Got a beef bowl and a chicken bowl. Both were dry. Then beef was pretty chewy; combined with it being dry I felt like I was eating beef jerky and rice. The chicken was also dry but was edible when I doused it in teriyaki sauce. Would not come here again or recommend. read more

Excellent chicken and shrimp plate. The portion is huge, salad dressing is delcious and the lettuce is crisp. The chicken was juicy and I love that the sauce comes on the side because it just wasn't for me. This place is not the same as before. I went today and they chopped up my chicken so small, it looked like scraps. I was disappointed. The sauce cups they gave me were not even half way filled. I know this location seems to be well liked (which I am SHOCKED), but I have been too many Mos 2's in Orange County, and this one is by far the WORST - which is unfortunate because it's only 5 minutes from my work and house. Servicewise - all Mos 2's are the same, but the Quality of the food is definitely not. The first time I went here the chicken was burnt, I mean BURNT (I was already in the car and heading home when I realized it), I thought this was just a one-time thing, but the next 2 times, I had the same result of burnt chicken. This last time (I know, after the 2nd time I shouldn't have gone back), I paid the extra $2.25 for the extra chicken (something I always order at other Mos 2's and when I get the bowl it is over-flowing with chicken) and it was exactly the same amount of chicken as if I had just ordered the normal Large bowl. When I went to make sure that he did in fact add the extra chicken, the guy looked at it, said, "Yup" and that was it. I definitely will never go to this spot again. I don't care for "ambiance" or how well a place looks (this place looks horrible and filthy), I care about the food, and the food here is horrible. If you're in Central or North Orange county, spend the extra 10 minutes to drive to either of the Anaheim locations off of Western/Lincoln (By Western High School) or the one off of Lincoln/Harbor (By Anaheim High School) - my personal favorite location. read more

This review will be solely on the teriyaki bowls, because I'm traditional and haven't tried anything else there, since the teriyaki bowls always satisfied me! I work nearby and usually go here for lunch. I love the teriyaki bowls as you can tell, and their rice, onions, and teriyaki combo is delicious! I'm Asian, so I guess you can say I found the rice in Santa Ana x) The place is a little small, but for someone who eats there solo, I never have trouble finding a seat. The workers are hardworking and friendly. The place does gets crowded, but it's mostly ppl getting Togo, cuz there is no drive thru. Overall, I think the place is great. And I definitely recommend the teriyaki bowls. They also have other varieties of meals which I'm sure is as good. Oh yeah and don't forget to use the hot sauce there! However recently, I went in to order four plates. 3 with chicken and beef and 1 with chicken. I usually pay like 40 bucks. However I was charged $50. I had assumed maybe prices went up and or tax. I have come to this place for so many years and my order has always been on point ... I don't know if it's under new management but my visit today sucked!!! Best teriyaki chicken/beef on the planet. The meat is moist and is perfectly charbroiled. The salad is always crisp and the rice is always fluffy and sticky and perfectly cooked. The egg roll you get with the meal is also super delicious. I find this place to be way better than flame broiler or waba grill and cheaper too. The only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars is b/c it's cash only and I'm one of those people who rarely has enough cash for anything in her wallet. (side note: C'mon Mos! It's 2011.
