IN CRAB MEAT SAUCE (4/5) This was the most unique thing we ordered. I've never had a shi zi tou meatball with crab meat sauce before. The meatball itself was large (maybe size of a tennis ball), tender, and fatty, as it should be. It was then drowned in a generous lake of traditional crab meat sauce. If you're not a fan of crab meat then this might be a bit too fishy for you, but honestly it all combined surprisingly well and I grew to like this dish more and more with each bite. I wasn't the biggest fan to start, but by the end I wouldn't have minded getting another one! ------ AMBIANCE / ENVIRONMENT: * The interior has the classic Asian style of decor, but you can tell it was recently built / renovated because everything felt new and fresh. * The ambiance also felt more new-school luxurious vs. the typical Asian establishments that are more no-frills with as many tables packed in as possible * You're still somewhat close to the tables around you, but it's not overwhelming during lunch time and we still felt like we had enough space regardless * There's a bar area at the front of the restaurant and then a large, spacious dining room in the back * This is a great place for a date or a meaningful family gathering * Right outside is Boston Common, making this restaurant very well-located for lunch before or after a nice day in the park. While there's lots of parking around the park, a spot itself can be hard to come by, so your best bet might be to use the nearby parking garage instead ------ SERVICE: * Overall the service was great and quick. They did forget our tea, but when we asked for it later they apologized profusely and were quick to bring it out for us * This place fills up quickly so be sure to come early if you don't have a reservation or if you're a big enough group, make a reservation for your desired dining time

XO Seafood Udon: The restaurant specifically labeled it "wok-tossed," and it truly had a wonderful wok-hei鑊氣 (wok aroma), with an irresistible fragrance as soon as it arrived at the table. The XO sauce was extremely rich, sweet and umami, and the udon noodles were soft on the outside and bouncy on the inside; the sauce was glossy, smooth, but not greasy, allowing it to coat the noodles evenly and infuse them with flavor. The shrimp, squid, and scallops were all fresh and large, making for a very satisfying meal. The shrimp, in particular, were coated with a thin layer of starch before being pan-fried, adding layers of texture and locking in the juices. This plate removed the scallions and onions to suit my taste, and if you like spicy food, adding a little chili oil would greatly enhance the flavor. The restaurant had an elegant and refined ambiance, and the service was attentive, making it a very relaxing place.

WOW! An awesome experience!!! I went here for my birthday…read morewith my parents and boyfriend, and this had been on my want to go list for years, and I am so glad I can finally cross it off! When I made the reservation online I put that the occasion it was for was my birthday- I notice that most restaurants don't pay attention to this on OpenTable, but Fuji definitely did! We were seated quickly and with no issue at all, despite it being pretty crowded. The vibe was intimate and classy- a great spot for date night, or for dinner with your parents. At our table was a card (in the pictures) which was such a nice touch and was a great start to the meal. Our waitress was awesome, and it seemed like there was a floor manager too that was making sure everyone was happy. It felt like the staff truly cared and wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time and experience. Our waitress checked in on us multiple times, and was very helpful with the menu. Speaking of the menu, I was very pleased to see the amount of vegetarian dishes! You don't see that often at Japanese restaurants! For our appetizers we got the lobster Rangoon and spicy edamame. Technically the tofu is an app but you would never guess that from the portion size. The edamame were outstanding! They were spicy as expected and were so tasty. We demolished the whole bowl. The Rangoons were also amazing- the chunks of lobster were divine. I myself love lobster and crab Rangoons, so a combo?! Amazing. Both the edamame and lobster Rangoons are can't misses. For our entrees/ mains we got the crispy soy noodles, miss Waldorf roll, sweet potato roll, tofu, and fried rice. The miss Waldorf roll is amazing, and I can not wait to go back and get more sushi. Truly the best sushi I have had in boston. There are other upscale sushi restaurants I have been to that charge a pretty penny but taste like grocery store sushi. Fuji is not one of those- it was truly exceptional sushi. The sweet potato roll was also delicious! I am very picky about my sweet potato rolls and had one that I have dreamt about since I had it in 2022. I have finally found a sweet potato roll that matches my standards. The crispy soy noodles were also amazing! They reminded e of one of my favorite restaurants when I was a kid and it filled me with such joy to eat something with that flavor. The serving size was pretty big too, and they were not shy on the shrimp! Note though, they were a tad oily (I added a little bit of soy sauce to balance it out). The fried rice was also very good and tasted like a good bowl of comfort fried rice. My parents ate it with the tofu and liked it! The only dish I would want some change in is the tofu- it wasn't bad but compared to the other dishes it definitely lacked the flavor punch you get in the rest of the dishes. The sauce was okay with it. After dinner our waitress brought a slice of vanilla crepe cake and ice cream! This was such a nice touch and it was SO good!!!!! It was the first time I ever had crepe cake but I loved it! I'm not sure if they have a dessert menu or not (we weren't asked if we wanted to see one) but I would love to go back and get that cake again! Overall I am beyond happy that I picked this spot for my birthday- I had an amazing experience and amazing food. Will definitely be back!

This place is popping! Even though it was later in the evening, the restaurant was still really full. However we didn't have to wait too long to get seated. I loved the decor in here, such neat details and even a column with a dragon on it! So cool. It's a dark restaurant so it was hard to read the menu, but otherwise, it's a very cool vibe here and feels very lounge-y. Our server was awesome, he was friendly and explained the restaurant style to us - it's like tapas, you order a few items to share and recommended 2 - 3 items per person would be sufficient. It was only 2 of us and we shared 3 items total, and that was more than enough. We apparently arrived so late that our server informed us that we only had a short time before the kitchen was closing for the night. But he said that he would return before the kitchen closed in case we wanted to order additional menu items. We were intrigued by the Japanese/Peruvian fusion menu and tried a few things: Kuromitsu Brussel Sprouts Spicy Salmon Fritas Bo Bo Chicken I was most excited about the Bo Bo Chicken a it had a sichuan chili oil and I love spicy, but it was not spicy at all (to me). But the flavor was really good. My favorite was the Brussels sprouts. I loved the char on them and the ginger black honey on it was so good. I don't eat salmon, but my friend said the Salmon Fritas was great and really enjoyed them. I would say this was the best meal we had on our trip!

It took some time for the waiter to come by and we were ready to order as soon as he came by. Got drinks and some food. Surprisingly the food came out before the drinks. Everything was great however.
