Moore was suppose to put in a 21 SEER HVAC system for me. Originally I sought out an 18 SEER system and then called them telling them I was going to go with another company. They didn't want to lose my business so offered to upgrade it to a 21 SEER system so I agreed and unfortunately didn't have them put it in the contract. In addition, other heating companies automatically give you the $3,000. rebate that Sonoma Clean Energy offers but they just provide the paperwork. I trusted them bcause I liked James their sales rep. In the end, they put in a system that didn't even meet the 18 SEER requirement for the rebate. So besides losing out on $3,000. my system is not 21 SEER so I am spending more money each month for heat. I plan to write to the agency that oversees their license and perhaps contact a news agency. read more

We are very disappointed in Moore Home services. They sent out Joe and he did not explain anything to us and did not expedite the parts for our hot water heater that was under warranty so we had to wait through the holidays without hot water. New remodel and AC wasn't working. The contractor who did the work had not wired the AC unit correctly. I called Moore Home Services and Ryan and Ira came promptly and completely fixed the wiring. Today was Moore Home Service Day for my Plumbing inspection, water heater inspection and Gas furnace inspection. I decided to have my water heater replaced as it's around 14 years old and I want to get in front of California's upcoming ban on new gas water heaters in 2027. Both of the plumbing inspection technicians Adrian & Miguel were fantastic. They worked efficiently. Miguel gave me an initial estimate which was higher then I expected, then came back to me later and told me he talked with the Company about lowering the cost since I'm a Club Member and a good customer. They agreed to lower it by $1500! I was thrilled to hear that. Then was told they could get the new water heater installed today! So in about an hour 2 new Installer Technicians, John and Devon showed up with the new water heater. They also worked efficiently and had that beautiful new water heater installed perfectly. They paid great attention to detail and explained everything to me. I've been a long time customer of Moore Home Services and have never been disappointed. They go above and beyond every time. Next year I'll be replacing my 10 year old furnace again to beat the mandate. read more

We used Moore in 2021 to install a new HVAC which has been serving us well ever since. We took them up on an offer to service this HVAC which found that maintenance and improvements were needed. We joined their membership program for discounts and got the maintenance work done same day. We then took them up on their free plumbing assessment as part of membership. My husband built the majority of our house so understands these systems and can assess accuracy of recommendations. The plumbing assessment was thorough and spot on and identified an urgent need to replace our 40 yr old water heater (easy assessment!). We spent time researching solutions, talking with their advisor Ray both on the phone and onsite, and a week later their team Alex and Devin installed a new water heater, including a new tricky gas line install. All individuals were professional with quality work and guidance. Their solutions are solid, not temporary, and work as hard as they do. Wow! Jessie and Joesiah arrived on Thursday and thoroughly checked out my heat system, including ensuring that there were no leaks under the house. It was determined that the motor controlling the airflow was not functioning. Jessie ordered the part and came back on Saturday to install and I was back up and running in 30 minutes, well two days and 30 mins, but faster than I expected. The technicians are unfailingly pleasant and work hard to please. I will say that the call center is the weak link. I generally hold at least 10 minutes to reach an operator. This changed in the past several years and is not a welcome change. Before, the calls went directly to the company and appointments were much easier to schedule. The company seems to have outgrown its technician staff. I waited four days for the "emergency" service. Management should definitely look at their staffing levels. read more

Scott H. was very informative with every finding he had & communicated all the various options we could take. We've had a good experience with Moore in the past but not this time unfortunately. We had a routine hot water service/descaling (our hot water heater was working just fine, just needed routine maintenance). The employee was nice and everything seemed to go okay but after he left the water in the house was sputtering and hammering. I checked the hot water heater and it was spraying water into the garage. I called Moore to have someone come back and fix it and after being on hold for 15 minutes I was told someone would "probably" be able to come at some point that day after theyve finished with their other appointments...as water is spraying into my garage, caused by their mistake. I had to call my husband to come home from work so he could fix the problem to prevent our garage from getting water damaged and so I could use the water in my house that day. Really disappointed in how they handled the situation. read more

I looked them up to get a quote, and they were much more expensive than other options, so we went with another company. Now I keep getting junk mail from them. That's pretty normal, but these guys send plastic cards out for their junk mail! I am not sure how that's even legal, but I will NEVER use them for anything just because of that. I had the pleasure of having my furnace serviced by Abdullah this morning with Freddie apprenticing. These guys went above and beyond to figure out why my furnace kept turning on and off. They checked my attic, they monitored gas flow, they looked and cleaned the duct. In the end, I got good recommendations a cleaner furnace and hopefully a reduction in my gas bill due to their efficiency. In addition. Freddie offered to take out my trash bins for me and broke down all the boxes in my garage while the testing was going on. These guys made my day! Well pleased. read more

I called to get someone to diagnose why our thermostat and heater was not working and to see if we were still under warranty from the new heater being installed in 2020. The customer service rep was very helpful and clear on the phone and was able to get me a same day appointment. Jeff came out, looked at the thermostat and then checked the heater out, and finally diagnosed that we had a faulty thermostat. Moore Home Services covered the cost of the new thermostat they replaced, and we were only charged a fee for labor. I'd recommend this company anytime and we will use them again as needed. 4.5 stars - customer service and responsiveness 1 star - competitive pricing I have used Moore for several years and they have always been very responsive, but somewhat expensive. Recently, we had a need for a new hvac unit, and asked Moore to provide an estimate. Their bid ,while prompt, was 50% to 80% ABOVE the other estimates, which was shocking. The tech kept calling and trying to sell me their services which was nearly double the lowest bid and over $4,000 higher. I no longer feel I can no longer trust Moore to provide competitive pricing. read more

I had our furnace and ducts replaced and a/c added last year for $23k. I referred 2 friends who also spent over 20k each. I had a plumbing inspection. Tech found a joint with a drop of water under house. I never got a quote response. I called to get quote Agent sent receipt for inspection. Called back and was stunned by $1445 quote to replace 3feet of pipe. I asked about getting some relief for the $65k I and my referrals spent. Overpriced! They said it was firm. I will not pay this crazy price for a small job.I will hire someone for half! Poor follow up and I don't blame Moore for not calling with this Incredibly high quote. Our annual propane gas-powered forced air furnace was serviced by Sean C, who was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He did an 18-point inspection and only found one issue with our 12-year old furnace. He recommended that we consider replacing the igniter which was still working but below spec and would need replacement in the future. Given our remote location on the Central Coast (near Gualala, CA), we opted for replacement and he had the needed component on his truck. At the end of his visit we were provided with a very detailed report of the inspection, with many color photographs, which they will keep on file for the next technician to review before our next annual inspection. Sadly this could have been a 5 star rating but the following occurred. Came out for a free bid on a new HVAC system adding A/C. Tech was here a long time, spent extended period of time looking inside the furnace. Gave his bid and left. 2 hours later, as my home began to feel cold, noticed the thermostat was blank. No heat. Called the company twice. After repeated long holds and having to ask for management, I was told there was no after-hours tech and I'd have to wait until 10am-812pm the next day. It was to be a stormy cold night. I had a fully functioning furnace when he arrived and one that was shut down when he left! They have lost this 22k job due to one tech's negligence. Mistakes happen, but failing to remedy the issue properly is another. It's clear to me that this is a company that does not value their customers and can take or leave 22k. Good thing I have 4 other company's bids, one who will get my business. Thank goodness for Google. Furnace door was not properly put back on, leaving the system non-operational. It took me all of a few seconds to secure the door properly and voila, system functioning again! Manager called me the next day. After giving a few bogus excuses like the weather, techs out sick,(at 4:48 when I called, the tech who came out to give the quote should have come back out to fix his mistake) call center couldn't trouble shoot, I asked for his call back number. He was going to provide it but stopped, said he could text it instead. No shocker, no text and no number provided! (Text just arrived a couple minutes after posting this portion of the review.........)He further said he was "ok" with me deciding to go with another company and had seen the yelp review and was wanting to see what he could do. The ONLY reason he called was ultimately to see if I'd take down this review. The experience is only getting worse. Own the mistake, offer a real solution and then follow through..none of which was done. read more

I have been doing business with Moore Home Services for many years. The people they have sent to my home have always been extremely courteous and friendly. They are very knowledgeable and helpful, and they always solve my problem. I cannot over emphasize their courteousness and knowledge level. When they come into my home, they always wear booties over their shoes which I greatly appreciate. Last week our air conditioner stopped functioning. They sent a technician named Steven Herrick to our house on a Saturday (at no extra charge). This young man has been in the business for 14 years and he was obviously an expert. He educated my wife and I about our problem and gave us several options to fix the unit. He presented us with the bare minimum cost to repair our problem, and then he educated us about an additional part we could install that would likely extend the life of our 22 year old outdoor AC unit. We chose to install the additional part based on his explanation. He also educated us about a maintenance agreement for that saved us almost $ 400 on the service call for that day. The maintenance agreement provides two visits per year for preventive maintenance that they automatically schedule, I do not need to call them, they call me to schedule it. In addition, when we eventually need to replace our outside unit, the $ 20 per month maintenance fee will be credited to us on the purchase of a new unit. And on top of that, we get priority response during busy time periods because we have the monthly maintenance agreement. In today's business world, I am usually not completely satisfied with the service I receive from vendors; I find them lacking in some area. I have always been 100% satisfied with my 6 or 7 experiences with Moore Home Services, including the installation of my new heating unit a couple of years ago. I appreciate this company and the service they provide to me and my family. I highly recommend you give them a call if you need the services they provide. read more

Today Nick from Moore'S came so inspect our furnace and vents. Lauren called us a day in advance as a courtesy and then on the day of to confirm Nick's arrival time, which was as expected and on time. He did a thorough inspection of our vents, thermostat and of the furnace. He found a unattached pipe underneath the house which he reconnected. He thoroughly explained the conditions and concerns. Afterwards he gave us an idea of improvements that could be added to help with the cooling and ducts and vents. From the initial scheduling of his visit, to the courtesy calls, to the actuall visit by Nick D' Angelo today, we could NOT BE MORE PLEASED OR SATISFIED! WOW! I am so impressed with the Moore Home Services. They came out to service the air conditioner. Which I should mention, they did not install. I want to give high praise to Arlo, their service tech. This gentleman went above and beyond what I could ever expect for my repair needs. Arlo put more time and effort into my repair than I could ever imagine ANYONE doing. Our household is very grateful. Thank you to MHS in a big way, and you have my business for life. We bought a yearly membership(?) at the time we had our serve done, not before, and it ended up saving us hundreds of dollars just with that service alone. We will have our heater, A/C, and water heater maintenance done within the next 12 months, and then the savings will really add up. Outstanding! I just bought & they installed a Mitsubishi Mini Split Heat Pump system for our house. It both heats & cools our two rooms, is unbelievably quiet and is warranted for 12 years. Our bid & eventual contract was estimated, sold and expedited by Derrick and Eric Murry The installers, led by Zack Ford, assisted by Joe Brummell and trainee Jeremy were excellent and meticulous in their work. The whole process was excellent, great price and quality work and materials. The Mitsubishi units are very energy efficient & only require a single 20 amp 240 volt circuit. read more
