First time trying this restaurant. I ordered satay chicken, pad thai, and green curry. These orders came in with big portions. The chicken was really chewy and tasted like real chicken. However, I found it a little under-flavored. I was hoping there would be more lemongrass and a smoky smell, just like other typical skewers. Pad Thai was on point. I love the sweetness and sourness that came in the sauce. In addition, I love how they have the combo on the menu, which gives me a chance to try different items on the same plate. The Green curry combo came with egg rolls, salad, and brown rice. The egg rolls were crunchy on the outside, but I found them a bit raw and cold on the inside, and it wasn't a problem for me. I didn't taste much of coconut milk flavor in the curry, which made it not as creamy as expected. Overall, it was a really nice experience, and I'd come back to try again.

The restaurant is in a shopping center and we were able to grab parking right in front. We visited on a Friday evening with two kids and two adults and we were seated right away. It's cozy inside with a few tables for smaller and mid sized groups. I noticed the most traffic was from take out orders. They offer a pretty big menu so it's easily something for everyone. The portion sizes are shareable and you can have a family style meal. We ordered the tofu pad Thai, Supreme rice, Orange chicken, Chicken nuggets, Chicken tacos and a side of French fries. We also tried the Thai tea. Everything tasted great. The pad Thai and supreme rice was everyone's favorite. We'll be back to try more from the menu soon.

I came to My Vegan in Pasadena for dinner with a friend. They have a decent sized menu, it was hard to choose. I decided on their special where you can pick an entree, side of rice, salad and an egg roll for $18. I got yellow curry amd my friend got cashew "chicken" with tofu. We also got dumplings for an appetizer. All the food came out really fast, a little too fast. I'm not sure if they have it pre made and heat it up upon ordering, or if it's made to order. The food was good, but not amazing. For the price though it was a deal and definitely somewhere to stop when hungry and don't want to spend too much. I also liked that they gave a homeless woman water when she came in and asked. That was really kind and refreshing to see. I will be back. There is no restroom though or at least it didn't look like there was a restroom. I want to try their mango sticky rice next time.

Overall, just average. The papaya salad was decent and abundant in portion size, BUT tomatoes were really mushy . I would have preferred for it to have some kind of spice that lacked too. The drumsticks were the main item I visited for and they were good; however, they were on dowels vs. sugar cane... just a different vibe, not a deal breaker. Two issues with my visit here: 1. asked for a sweet chili sauce, but it has no chili in it, just a sugary sauce AND when I got my bill I was charged extra for the sauce but no mention of this when I ordered it. I have no issue paying for extra sauces 1. If the sauce is worth a hoot and 2. Awareness that I'm paying for it. Prices are a little high for the quality of food. The parking lot is a little undersized for the amount of businesses in the little strip mall area. One MAJOR complaint and issue 2. They claim the restroom is out of order (which I saw on previous reviewers posts, which was over 1 month ago)... idk how a business can operate without a restroom for customers. I get emergency situations, but how have they gone this long without a working restroom for customers? To make this situation even worse, it doesn't appear they have any neighboring businesses to partner with on this issue because if you need the restroom they tell you to go across the street to Trader Joe's. Next time I'm in the area, I'll just grab something from TJ's to eat and not worry about dining at My Vegan.

3.5 stars Another vegetarian family member came to visit, so I thought to have them try this place, since it's so highly rated. It's not bad, but it didn't wow the way I thought it would. My uncle got the Tofu Cashew Stir-fry and it wasn't as spicy as we thought it would be. I got the Tom Yum Noodles and it was sour and not spicy enough. My mom got the Pad Thai and that turned out to be the best dish. Service was good. I'd come back.

3.5 stars. I came on a Monday evening for early dinner around 5:50pm. There is a parking lot with a few spaces. Not the biggest parking lot and a bit of a tight, weird layout but I was able to secure a spot. This was my first time here. No one was inside when we came so we were immediately greeted and seated. It's pretty small inside. Several tables along each wall and a few in the middle. We ordered the orange chicken, P.E.T. and RIPP. The food came out decently quickly. First impression was that the portion sizes were small for the price (~$18 each). The orange chicken was not what I expected. I wouldn't get this again. It was mushy and soft, not the crunchy breading I hoped for. The sauce is quite citrus-heavy. The PET was solid. I was hoping for more pumpkin and tofu but overall good. The RIPP was the best dish in terms of the entree itself. Tangy flavor, great mock meat texture. The steamed vegetables had no flavor and the carrots were basically raw. The cabbage slaw was pretty good but a bit watery toward the bottom. Overall, it was okay. I wasn't blown away by any flavors. It's a bit overpriced for what it was. Nothing was notably memorable. My partner and I were able to finish everything (he does eat a lot though). I wouldn't necessarily come out of my way to eat here again but I wouldn't say no either if someone asked. Maybe I'll give the pad Thai a try next. Service was nice. Water was refilled twice. Other notes (literally posted around the restaurant): -bathrooms out of order -cash preferred -minimum credit card purchase $10 -tip preferred in cash

Dropped by and got the Vegan Pho Basil ($15.50). Even though this is a Thai restaurant, the pho was pretty comparable to what you can get at a vegan Vietnamese restaurant. To me, all vegan pho tastes the same (the salty veggie broth taste), and this is exactly what this one felt like. The portion sizes were satisfactory. They will give you sriracha and hoisin sauce if you ask. The restroom is a single-stall inside the kitchen, so you have to ask to be escorted. It's written on the menu that any food returned will only give you 50% back. Seems pretty atypical and I can see how that might offend some customers.

I ordered this for pickup, it went smoothly and they had my order ready under 10 minutes. I ordered the mung bean noodle salad and the mushroom coconut soup with tofu. I would highly recommend the mushroom coconut soup. The salad's flavor was amazing, perfectly sour and umami, but they had large chunks of green onion (a lot of stem), which cannot be eaten without my eyes watering. The soy shrimp texture was also a little dry.

I was looking for a vegetarian food option for my mom and decided to give My Vegan a try. At first, I tried to call and place a takeout order. However, they did not pick up, so I went and ordered in person. The staff was very helpful in answering all of my questions about what's in their dishes. After ordering, it was mentioned everything would be ready within 15 minutes. There were not a lot of people at the time, so there were plenty of seats for me to sit and wait. I was actually surprised to see that everything was actually ready within 5 minutes. In total, I got three dishes - Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and egg rolls. For both the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, I added tofu for the order. For the egg rolls, it looks like it was made with carrot and lettuce. My mom absolutely loves all the dishes. I also enjoyed all of the dishes. Everything was definitely shareable for 1-2 people. This spot will now be one of our favorite consideration for vegetarian food! Note: American Express is not accepted here.

Hidden gem for Thai-style vegetarian food. All dishes are made from non-meat or meat-alternative ingredients, but the flavor is almost identical to regular dish. Recommend: Broccoli beef, Pad Thai, Tom Kha Soup, and Angry Pork. Plenty of parking.

Came in, although there's a sign that says restroom is out of order they told me it wasn't and allowed me to access it. Small place and restroom is in the back by the kitchen but it was clean. Food car out amazingly fast, prob 5-7 min. Tasted great, o ordered the egg rolls and angry pork. Pork was a bit on the salty side but otherwise great flavor. Egg rolls were on point. The brown rice that comes with the angry pork was my favorite, sticky and cooked just right. Overall I liked the place. Bit pricey but it's Pasadena and nothing is 3-5 bucks anymore. 4 stars because of the price and again. A bit too salty on the angry pork for my taste but definitely give this place a try.

I had pretty high expectations for My Vegan, but I wasn't blown away with the food. Firstly, one of the workers was a bit rude and seemed like she hated her job. However, our personal server was really nice. I think the other worker was one of the managers. Their menu is huge so I was a bit overwhelmed. I decided to go with the red curry combo that comes with rice, salad and an egg roll. My boyfriend ordered the coconut mushroom noodle soup. We also ordered an appetizer of sweet potato fries. My curry was really good, but similar to other curry that I've had at Thai restaurants. The egg roll that came with it was not good. My boyfriend thought that his soup was too sour for his liking. The sweet potato fries were nothing special and portion was really small for $4.50. They also don't offer any other dipping sauces except for ketchup. Overall, since their menu is huge, maybe some of their other dishes are better than the ones that we tried. Maybe we'll give them another chance if we're in the area. read more

Lord Jesus this food is good! I've eaten at a ton of Vegan Spots but this is the best I've had in all of LA and Pasadena! Reviews don't lie! First time trying this vegan restaurant! Didn't have to wait when coming around 6:30pm on a weekday, and we got the chili cheese fries, supreme fried rice and angry pork dishes. All of the portions were very large and we were impressed with the quality of food. Service was also very fast and efficient. Had lunch today with my vegan sister at My Vegan Restaurant and the meal was very tasty! I got the signature Pad Thai and my sis got the yellow curry noodles. The Pad Thai and the curry noodles were amazingly fresh and well flavored. I didn't even miss the fact that there was no meat! Service was great. As far as drinks go, their Thai iced tea was delicious and hit the spot with just the right about of sweetness to balance the savory dishes. I've been coming here since I was a vegetarian and it guided me into veganism. Its been 6, almost 7 years and they're still one of my favorites. It's been harder to come because traffic on the 110 has gotten worse, but any time I make it, it's a treat. The restaurant has gone from being a delicious hole-in-the-wall to a newly renovated cafe-like setting. I can see that they keep improving on their business every year that passes. I've been to so many Vegan Thai restaurants but none of them have the rich flavor that My Vegan does. This day I ordered the Seaweed salad (seaweed quality is amazing). My mom ordered her favorite, the P.E.T. I ordered the Spicy Wild Mushrooms. We shared the crispy lentil tacos. I believe the tacos use to be made with Daiya but the newer cheese is nice, it's creamy and not as pungent. Everything was great. read more

This is my go to place. The food is delicious and best of all vegan! No having to make special instructions about substituting meats and requesting no egg. I find any excuse to go including date night with my wife. The service is prompt, friendly and accommodating. April was our waitress. Very friendly and professional. The carbonara pasta is out of this world, wife doesn't order anything else. My go to is the Pad Thai. Didn't order it this time just to try something new. The soup was so good and filling. Forgot the name of it. Minus one star- as we were leaving, a guy staff member came out to to the parking lot and asked if we weren't gonna leave a tip for the server(dined outside of the restaurant). Assuming I didn't leave a tip. Didn't like that one bit. I left cash on the table for tip. Once he saw the tip he wished us a goodnight and thanked us. Overall a great place. read more

Great small restaurant. Menu is by far the best part of the restaurant. I had the wild mushroom salad and couldn't finish it. Portions are large and the drinks are great as well! Ordered via Postmates I had the spicy pork, Thai iced tea and the chicken nuggets. I wish the nuggets had come with like a vegan honey mustard sauce instead of the duck sauce style sauce it came with. I never liked duck sauce so I didn't care for the pairing. The spicy pork was good, vegetables were crispy and it had enough sauce. The thai iced tea was too sweet, so it's authentic lol. I would eat here again. read more

This place is a pretty solid Thai vegan place if that's what you have a hankering for. I always stop here every time I'm in the area and my go-to favorite dish is the Yellow Curry Noodles with extra vegetables. The flavor is so good you really can't go wrong. I did deduct one star because normally the curry is thick enough to coat the noodles but the last time it was a little runny and tasted a bit watered down. However, that was probably an off day because every time before that it's been great. Service is fast and friendly. Parking is easy as it's located in a strip mall and there's also street parking. read more

I've never had in bad dish at this place. It's eclectic and works with my pescatarian diet. I Had it delivered on a Sunday night and it came earlier than expected! First time going here with a group. I had the angry pork with vegan egg rolls and Thai iced tea. Others had the yellow curry chicken burger, yellow curry noodles. Everyone was happy with their selections. The angry pork is spicy. Would go there again. Great quality and reasonable prices. Service was good and very accommodating. If you didn't know it was vegan, you wouldn't know by the taste of the food. read more

Not sure why vegan/vegetarian places--besides Veggie Grill--take such a long time to prepare orders, but definitely allocate a bit of waiting time for My Vegan. That being said, I enjoyed their orange chicken, egg rolls (4), and fries (large) very much. Total ended up being around $26 after tax. Orange chicken was a good take on the meat version without adding too much sauce or veggie substitutes to make it taste like real chicken. Tasted vegetarian (in a good way), and the order came with brown rice on the side. Got an order of large fries cause we were just hungry fatties, but I would definitely skip out on this one unless you're also craving fries like a hungry fatty. read more

Living downtown, my partner and I discovered My Vegan Gold in Silverlake. Then when we domesticated to Alhambra we found My Vegan. We were pretty excited and it did not disappoint. My first indication that must return to this place was the fries. They have really delicious shoe string fries and an awesome cashew cheese sauce to top. Their burgers are also good as well. When we're feeling more Asian cuisine, we always go with the orange chicken (beware.. order the chicken, not the nuggets, they are gross) and pad see ew. Overall, this place is great for take out or dine in. We love to take out and you can order online with eat24/yelp. But it's also great for lunch. Every time I've been there at night, there has always been a wait, since it's not a very big space. But I highly recommend this place. read more

It's a Thai restaurant with signs in Thai language. gets one excited for an authentic vegan Thai experience. There were 2 hair in food . Their restroom is right in middle of kitchen . Overall very gross experience. Subpar sweet tasting food. Got veg dumplings, pad Thai , pineapple fried rice and green curry . Veg dumplings weren't steamed properly. Even if they were, the filling inside them was terribly wierd tasting. Guacamole and chips - has a spoonful of guacamole. Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice were SWEET when we asked medium spicy ! read more

I dined in and ordered a salad to go. The staff was very friendly there. However, after I got home and opened the salad, I realized the salad was unwashed, so I put the salad in the water, and so many bugs came out. I washed the salad three times, there were still bugs coming out. I felt so gross and lost my appetite. I hope they wash the veggies in the restaurant. read more

This is a great little find in Pasadena. My co workers and I love it (none of us are vegan). My go to is their curry bowl with tofu instead of 'chicken' or their wild mushroom coconut soup which is basically a tom yum. They have awesome lunch specials, great service and a home-like feel. Their portions are HUGE so be prepared to enjoy it for lunch the next day or dinner. They are located in a small strip mall which has adequate FREE parking. Service is always super fast, but check out the menu beforehand because they have a lot of options. Tough for indecisive people like myself. I came here with my best friend after church to grab some lunch. I ordered the Spicy Ramen and she ordered the Pad Thai. I did not like my ramen. It was just plain ramen noodles in a very bland miso soup broth with chili oil. The chili oil wasn't even spicy, it was just oil. It also came with tofu and bamboo shoots. I took two bites and I was just done. It was not satisfying and very flavorless and boring! I just could not eat it anymore. I think packaged ramen has more flavor than this! This soup was definitely missing something! Luckily my friend's Pad Thai was big enough for the both of us to share so we shared that and it was enough to fill me up. The server NEVER checked up on us to see how we were doing. We called her over when we were finally ready for the check. I told her that I didn't like my soup and I barely touched it. The right thing to do was to take it off my bill but no, they made me pay for it!!! Like really. I didn't mind, it was whatever so I paid but didn't leave a tip because it was horrible service. Will most likely not be coming back here. If I do then I will be definitely ordering something else. There are better vegan restaurants out there. read more

I had to give them a star to leave a review but if I could I'd give a minus 3 stars. By far the absolutely worst customer service we've ever had at this place! I will never come here again. There food is just not worth it and being that I dated a Thai woman from Phuket for years, I know thai food. Ruin Pair on Hollywood Blvd. is way tastier anyway, I think we'll stick to that place as their customer service is excellent. What happened? We ordered an appetizer of Guac and chips and were very disappointed by (what looked to be) 2 tablespoons of guac and a few chips for $5 bucks. We told the waited that we changed our minds about that order and he very rudely took it not even caring to ask why. Clearly his pride was hurt, which isn't necessarily a bad thing considering its food were talking about here... but the attitude continued as he brought the rest of our food out. I told him he was being very rude and if we could please have a different server. Naturally he got defensive and that was the end of our waiters for the remainder of our meal. I tried talking to the waitress about what happened and she wasn't trying to hear me. Not exactly what I call customer service. Needless to say we will NEVER come here again. I am beyond sad to know these type of careless people are allowed to work in customer service. I hope they receive better training in the near future. read more

Not a problem, the lunch menu was equally enticing. A 2-course offering for $25. I started with the Thai Prawn Ceviche. This course was wonderfully balanced, not too acidic, also a nice touch of sweetness and plump flavorful prawns. For the main, my selection was the Beef Truffle Wok-Seared Noodles. I was delighted that they were round noodles and they arrived at my table stirred in a dark sauce with sliced beef pieces on top. A small porcelain decanter was also supplied, containing the truffle oil. I poured it over my noodles. The beef was tender, moist and could be cut with the usual provided table knife. The whole dish was a winner, from start to finish. Service here, as expected, was well executed. Need to be aware of the parking though. There is a public garage around the corner that is advertised for this establishment and a few others. Problem is, that Star Leaf validates only for 1-hour, while their neighbors do so, for 2-hours. I addressed this issue with the manager at my last visit and this time too. The answer I got was not convincing to suggest that they care, or will do something about it, anytime soon. Oh well.

They do have a small lot but I can imagine parking being a challenge if they're busy. Interestingly, they 'borrow' the next door coffee shop's bathrooms. Is it the best Thai restaurant in the area? Probably not. But it's still pretty good and worth trying.

Vegan artistry. Seldom do I praise vegan cuisine for realism, flavor and overall goodness, but My Vegan definitely has a magic ingredient in their recipes. The restaurant is, to my knowledge, owned and run by Thais. Their food consists mainly of dishes veiled in Thai culture, such as Pad Thai, Satay, Green Curry, etc, but they also offer a great selection of other non-Asian foods such as burgers, wraps and salads. They cover their bases to say the least and it certainly pays off. This restaurant has had me back time and time again to try their savory, yet delicate offerings. Though I can't say every item I've had has blown me away, there's a certain charm about the whole establishment that elicits a muddled glee from within their patrons and first time diners. Nestled away in a tiny strip mall on Arroyo Parkway about 5 blocks north of the 110 freeway, My Vegan dwells silently and comfortably as it's possibly the only Asian based vegan restaurant in the surrounding area (if you don't count the Whole Foods Warehouse). The décor is extremely basic. No gimmicks or flashy chandeliers to woo your affections but what My Vegan delivers is something Americans, especially ones in Los Angeles, can't afford very often -a home style meal. The large tiled floors are reminiscent of those commonly found in the kitchens of houses built in the late Nineties, their soft lighting and simple décor calls upon the simplistic nature of a suburban home for inspiration and their semi-worn humbly coloured furniture is inviting to the finely dressed and the sweat soaked tracksuiters. Suffice to say, the on-the-go diner, as I have been on many occasions, will find that time slows itself while you're at My Vegan. Funnily enough, if you're one to tinker with time manipulation, look no further, your vortex is here shoved between two stucco walls and a glass store front. In addition to the homey feel of the restaurant, the food is absolutely amazing. I'll cover just some of the favourites that I have had in the past. On the appetizer menu, their chicken satay and fresh rolls are exquisite. The satay, in my opinion, is so close to chicken, my vegetarian friend was forced to doubt that he was actually eating a non-animal product. The sauce was also spot-on. For $4.95, you get 5 decent sized skewers, a cup of picked vegetables and a nice helping of dipping sauce of the peanut nature. In addition, their orange chicken is another genius creation. The sauce balances the right amount of sweetness and tang to offset the soy flavour of the imitation chicken and breaded crust. Each piece is nurtured to perfection. The only con about this dish is that they have since removed the Orange chicken from their dinner special combo and is only available a la carte. I can go on and on about this restaurant's food, but to make an already long winded review short, I recommend also the vegan fries, green curry and vegetable dumplings. If you're vegan and you're dying to share your culture with some non-vegan friends, take them to My Vegan, by the end of the night, I promise you'll have recruited some new believers in the overlooked cuisine. read more

My Vegan rules! You can get anything from soy chicken/soy pepper steak wraps with really tasty tahini to delicious thai noodle dishes/soups. I constantly crave their pancakes because of how super fluffy they are. Also, the "bacon" is so close to actual meat, it's unreal. They even add a layer that looks and has the same texture as fat, which is slightly creepy but very impressive. Their miso soup is so hearty and the bowl they give is HUGE! The soy peppersteak chow mein is also superb and tastes so authentic. ...never been let down here! Service is always quick, attentive, and friendly, and cost is not bad, big portions too! here's a few things i got excited about: -There's lots of parking in the lot (though when we went yesterday, it was closed off). -The most expensive dish on the menu is $10 but most dishes are under $8. whoo hoo! -The lunch specials are for $7.95 but only for certain dishes (11am-4.30pm). -Delivery if you order a minimum of $15. -They are open daily from 10.30am to 9:30pm. -Home made Vegan Cup Cake !!!! -Accept credit card no minimum require. Went here a couple of weeks ago with Mom, brother-in-law and friend. The food was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised (Mom and I) that the 'Orange Chicken' actually tasted like Chicken. Went back again yesterday. Try Papaya salad. Shredded green papaya, carrots, green beans, sliced tomatoes, and lime juice tossed with ground peanuts (LIGHT & FRESH!!!) My BF try The miso soup and it was great and filling. One of my friend had the pad thai, and even with a hangover enjoyed it. The red curry was also a hit. They were able to adjust the seasoning so that it wouldn't be too spicy. Outstanding service. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the food. As we ordered she told us which way things would be better. She came by a couple of times to see how we were. Nice. The highlight of the meal though was the coconut ice cream. I love this place. Even if you are not vegan/vegetarian do not be concerned because you will love the food regardless. This place has been in Pasadena longer than any other vegan restaurant and you will be very delighted with the dishes. The pad thai is my favorite with tofu followed by the mint and vegetable fake chicken. The meat substitute they use doesn't taste rubbery or strange and you wouldn't notice you are not eating meat. The menu has so many different choices that you could definitely eat there a few times in a row and not get bored with the menu. Parking is sometimes difficult but theres always street parking on the neighboring street. This place also delivers within a 3 mile radius and they are always friendly and there fast. I went here for lunch today and was very pleased. I ordered a lunch special: Orange soy chicken, brown rice, spring roll and small size of tiny sald. It was almost like a desert! Very delicious. I have never had real orange chicken, since I've been a vegetarian almost since birth, but I think even a hard core omnivore would like this dish. It's sweet, crispy, and savory. My friend (non-vegan) pronounced it "almost as tasty as the real thing" and he added he felt better eating it too because it felt "cleaner" than chicken. My friend got the Lava noodle dish with a freshly cut open coconut as a drink. And it was so freaking good. Nothing special about the restaurant. Strip mall-y, pleasant. The servers are very nice and friendly. Prices are pretty reasonable. Entrees run from $7.95-$10.95. Can't wait to return. read more

I gave up meat a few months ago, but have had a difficult time with the hot dog cravings. Sometimes I just wanna butcher something so I can fry it up and eat its delicious, tasty meat. Oh it's so difficult. Then I found My Vegan. Beyond putting a minor dent in my wallet, I have grown to love this place. The tofu is baked in some dishes so well that I am almost reminded of all the good parts of meat. The egg rolls and salads are fantastic as well.But the real heart breaker is the orange chicken. Despite being vegan, this stuff is better than the real thing. I devour it so quickly that I've even noticed little orange chicken stains on my clothing days later. I make it a point to stop by this place at least a few times a week after work. read more

Real VEGAN!!! Food, Finally in Pasadena. Read all reviews and decided to try today. Try FRESH ROLLS first. Yes it is !! it was fresh and the sauce matching with hand roll is incredible tastyyyyyy !! My main dish is lunch special Orange Chicken which came together with small salad, a crispy springroll and brown rice on the side. The price is $7.95. The portions was reasonable and that filled me up perfectly. Service was great, will come back tomorrow to try their SATAY and LAVA noodle. My co-worker got Tom Yum Tofu and he said it ws delicious and he will be back tomorrow with me again to try something different. This place is awesome! The food is really tasty not to mention the cheap price. Every dish i've tried here has been delicious ! I basically rotate between the Fresh Rolls and the Curry Chicken Wrap every time I order. The Praram's Plate is pretty good too ! Steam spinach, soy chicken, cucumber, cashew nut with peanut sauce. Yummy !!! Service was great. Been there 4 times all waitstaff is extremely humble and nice. Writing this review makes me crave this great food more than anything. We just discovered this place. The food is pretty good, the portion very generous, and reasonably priced (cheap!). But it's a real hole in the wall, mom and pop style, so don't expect much in decor. The dish that we really like is Pad see you, basically rice noodle, a special kind of rice noodle that has more texture to it, panfried with soy meat and broccoli. Everything else is good too, the Fresh rolls, Papaya salad, Orange chicken, more to report later. Thumbs up for me. Parking is a bit small and crowded. So grab the first street parking that you can find before turning into the parking lot. read more

First of all, i'm not even Vegan. But my wife is lactose intolerant, so we usually eat Vegan. Sometimes, that's a good thing, and sometimes... Not so much. Happy to say that this was a VERY good one. The Tom Yung soup is stellar, and so were the Lava noodles. I had the Yellow Curry noodles. Wow. I initially felt nervous, being that the place was in a tiny strip mall, and seemed to lack ambience. Well that is the only part of the experience that didn't floor me. The SECOND I got back home and tasted the food, my mood skyrocketed. I will be back to try everything My Vegan has to offer. I was feeling like eating healthy last week and paid a visit to My Vegan. I am not vegan but I do enjoy vegan and vegetarian food. I especially love soy chicken. I got the garlic and pepper dinner special with soy chicken-$8.95, I thought that this was a reasonable price for Chinese vegan food but when I got the portion, the portion size was very small. Also the brown rice seemed like it needed to be cooked longer. The soy chicken itself had good flavor to it, but 1 star deducted for the rice and another one for the portion size and price. I'm vegan and I've tried most of the Thai vegan restaurants. This is the best vegan food. Some might think that the food is more expensive than regular Thai food restaurant but you need to know that this place make their own sauces to avoid animal origins, MSG and nasty preservatives. Recently, I had Thai food at two meat serving and $1.00 less places. They were both so horrible. I can taste the cheap soy sauce with preservatives. Some might say it's not true. But once you've gone vegan and no preservatives, you will taste anything that is unnatural. read more

They have a sensibly-sized portion of delicious dishes, rice and a small tasty salad, just cannot be matched in any thai restaurant at their price. Spring rolls were bland, rice was good, perfect actually and the veggies in my dish were firm and crunched with nice flavor. Chicken was good with nice texture. They have very friendly, efficient and accommodating service that will not be matched anywhere in the nearby neighborhood restaurants. This place is a definite favorite! I usually cook most of my meals at home, so when I do eat out they better be something special. I purchase all of my vegan lotions and tanning products at Tropitana (tanning salon in the same plaza), so naturally I get all of my vegan treats at My Vegan! I'm obsessed with the curry, chow mein, seaweed soup, tom yum soup, salad rolls, egg rolls, and pretty much anything else I've tried there. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a low key joint that is clean, fresh and tasty! read more

Always order for delivery but they have to shut the service down. Talk to Junior the owner and he told me that he can't fill up a driver everyday. But who cares!!!!!! The food here is good ( Yello curry with fried tofu )and the price is great. ( range $8 to $10) It's take me 15 minutes to drive here but it worth a trip. Wow! As a vegetarian of 20 years, this place is heaven for me. The food is great. It tastes really fresh and isn't bland at all. Their selection is awesome and they were really nice with the kids. And their finally their prices are really reasonable. I can't believe I didn't find out about this place sooner. I had a fantastic experience at this place! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent. I tried the fried vegetarian dumplings and the Impossible Burger, and both were absolutely delicious. The dumplings were crispy on the outside with a flavorful, well-seasoned filling, and the Impossible Burger was juicy and satisfying, with all the right toppings. I've been coming to this place for past 4 months. The food has always been consistent fresh and tasty. The service is personable and professional. This is a great place for lunch and casual dinner. I'll keep this one short and sweet: Order the Pad Thai with faux chicken! (Hold the bean sprouts please) Order Spicy bean with fried tofu! This place is my favorite vegan restaurant, and I've been to many. Their yellow curry with chicken tofu is divine. I've tried their chicken with green bean, sweet potato fries, "buffalo chicken" skewers and their egg rolls. Ooh and of course their Thai iced coffee... REALLY wakes you up. Not sure if My Vegan - Eagle Rock is affiliated with any of it's fellow former relative (in name) locations like the former My Vegan Studio (in Studio City) or once My Vegan Gold (in Silverlake) but it definitely is for twining, no doubts needed with it's sib in Pasadena. If you don't know, My Vegan - ER is a thriving gem on Colorado Blvd, not to far from that groovy Trader Joe's and other local favorites. It's got a cool cornerside entrance off Argus Drive giving it a residential meets city blend in a trendy plaza parking lot. The dishes are 10/10 for dine in, but apparently just as amazing for takeout! My special someone and I take turns making dinner, but he was very much tired from a long work day so we said hey let's order out and we settled on My Vegan and we're really glad we did. Their Pad Thai is an instant and flavorful favorite of my guys and while many of their appetizers, such as the Impossible Fries, Fried Tofu, Vegetable Dumplings and Soy Chicken Drumstick (w/ Buffallo or BBQ please) to name a few also called out to me... I settled on their epic Supreme Fried Rice A delicious blend of fried brown rice, soy shrimp, soy chicken, soy beef, tofu, onions, peas, scallions, garlic, tomatoes and carrots. All the portions here are big - so much so we both had leftovers for lunch the next day (which hold up great). Between the soups, salads, noodle dishes, rice plates, sides, burgers, breakfast items, house specialities, and a la carte it can be hard to settle on a dish or two, but you can't go wrong with just about anything. Ever since it opened, White Springs has become a neighborhood staple, with many being regulars that stop by frequently. The food: My favorite menu item is the Tom Yum Noodle Soup where I substitute the vegan shrimp balls for tofu instead, at an extra mild spice level. It's my comfort food, for when days feel extra rough and I want a noodle soup that feels like a warm hug. My favorite appetizers are definitely the Chicken Satay (the texture is fantastic) and Spring Rolls. Over the years, I've also been able to try some of their curries, Roti, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Orange Chicken, among others. But the Tom Yum Noodle Soup is definitely my go to menu item that I'll consistently crave. Everything is always cooked with such care and is super flavorful, but still feels light and not overwhelmingly greasy. Everything else: Service is kind and I've always felt more than welcomed. During their busy hours, there might be a little of a wait, so I would advise some patience as everything is made fresh. They mostly do to go orders, so do not be deceived if there's no other folks dining with you! At this point in time, they do not have indoor dining, and have a couple tables set up outside, so it might not be suitable for a huge dinner party, if you do not provide them ample notice. I like that they use compostable containers though!! But yeah the rice is on the harder side especially as leftovers. But whatever, their main items are bomb and makes me not care about anything else. Service is quick! Note: it is not a sit down restaurant. You order (ahead) and park on the street and call them to let them know you're outside. They'll bring the food out. Reception isn't great outside fyi. I've been here 3 times and never last long enough to get a photo before digging in. There are two other vegan restaurants right next to it, same concept - order and pick up. Great for different options if one is craving Mexican from Cena or hot dogs from All franks.

The ice cream itself was plain vanilla soft serve, but when sandwiched by two entire chocolate chip cookies, I think the sweetness can be overpowering. Keep in mind that it also melts very fast (since it has the consistency of soft serve) and this makes it hard to keep the whole sandwich in shape. If you do not plan to eat it right away, I would not recommend getting this as it'll melt in a mere minute.
