Can't beat the outstanding service. Food is fantastic and you won't have to wait forever.

Ill start off by saying the food here is similar to chow-line food so keep that in mind as you read thru out the rest of the story . We took our family here to eat the service was pretty mediocre. Took forever to get our order taken. We should have left when they took their time to see us .. mind you it was in no way a packed house . by the time the server got there she was kinda confused or something & she finally understood what "substitute for something else " meant . She told us no & then turned around & said " ok only substitute for fries & strawberry " im like well ok. Another long wait for the food . We asked for the juice for our kids she never brought it to us . When my husband & i finished our water our stomachs were instantly soured because the entire bottom of the cup had dark brown sludge in & it was on the walls of the cups too . I should have taken a picture but i was so grossed out i went straight to the front. Anywho , when i showed the employee at the front & the server they just played it of saying "its from the iced tea or iced coffee " as if its normal. Maybe it's normal here but im certainly not used to it . We're on the road now with 5 kids feeling queazy . Our total came to 98 dollars & some change i asked for some sort of discount or concern at-least & they gave 10% off . Thats the least they can do . Fingers crossed we don't get food poisoning before Christmas. Play it safe folks , just eat at home or haul a cooler with food with you on your trips . Stay safe ! read more

Wow! We had a great breakfast here. The other place had an hour wait so we gave this place a try. There was no wait although most of the tables were full. Our waitress Kim greeted our table right away and brought us coffee. She was cheerful and a great waitress. We had the pancake combo the breakfast burrito and the homemade biscuits and gravy. Everything was yummy especially the gravy. I love great gravy and biscuits and most of the time they fall short but these did not. Very good coffee also! The salsa was also a winner! read more

Good place for quick pick me up. Service was friendly and quick. Food was average. My waffle sprinkled with powered sugar was good, it satisfied my sweet tooth. Up in Big Bear for the weekend, just needed something quick for lunch. Thought we'd give this place a try since we could phone in an order and pickup (because of COVID-19). Super friendly on the phone, got our order right and their estimate of 15-20 mins for it to be ready was spot on. Club sandwich was amazing, huge Cesar salad for a reasonable price. Staff was friendly at pickup (and very busy). They were taking good measures for COVID as well, people waiting for orders were outside, 6 foot markers on the floor for the register, and all staff were wearing masks and gloves. read more

We absolutely love Mountain Munchies. It's super easy to place a To Go order or they're super fast if you walk in. This is our go to burger place in Big Bear. Awesome burgers, priced well. Fried zucchini and sweet potato fries were great. Kids enjoyed their burgers/fries as well. Staff was seen wearing masks and cleaning while I waited for take out. We will return. read more

Let me start by saying I wasn't really hungry when our group decided to eat one last time before we hit the road. I ended up getting the most basic meal on the menu. We came up to Big Bear to get away from our home for a bit. We looked up many different restaurants. We decided that we would try this place out. WE DO NOT REGRET IT. We did takeout. We ordered a variety of foods. It was all very fresh! The Berry Salad was filling and very refreshing. The Biscuits and Gravy was delicious. The sub sandwich was huge and tasty. Stopping of for groceries prior to arriving at the house we rented and happened to find Mountain Munchies. Wasn't feeling terrible excited to eat there but wanted to have lunch before arriving at the rental. I was so surprised by the friendly staff and good food. This place was FANTASTIC! Can't say enough about the great tasting coffee, fresh squeezed OJ, great tasting Ranch dressing with a garden salad, Lumberjack sandwich, and Smoky Bear Sandwich.
