I Ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was ice cold when I took my first bite. ( not room temperature but ice cold.)They brought me out a new one. It was barely room temperature. At that point I just picked at my daughters left overs. What was even more disappointing was that even though the chicken was ice cold, it was fully cooked which tells me that their food is pre cooked and not made fresh. Shortly after I gave up on my meal, They brought me a refill on my drink and there was white goop all over the rim of the glass and floating in the ice tea. Inside was cool but loud and the flashing lights in the trees kept bugging my eyes. The waiter was nice and checked on us often. We ordered a blooming onion which had a long hair in it. I got a chicken sandwich which tasted over fried and oily, my girlfriend got a burger that claimed to be shredded steak and it was like a frost bitten beef patty. She actually didn't eat any of it and the waiter was nice enough to take it off the menu. For the quality of the food, it was over priced. Maybe this is a good place to stop in to try some drafts at the bar and check out the decorations, and keep on walking down the strip. read more

Visited on June 29 and this time the service was slow as molasses. We just arrived to LG and we were hungry and it took them forever just to bring us our waters. Then it took the guy forever to take our order. We were going to order those pulled pork nachos that we enjoyed last time but we didn't. We had dinner reservations at Mario's 5 hours later, so instead of getting an appetizer with our order, I ordered the buffalo chicken quesadillas with salad and my wife ordered a burger and fries. Nothing special just meh. It's a tourist trap and mainly a place for little ones. Go up the street. Plenty of other places to choose from. read more

Extremely poor service and rude server. - Waitress set us down at a dirty table - When we asked the waitress to wipe down the table she used a water soaked rag and left water droplets all over the table - We asked her if the table could dried off, she proceeded to hand us a rag for us to dry it off. - Waitress responded to "Thank you" with "Yeah..." frequently. Food was of terrible taste. - My sirloin tips tasted more like meatloaf (way overcooked, very poor seasoning, meat was extremely tough). - My mother ordered crab cake, after one bit she refused to eat them (they were really freezer burnt). read more

This place was suggested to us by a friend. It was very kid friendly. They had a 40 min wait but took our cell number and texted us when our table ready which was a huge plus. The children also loved looking at the animals and light effects inside the restaurant. The only thing I didn't like was the beer selection as they only had craft beers and no generic ones on tap or in bottles. read more

So I took my family here on August 2nd based on the other reviews on this site, and I couldn't believe how off base the reviews truly were. One person was right, when he/she said it is an poor man's Rainforest Café. Sure the kids were into the scene and the waiters were accommodating, but the food was awful. Our food came within 5 minutes of ordering it which indicates it was pre made and laying around for quite some time. My wife had the bbq shrimp skewers. It was also obvious the shrimp was boiled then lathered with bbq sauce, then thrown on the grill for 3 minutes. She barely ate it. I had the short rib, which at first seemed ok and edible, but as I kept eating it the texture and taste got weirder and weirder as If I was eating an old shoe with tons of bbq sauce. Like almost every other restaurant in lake George, they had Kraft Mac and Cheese for the kids. Its amazing to me how I spent 8 dollars on Kraft mac and Cheese when it costs like $2 a box in a store. read more

We've been eyeing this place for a couple years. It's very eye-catching with a nice name. It's situated right in the heart of Lake George Village, towards the end of the shops before the new hotel, it can be missed by those that don't travel that far. For those that do venture to it, the outside will grab your attention, not just with the fun & colorful sign, but also the ambient sound effects of a rain forest that play. You can sit outside, but it's definitely nothing special. Inside, however, it's a nice experience. It feels a little like a mini Rainforest Cafe. It has the sound effects of the rainforest with the decor between an Adirondack & rainforest theme. The food has very similar offerings to its sister location: Adirondack Brew Pub. They offer a lot of beer on tap that's all Adirondack Brewery, plus Moose Wizz which is their own in-house root beer which is a couple steps up from A&W and Mug. Food was above average burgers. The fries, unfortunately, were not fresh cut, but instead beer battered frozen. They were still good, but just not exceptional. I would recommend it as a place to try and I enjoyed the atmosphere and food. They also have a mini gift shop with some nice shirts. read more

If you except the moose tooth grill for what it is, an inexpensive, family friendly, basic food restaurant with a little bit of Lake George schmaltzy atmosphere, it's a good place to come. We ordered the blooming onion, which was excellent, a taco dish which was outstanding, Mac and cheese and a bacon cheese burger which were above average, and a fisherman's platter which was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The menu isn't very big, but everyone in the family was able to find something that they liked. The atmosphere is good for families. It has a little rain forest thing going on, but it's not over powering or overly obnoxious. The only real negative was that it was very warm inside the restaurant. It was a 90+ degree day, and we would have appreciated some cool air. read more

Cute atmosphere, though quite loud with animal sounds, and "thunder storms". Their home brewed root beer was good, but not fantastic (sweet without a lot of root flavor). Menu was limited. Burgers are best bet- my teenaged son liked his, and the portion of onion rings was large. My husband liked his pulled pork, but it was skimpy on the pork. I felt the same about my braised tips. Average to low pricing for the area, plus parking fees. A big plus is that it is easily accessible from the northern villages without having to go through Lake George traffic. If you are in the beautiful town of lake George you must visit Moose Tooth Grill. The service was wonderful and the food was finely prepared. The only negative about this restaurant, was one of their video graphics in which mimics the sound of a thunderstorm and that came as very startling. This made it very difficult to order. We were already an overwhelming party of 14, but most importantly, the staff was so accommodating and knowledgeable about Celiac disease and gluten free food preparation. My 4yr old son has it, and the waiter could not have been more friendly and helpful, and even stopped me from ordering something for him that I stupidly assumed would be gluten free (the burger). Even before we went on our trip, I had emailed the restaurant about his dietary concerns, and they called me back very quickly to assure me they could accommodate his needs. Happy to write the first review of this restaurant! My husband, kids, and I took an impromptu vacation to Lake George this weekend and ended up eating here two nights in a row. This place is GREAT for families... the decor is awesome. You know the Rainforest Cafe? Picture something like that, but depicting the woods. A big bear greets people who enter and occasionally says funny stuff... animal noises come from the speakers throughout the restaurant... the kids loved this place and begged to come back the second night. The kids menu has several choices, and my children really enjoyed what they ordered. The grownups had nothing to complain about either. My husband and I started off by ordering drinks-- he had one of the many beers they brew on the premises, and I had a glass of a local Adirondack chardonnay. Both were excellent. We both ordered burgers which were delicious... mine had bacon and onion straws on it... yum!!! I liked how you could substitute a side salad instead of french fries too. We did this and thought the salad was very tasty and fresh. One last thing-- the place is very CLEAN. So are the bathrooms. That scores big points with me. read more

Rude and unwelcoming manager. We are here on a quick vacation and stopped in because it's near our hotel. When we walked into the restaurant, the bartender who said she was the manager gave us an attitude when we asked for a table of 8 by rolling her eyes and telling us it would be 15min to be seated when they had one third of the restaurant. Completed disgusted by this type of service. I asked the manager why the wait was 15min when clearly there were tables empty to accommodate 8people, she claimed because they needed to cleaned them. (During my observation, the tables were clean). I even offered to clean the tables. Do not recommend this place due to poor service! read more

Do not eat here. I ordered the maple fried chicken and there was barely any meat and the fried part was quite hard. It was listed as $13.99 and said it came with a side. When I asked the waitress what my side options were she listed a few and I picked sweet potato fries. They were room temperature when I got them. When we got the bill I was charged extra for the fries. The waitress claims to have told me they were extra but I would have heard her and chosen something different. No one else at the table heard her either. Just a bad experience. My cousin also was not happy with her salad and had to have them bring her more vegetables. I've eaten at a few places in lake George and had good to great experiences. This was not one of them. read more

One in our party ordered nachos but they were out of salsa, and server never told us until after the order arrived. What? Big deal was made of home brewed root beer but it was flat. Came here with a friend to Lake George for vacation. We visited this place because of the ratings. My friend ordered the burger and the tomato was rotten and staff didn't bother in giving a discount and made him pay full price even though he refused to get another burger.
