This was my second visit to this location. I will admit the food is always delicious, but this place gets crowded fast. I would warn anyone that the wait may be long on the weekends. The waffles are probably the most crispy flavorful creation I've ever tasted. The addition of warm syrup and butter is a must. I however am not a huge fan of the decor because in my opinion it looks outdated, but I think they are going for a more traditional country homestyle look. This cute family owned restaurant has super sweet employees and the owner even came out and gave us a free waffle at the end! Great waffles! Came here for a quick breakfast on the way to Santa Barbara on a Saturday. Fortunately, we got seated right away. We ordered the healthy choice breakfast and the almond joy waffle to share. Yum! I don't feel so guilty indulging in the waffle since we also had egg whites with spinach. We've tried to come here for weekend brunch before and the wait was insane. Today (Sunday) we stopped by around 9:30 am were told the wait would be 25-30 minutes so we decided to stick it out. So glad we did! We ended up only waiting about 15 minutes and the food was SO GOOD! I ordered the chilaquiles with a side of fruit and they were so flavorful and delish. Really large portion sizes too. My husband had the breakfast combo with waffles, fried eggs and sausage. We loved dipping the perfect waffles in the homemade strawberry jam that was brought to the table. To die for! The service was fast and friendly and we also noticed they have a lot of gluten free items on the menu - including gluten free pasta, gluten free bread for sandwiches and for French toast. My favorite breakfast spot. Weekends are of course the busiest days but waiting isn't all that bad as there is usually piano entertainment. If time is of the essence then recommend a visit during the week. The waffles are the best around and can be made with fresh fruit, chocolate, Carmel the options are endless as well a a scoop of ice cream and or whipped cream. Every Olmert can be made into a breakfast burrito and my favorite fast is the Mediterranean made into the omelette with, potatoes, fresh salsa (this is what I take to go to eat later because I really just came here for the waffles). I really love this place! They have excellent waffles & good service. Even the wait isnt so bad because they have the fountain going, on weekends they have music, and they have complimentary water and sometimes coffee while you wait. The environment is so relaxing and chill that everyone seems to be in a good mood even while waiting. Ive had the nutella and strawberries waffle and it was so, so good. I cant describe how delicious the waffle was. It is crispy, but not hard at all. The strawberries were fresh and sweet (they were still in season when i went the last time). I love this place. Took my husband today for his birthday, he's never been before. He loved it. Even during Covid, we wouldn't have really noticed. We have been here twice now. The first time we went because the bf had been wanting to try it for a while. The name of the restaurant has "Waffles" in it which immediately makes me think I won't be able to eat much. But the "More" part of the name gave me a little hope. Maybe they would have an awesome omelette for my gluten free needs. We went on a Sunday and were greeted with a 45 minute wait for a table. This place was packed. Obviously, going to a brunch place at 11am on a Sunday in LA is really stupid. We know but it was our first chance and we were lazy getting out of bed. We walked to the pet store next door to pet kitties while waiting for our table. They take your phone number so they can text you so at least you don't have to stay close by, unlike many brunch places in the area. Bonus! After hanging out with kitties for 30 minutes we made our way back over and were seated within minutes. Our server was super friendly but not in an over-the-top fake way but just a genuinely friendly person. Also, she used to be gluten free (i.e. fake gluten free but I don't care as long as she knows things) so she knew everything on the menu that I could eat. This is where I fell in love with this restaurant.... There are about 4 things on the menu that are specifically listed as gluten free. This includes french toast, regular toast, pancakes and breakfast pasta (yep, you read that correctly). However, our server was able to tell me about everything on the menu that CAN be made into a gluten free meal. Basically EVERYTHING. Waffles can't be made gluten free but if you want a waffle's toppings you can get them on pancakes instead. Anything that has a bread base, like eggs benedict, can be made gluten free. The first time we went, I thought the breakfast pasta sounded tasty. I was going back and forth between that and the French toast and an omelette. Our server said that the pasta was really good and even though it sounds weird, everyone always ends up loving it. She even promised that if I didn't like it she would get me something different for free. Sold! It arrived and was a good sized portion of pasta, cheese, spinach and garlic. So much garlic. Yummy, stinky, delicious garlic. I was very happy. I ended up ordering some regular gf toast too just to eat the yummy looking jam. The bf got potatoes, a breakfast scramble thing and toast. He was happy with his choice and the amount of food on his plate was insane. The second time he got an omelette and was equally happy. The second time we went we went on a Saturday morning and arrived 10 minutes after they opened because we didn't want to have to wait. We were seated immediately but by the time we finished there was a line outside. This time around I felt like being a stupid, non-house owning millennial and got some gf avocado toast with a fried egg on top. I also ordered gf French toast. The avocado toast was amazing and filling. I knew I wasn't going to be able to eat the French toast but French toast is very good leftover, especially when turned into a yummy breakfast sammie... which I did a few days later and it was like a McGriddle but way better. I can't wait to go back again and get some gf pancakes or gf eggs benedict or an awesome omelette. So many options!!!! read more

That strawberry jam. More than Waffles is a great establishment tucked in the corner of a busy plaza, and if you go at the wrong time, parking can be difficult. If you can navigate the parking lot and find a space, you will be rewarded with a delicious breakfast/brunch spot. The restaurant is one of the busiest breakfast places in the Valley, so prepare to either come early, or endure a wait. I typically chose to go early because patience isn't my strong suit. Don't be shy to sit outside, because they do have heaters available to keep you toasty on those colder mornings. Once you are seated, you are greeted by some of the warmest servers out there. They are very friendly and quite attentive to your needs. My coffee cup was never empty. Looking through the menu, the biggest draw is their waffle selection. If you're in the mood for some amazing waffles, you're at the right place. Personally, I don't even go for the waffles with the toppings. Their basic waffle and their strawberry jam is seriously one off the charts. I don't know what they put in the jam, but it's freakin fantastic. They also got a mean protein scramble. If you top it with their house salsa, it is also an amazing dish (if you're watching your carb count). It also comes with cottage cheese instead of potatoes. I've also tried the Waffle Benedict which is great. The Breakdown: Food: 4.5 (slight knock for some of the other items on the menu which are good, but didn't amaze me) Service: 5 Ambience: 4 This place gets a solid 4.5 from me and is one of my favorite breakfast spots in the Valley.
