The food is good. But you have to wait at least 2 hrs to be seated, then wait at least 30 minutes for the food to arrive at your table. So, if you're hungry, don't come here. But if you can wait 2.5 hrs until you eat, then by all means do come. FYI, we used the waitlist on yelp. Once we get to number 1, we still have to wait for 15 mins. It's ridiculous to be honest. This place is always poppin on a weekend! We waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated. The staff are nice and friendly though. They are very busy, but I understand.. I ordered the waffler and it was really good! Their sweet waffles with ice cream too are amazing. Iced Caramel latte was good as well, sweet just like I like it! There is indoor and outdoor seating. This is a superior breakfast/brunch restaurant with an extended menu that includes plenty of delicious food options, mainly made with high quality ingredients. From their famous waffles to chilaquiles, you will surely find something that satisfies your tummy. I've been here four times so far and I've had a delightful experience every single time. They do tend to have a long wait, so prepare, or call ahead to reserve your table and avoid getting hangry! Lol. Service and portions are great and if you sit outside (my preference) you'll get a lovely view of the water fountain with some fresh air. I went with my family once again this past weekend and our server (I didn't get her name) brought our bill early, which was confusing to me because we were only halfway done with our food and we still needed refills + sauce, more napkins, and boxes to go before we left; but Ricardo (the busboy) was able to get everything for us. Our server was still around but walked past us every single time and only checked on surrounding tables. First, I want to start with the positives of this restaurant. The people that were working there were very friendly and welcoming, had a warm vibe to them early in the morning. The outdoor dining area was very nice, with the water fountain and the nice trees. We ordered the heavenly French toast (which was French toast with c chocolate drizzle and strawberries), and I thought it was pretty average. Nothing too spectacular about it, but I'm sure they do have other great things on the menu. We also got breakfast potatoes, and they were pretty decent for the most part. For the most part, I recommend this place and maybe you might have a better experience than I did. But I don't think I would come back to spend $35 for breakfast, that didn't leave me with the wow factor. It seems pretty popular, they had a good amount of customers at 9am on a weekday. read more

We've been going to More Than Waffles for years now and they have the OG best airy, crunchy waffles in LA. You pour the melted butter and add the strawberry preserves and the seasonal apricot jam... perfection! We also had the strawberry and banana Nutella crepe and it's a delight. For savory we had the hash and eggs with bacon and potatoes... it's sooo good! Our waitress and busboys were very nice and checked in on us a lot. Food is delicious and worth it but let me tell you I came today on Sunday March 8th with a party of 10 near closing time and our waitress was over charging us by so much it was very suspicious there was never an itemized receipt. & she didn't even now what she was charging us for. Our bill went from $326 to $205. It was very strange. We got 2 kids meals 2 $20 combos and 2 drinks and a side of potatoes and it was $100. I have no idea what she did or why she did it. One of the best waffles I've ever had! The waffles are so light and fluffy and the whipped cream is delicious. The meals come with strawberry jam and hot sauce. The jam complements the waffle perfectly so you don't even need the syrup. The mighty meat scramble was really filling and packed with protein. The menu was very customizable, you even can add protein powder to the waffles. The service was impeccable and very attentive. Decided to come here for breakfast Sunday afternoon. I made a reservation for 2 on Yelp. I arrived 30 mins earlier to check in. We waited an additional 30 mins. All in all, the wait time was about 1 hour and 20 mins, which is expected for a Sunday. Yelp was actually right on point with their estimate. Once we were seated, we were approached by our server, Beth. She is awesome. Even though she was busy and had a ton more tables, she made sure to acknowledge our presence and let us know she would be right with us (hate when you walk into a restaurant and are ignored for an extended period of time after being seated). Beth was friendly and quick. Within 10 mins of ordering, we had our food exactly as we ordered it (special requests). We ordered a Denver Omelet with turkey bacon and cottage cheese AND the Waffler which is 2 poached eggs, avocado, and bacon all topping two waffles, which is accompanied by their home fries (potatoes). The food was absolutely delicious. The eggs on Denver omelet were fluffy, perfectly seasoned with the just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The Waffler was equally delicious. The waffles were so light and airy with the perfect amount of crisp along the edges. Perfect amount of hollandaise sauce. The eggs were perfectly poached (see pic of the egg yolk oozing out). Although the wait can be long, totally worth it. Service and taste exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be returning. read more

Came here to celebrate my friends birthday with a brunch. We showed up at 11:50am and were notified that it would take about 1-1.5 Hrs until we were seated. it was only 2 of us. We decided to wait as I really needed to kill time while her husband prepared their home for a surprise party. So keep that in mind. The wait was beneficial to me but it could be a problem to you. They took down her number and when the time came we received a text notification that our table was ready. The place is very cozy! Feels like you are dining in someone's B&B. I wasn't prepare for the portion size in this place but it's pretty big! I couldn't finish the delicious potatoes because the Benedict's were full-filling! The food was delicious! Joined the waitlist around 11 am on a Saturday morning. It was about a 2 hour wait which me and my friends were completely fine with. It's in a cute plaza with a good amount of parking, seems like there's an underground parking garage in addition to the parking lot in front. The restaurant is in the middle of the plaza, a floor down from ground level. The area is very cute with a fountain and lots of plants. Make sure you check in with the hosts when you arrive, even when you're on the waitlist! When it was our turn, we were sat outside. It was a tad chilly but thankfully they had heaters everywhere. My friend ordered the lemon blueberry waffles with a side of bacon and my boyfriend got the Ikas savory crepes with potatoes. I chose the waffle Benedict with potatoes and asked for an extra side of hollandaise sauce. Each entree is close to $20 but you get a huge amount of food! We ended up taking most of ours home. The waffles were good, slightly sweet and not too crunchy, more like a firmer pancake texture. The hollandaise sauce was excellent, and they gave me a large side of it. I added pepper and hot sauce to my dishes. Everything was delicious and filling. Service was friendly and quick. There was some miscommunications on drinks and things but overall everything went smoothly. I would come back! read more

One of my favorite breakfast spots in the valley. I drove up from LA specifically for this breakfast, and was very happy that I did so. I have tried to stop in on a few other occasions in the past, but each time the wait was too long. I will admit that I had to wait 45 minutes to be seated for a Sunday brunch which is the longest that I have waited for breakfast in over a year but I do feel that it was worth it. I put my name on the waitlist using Yelp prior to arriving so I was able to check in immediately but then had to wait about 45 to 50 minutes right after that to be seated. They have just as many tables outside as they do inside but we were lucky enough to sit inside today. The tables are quite close together, so don't expect to have a private conversation but you can expect to have a great food. The menu is extremely large and filled with a lot of amazing options. There were also a few specials that I wanted to order, but being my first time I wanted to order one of their classic dishes. Our server was extremely polite and very attentive and did a great job. It's located on the bottom floor of a large shopping center so there is plenty of free parking on site. It was really hard to choose what I wanted, but I decided to start off with the Tropical Iced Tea which was terrific, and I definitely would recommend and also an Iced Caramel Latte, which was a bit small, but still great in flavor. For my meal, I chose the Santa Fe Eggs Benedict on waffles. The waffles are extremely good here and definitely worth ordering. I especially liked the Ortega chilies beneath the roasted turkey, because they really added a great level of spice. I also ordered a cup of the Beef Chili and thought it was one of the best that I've had in a long time. It makes me want to order a dish with chili on it because it was that good. Overall, it is a bit expensive but the food quality is really great and the portion sizes are very generous. It's not the sort of place that I would stop in if I am in a rush or have limited time, but if I am in the area and have enough time I certainly will be back in the future. read more

I have known about the restaurant for many years. I tried it one time about 20 years ago when going to the Laemmle movie theatre. To be honest I didn't really remember anything too memorable about it other than proximity to the theatre. Went for a movie matinee and because of a leg injury, needed somewhere clost to the theatre. I have to say I was blown away by the food and service. The first thing the waitress (forgot her name) was whatever you want as far as substitutions is fine. And if you don't like something, I'll take it back. Good start. I ordered a spinach and feta cheese omelet not well done. It came and was perfect. Done on the outside. Not too done. And a little runny on the inside. If I had to complain about something it was maybe there was too much feta inside. Good problem to have. We both ordered iced coffee. Being from NY, our biggest complaint about iced coffee in LA is that they typically pour hot coffee into a glass with ice. Making for a diluted, awful drink. More Than Waffles keeps their coffee in the fridge. So what you get is a glass of iced cold delicious coffee. The only thing better would be if they made ice cubes from coffee. And I only know one place in Boda Raton that does that. Kudos to More Than Waffles. Looking forward to my next meail there. read more

A very popular breakfast option in the Encino area. There is as an hour long wait on a Sunday, but we joined the line on Yelp and showed up when it told us too. After checking in at the front, we waited for five minutes before being seated. The interior is decorated like a grandmas cottage and they have a lot of interior and exterior seating. It was hard to pick what to try, but we ordered a Denver omelette that came with a waffle and a French toast breakfast combo. The waffle was crazy good. It had a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. The Denver omelette was good, but I had to order potatoes on the side. Get the homestyle potatoes extra crispy. The French toast was also really good, so you can't go wrong there. The staff was very friendly giving plenty of time and advice on the menu. The food came out exceptionally quick considering how busy they were. Getting in line on Yelp, is 100% the move so you don't have to wait as long.
