This place is one of my favorites! They've never failed to give me amazing service, and it's always been nice to see familiar faces working here as I've been coming throughout the years. I like this cafe since their food is portioned right and they provide good service. While their pancakes are on the dry side, their omelettes, which we always get, are prepared right. We always come here for breakfast and the ambience is always chill, no regular crowds congregating talking about politics like you see at Dino's. The staff are really polite and you can see that they take time to prepare your food. So yes, I'll take My Café over Dino's anytime. read more

My cafe is definitely my new favorite brunch spot in Newark! I was lucky enough to try some of their new menu items and it did not disappoint. The Monte Cristo along with the crème brûlée French toast was delicious, a must-try! The steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, medium-rare. Mimosas are served every day! The Passionfruit Guava Mimosa is a must-try! It was perfect with the coconut shrimp and the country-fried steak Benedict. We were shopping at home depot and wanted something for breakfast. We looked up in yelp and found this gem. It was Saturday and they were pretty busy at 9:30 am. Here we need to order first and than take a table. It has typical diner feel. We ordered vegetarian crepe with house potatoes, chocolate milk and side of french fries. 8/7/21 Breakfast Just the two of us for breakfast today and so we hit up My Cafe. I ordered the Mixed Berry French Toast and my husband got the Chicken Fried Steak Benedict. Both came out fast and were delicious, but the portions were on the smaller size for the price. It was $45 for breakfast for the 2 of us which seems a bit pricey for 2 pieces of French Toast and chicken nugget size fried chicken on the Eggs Benedict. My Cafe is good but there are more reasonably priced breakfast places in the area. Probably a one and done for us. read more

Fast service and very clean. Quite an unassuming place in the middle of a Home Depot parking lot. I got the All American breakfast and my son got the breakfast tacos. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the potatoes had the perfect amount of crunchiness and were not at all soggy. The sausage was good as well. My son devoured his breakfast tacos and also commented on the deliciousness of the potatoes. In his words, it was "immaculate". The service was great too. Food came quickly and everyone was friendly enough to make you feel wanted but not so friendly that it was obnoxious. A Yelp reviewer gave a good tip - to order at at the front of the restaurant. It helped me prepare to choose from the menu. Anyways, my friend and I came to eat here for a weekday. We had an early dinner, so it was nice with a few people in the diner. The booth was comfy. I ordered a Rigatoni pasta it was surprisingly outstanding. I wish I took a picture to post because I didn't see a pasta picture on yelp and it was yummy. Pasta was al dente, and saucy with loads of ground beef. Diners don't usually have good pasta, so I was very satisfied with the texture and ratio of sauce that covered the rigatoni. read more

What a find! As a Bay Area native and multi generational European American, it was so nice to find AMAZING traditional American fare in a clean, relaxed friendly environment, in an unexpected place. Newark, CA!!! 1. Super easy access right off 880/Thornton. 2. Excellent, chill service (to be fair it was around 2pm, off busy hours) and 3. The food!!! Seriously- only had the Cobb salad- split with a friend, but each part was perfection- the thick, well cooked bacon, perfectly seasoned chicken, not too ripe avocado, etc. The garlic bread blew me away. And the waitress figured out and suggested exactly what drink I was craving (an Arnold Palmer with raspberry ice tea) when trying to decide. Loved the country music in the background. My friend and I had a wonderful conversation and never felt rushed- on the contrary- felt right at home. Congratulations to the owner who is living out that American dream of owning your own business. As a former restaurant manager, I know how tough it can be to make a profit, in that business.
