These review don't lie! I came here because of the Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. I got a same day appointment and within ten minutes of getting there my car was already being examined for my car's brake needs. Shortly there after, Mr. Brake himself came out and told me how many miles (approximately) were left on each brake AND he said the way things were, I could come back in another 3,000 miles and he would change them at a later date if I preferred to wait. I ultimately left my car with him to have the front brake pads changed because I mean, come on! Mechanics are notorious for trying to get you to spend more money for things you didn't even bring your car in for... but not Mr. Brake. Just had the brake line flushed and fluid replaced. Each time you go in for an appointment they check your brakes and let you know where they're at. We thought we had to replace them soon but they said we were at 50% and let us know how long we have left before we should replace them. They're the first service to give us a sticker on when we should come in to replace our brakes for a reminder. A sticker may not mean much to people, but for us this is great reminder so we don't have to try and remember when to call and come in next. I went to BMW and obviously they said that if more things needs to be changed outside breaks, the worst case scenario will be $1500...okay. Then when I said that I don't want to do that and asked to pull my car, they said that they will do everything for 550 but sent a quote of 600. It's called Mr. Brake for a reason right? They should be specialized in braking system of cars. But nope I guess not. They cannot bleed an ABS module/system. So here's the story. After changing all my rotors and pads and the master cylinder myself, I tried bleeding my brakes and the rears were bleeding just fine but the fronts not a single fluid is coming out. So I took the car to Mr. Brake. I don't like to watch the mechanics do the work, I just let them do the work. So I don't know if they really did the work. They said they tried to bleed the system in many ways 1 with the pressurize bleeder and 1 with the manual bleeding technique with two people and 1 with a scanner or something and they couldn't bleed the fronts as well. And it was really quick maybe less than 40mins. Like I said I didn't look, I was just sitting in the shop trusting them that they would do the work. And we were charged the hourly labor $116 and some change with the car still no brakes very spongy pedal. Took the car home like that with flashers. Well good thing a friend of mine helped me, he has a professional ABS scanner and we were able to bleed the ABS. I guess they don't have the proper ABS scanner, so Mr, Brake is a no go for me. Also Mark gave me a quote for a brand new ABS module from the dealership $2200+ and from a junkyard $1000+ while I was in front of him with my phone on eBay looking for the same ABS module and it was $120 for the refurbished one lol. He also said he will get a cut if we do the dealership one lol. This place is no good, they will juice you dry. Dishonest work. That's how my experience went with this shop. You can try, maybe they'll be alright with just brake pads change, the basic stuff but I would not recommend if you have the same situation as me with the ABS system. read more

I made an appointment for an estimate and he was honest and told me I definitely needed front but I could get away with considerably more mileage for the rear. I called right at opening (8a) on a Monday. Mark offered me two appointments, gave me a quote over the phone ($89.95 for rotor resurfacing), and got me out in less than an hour. I also usually do my own work and recently replaced my break pads, but no longer have a garage. So when he came out and told me my pads were practically new rather than trying to sell me some, I knew he was more than a stand-up dude. The waiting room is a bit small, with only 3 chairs; but it shouldn't be too crowded if you're sure to make an appointment in advance. They also have free wifi and water. I called him to get an appointment same day, but of course he was booked, so I made an appointment a few days out. I called the next day to see if he had any cancellations and he offered to do the brakes as long as I brought the vehicle in early and left it there for the day.
