OVERALL (4.5/5): I'd never been to Encino, but I'm willing to go to the end of the earth for a good waffle, so here we were. The three of us came around 1:45 PM on a Sunday and it was full, but we didn't have to wait. Fortunately, the waffles lived up to my very high expectations, and I had a great time! The menu is huge, so there's definitely something for everyone--even for those looking for something healthy! FOOD: - Farmer's Omelette (4.5/5) - This three-egg omelette came with spinach, mushrooms, and a lot of goat cheese. It was large and very filling! The omelette tasted pretty light and bland, but nothing a little hot sauce couldn't fix. It came with an awesome salsa verde that was unexpectedly spicy and it went SO well together. Omelettes also come with a side of a waffle (or potatoes or fruit but you should get a waffle), so it's a lot of food for around $12. - Plain Waffle (5/5) - I got this on the side with my omelette and I feel like I owe the waffle its own review. It was light, crispy, and just bomb af. You can literally hear the crispiness when you cut into it. I didn't even need any of the butter, since the waffle itself was so egg-y and butter-y. Definitely get this!! - Cappuccino - A friend got this, but I thought it was worth mentioning that this was actually the ugliest cup of coffee I had ever seen. Like, hilariously ugly. SERVICE (4/5): - Our waitress seemed...confused. A friend asked if she could get a half order of waffles + half an omelette, and the waitress gave a very convoluted "yes." But once the food came, we were told that they didn't do half orders. So I didn't know what was going on, but we had waffles so whatever. - They come to check on you pretty frequently! - The food comes out super quickly. AMBIANCE (4/5): - No complaints. - You can sit inside or outside. - It's in a huge plaza with lots of shops to walk around in, so even if you do have to wait, it wouldn't be too bad. read more

More Than Waffles is by far one of my favorite breakfast spots in LA. It's family-owned, and such a cute little place! It's a hidden gem in the bottom floor of a small shopping mall, but it's constantly packed with people. I've been here a dozen times and bring new people with me constantly. You can't go wrong with literally any of the food options. My absolute favorite is the Banana Nutella waffle. They also offer some outdoor dining during COVID. More Than Waffles has been our favorite place for breakfast/brunch/lunch here in Encino for a long time. I love the waffles, airy and deliciously crisp. The Mediterranean Omelette and Chilaquiles never disappoint. The Queen that's not on the menu is the Mexican salsa which is the best you will taste north of the border, and sometimes even south of. Before the pandemic, people would wait for over an hour for a table on weekends; and during holidays, we once heard someone say she'd been waiting for 3 hours. This says it all about this place. Besides the great food, the service is usually very efficient. I don't know of any other restaurant that improves on holidays the efficiency of its already great service. ALL my family loves More Than Waffles, and we've celebrated many Mother's & Father's Days, Valentine's and birthdays here never growing tired of it. read more

Was looking for a new breakfast spot in the area & came across this place. Old fashion themed setting on the inside. Plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas as well. The food was excellent! I ordered an omelette & my girl had the Belgian Waffles. The Vanilla Cappuccino was super fire as well! Definitely coming back! I'd recommend it to anyone to try once. As seen on Diners Drive-in and dives. This place is none of them. Looks like it's trying to be quaint grandmothers home with lots of plastic flowers. Service was very but not the food. Brought me a cup of coffee right but it was flavored, yuck! Ask the customer first. On the table was a big dispenser of maple flavored corn syrup. Just serve the real thing instead of charging more and get rid of the fake stuff. My meal didn't come with a waffle but I got a side waffle. It came with melted butter. Oh it wasn't butter at all but butter flavored vegetable oil maybe from the movie theater. My server seemed very proud that they use real potatoes for there home fries. Well there weren't any sign of being fried more like mushy steamed. Is Guy running out of places he can stuff his face. As I got here, I saw a huge line out the door and I knew it was going to be good place to eat. Came here for brunch and had a wonderful time. Waited about 30 min to get seated which was okay because you can walk around the mall to kill time. Yes, taking this photo is a bit extra but it has to be done lol. We both got waffles on a Sunday and they were ok. The staff is wonderful. But an a la carte plate of a two quarter waffles is about $19 and a single egg side is like $6. My "nut multigrain Belgian waffle" looked and tasted like a decent white flour waffle with some pecans sprinkled in. The house syrup is the usual polymer thickened glop everyone serves now. I think it's a very comfy place, owner is attentive and it's very child friendly, but even for LA the food to price ratio is unattractive. read more

Some days a five and some a one. Some days I order an Ice Tea and never see an Ice Cube, and other times I see them but not in my glass. Food too, sometimes fabulous and sometimes not what I ordered. The servers give salsa and jam to each table. I frequently ask for crackers cause my order does not require either one. I am still waiting a week later. They have on all the surroundings tables with full glasses of ice tea WITH ICE and patrons who have left. I have a DRY PALATE, NO ICE TEA, NO ICE, but a Salsa and jam but nothing to do with it.
