This is the best new cafe in Redondo! We've been waiting for a breakfast place with lattes to open off Artesia and here it is! There is plenty of parking and seating which is always a plus when you are hungry on the weekends, and the food is soo good- actually some of the tastiest breakfast/brunch options we have had in the area. Had lunch with a friend here today. The breakfast burrito was delicious. Glad we decided to split this as it was a decent size. We also split the kale salad which was yummy. This cafe is amazing! Great food and they are a non profit job training adults with disabilities. The BLTA is one of the best I have ever had. The chipotle mayo really makes it better than others. The first time I visited Mychal's Cafe, I had a decent experience. The service was relatively quick, my order was accurate, and the food and drink were tasty enough. The second time, however, made sure it was the last time I'd be going here. We stood for about 15 minutes at the register while our order was being taken. If it's taking that long for a staff member to take an order, they should probably have someone looking over their shoulder and helping. Secondly, our order came out incredibly wrong. There were only 2 out of 5 items that came out correctly, which is just unacceptable. And to top it all off, there was a hair in one of the food items. Overall it was an awful experience for a $60 brunch and we won't be returning. read more

Food was incredible. I went two days in a row! I got an odd pairing of a breakfast sando and tomato bisque, but got a turkey sandwich the next day, and we also got a chicken pesto sandwich. Everything is 10/10 comfort food that is so beautiful and delicious, and healthy! The service was absolutely incredible. Everyone was so kind, got all of my pesky modifications (so sorry!!) done right, and my goodness were they fast. The peppermint mocha iced coffee was also incredible, however next time I may get a tad less milk. Very solid, no acidic watery taste. The crushed candy canes on top were so cute and added such a nice fresh flavor, I'm a huge peppermint fan. I wish I had taken a cuter picture! I would highly recommend everything we have ordered so far. The cafe is so large and clean and beautiful. The first day I brought my book and read for a while, it was so peaceful. Everyone made sure we had what we needed and I never had to get up from the table. 10/10 attentiveness, just handled with care. I cannot rave about the politeness and efficiency enough, genuinely. This place took me by surprise. This cafe for me, and I don't feel inclined to leave reviews often enough, let alone such positive ones, is what every American cafe should be like. It sets the standard for service, politeness, cleanliness, and my goodness is the food INCREDIBLE. I will definitely be back soon! Visited 11/23 and 11/24. read more

First off, the space is bright, spacious and inviting and the staff was incredibly welcoming, efficient and professional. This, coupled with the fact that the majority of the employees have developmental disabilities was enough reason enough for me to return. But what I wasn't expecting was the quality of the food. I had the heirloom tomato salad and my husband had the chicken pesto panini with a tabbouleh quinoa side. They were both absolutely DELICIOUS! So the mission of this place is so beautiful. I guess 85% of adults with disabilities are unemployed so there is a school that helps with job skills. This is the restaurant portion of that school, and the cooks and I guess often times the registrar are students too, but today the cooks. They brought us our meals which are quite good, so the entire experience is very endearing, and also just a really nice space. Check it out you will love it, do be patient though I guess at times it can take a little longer but ours was entirely reasonable. Going back asap. read more

This is the cutest little cafe! It's super clean, welcoming, and peaceful. The art on the wall was fantastic. The most important part was the food and the staff. I've been several times now with my family and everyone (even my pickiest eater) has cleaned their plate each time. We've tried everything from bakery items to the breakfast burritos to the egg breakfast to sandwiches, salads, and soups. We can't pick one favorite item because it's all delicious!
