    Medium Cheese Pizza with Pepperoni
    Darlene M.

My boyfriend raved about this pizza spot (Mythic Pizza) that he had stumbled upon with his friends. We finally got around to ordering a medium cheese pizza with pepperoni to-go. The restaurant itself is quite small and definitely gives hole in the wall vibes. I'm a huge pizza fan so I was already being hypercritical. We got our pizza fresh out the oven and took it home to enjoy. Upon opening the box we were pleasantly surprised at how large the medium pizza was. And for the price, it was well worth it! The crust is probably my favorite part, the bottom was light and crispy which is just the way I like it! The outer crust wasn't as fluffy as I thought it'd be but it was still delicious nonetheless! I do wish there they had added on more pepperoni but that's just my personal preference. I did make a note to myself that next time we ordered, we should get light cheese rather than regular because the regular was quite a lot of cheese that we ended up picking some off. I also really enjoyed their pizza sauce as it was much more seasoned than others I've had in the area. Mythic Pizza definitely has a couple of new fans in my household and since we're local, we'll be visiting again when we're craving pizza! If you're hosting a party or get together then I highly recommend ordering a couple large pizzas from here because the price, taste and portion size is well worth it!

I love a good pizza spot in San Francisco! Came here late last night after a night out with some friends. Wanted a slice of pizza that had vegetables and that was semi healthy. I ordered the "Athens" - (Pesto, Artichoke, Garlic). It was very delicious. The place is small on the inside but there is seating. 4 stars because the slice to price ratio is a little expensive for my liking AND ranch cup was $1-2 which I never seem to comprehend. However, that does not take away from the quality of the pizza. Slice was cooked to perfection and flavor was amazing.

I can see this really hittin after a night of drinking but otherwise....it's very light on the cheese and the dough is non existent. This is like the thinnest crust pizza I've ever had. Shouldn't thin mean a lot cheaper cause less ingredients? Hmmm someone gots some explaining to do

If you like thin crust this is the place. I love how juicy and flavorful the pizza is.

One of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco! I came here a couple times during the summer and each time I was so blown away by the pizza. All of the ingredients tasted so fresh and when it comes right out of the oven, the cheese and bread is just so chewy and melts in your mouth. It is just so delicious! It's not as good when it cools down so make sure to eat it right away :) The portions were also really big- 2 medium pizza fed 5 of us.

If you come here, make sure they charge you appropriately as they like to charge more than the price listed on the menu.

Voted the worst pizza in sf. The pizza is a step up from frozen pizza from the store! Frozen sausages the salami look l brown and old.

I don't know what I expected from the clam and garlic slice, but the flavor wasn't overwhelming from either ingredient, however it was delicious. Guy at that counter was friendly and worked efficiently. After we ordered, it took 10 minutes to get our slices and we ate immediately. The slices were above room temp (so I know it was reheated), but it nowhere near hot. The dough is very thick, but had a very soft chew and zero crunch. The garlic and clam was a great taste, but it's hard to enjoy what essentially felt like a slice of focaccia that was reheated for 15 seconds in a microwave. Again, I have to believe something was terribly wrong with our order, especially after looking at the reviews and seeing the Dave Portnoy review. Maybe it was placed in a cold oven? Maybe someone put a bunch of slices in the oven at different times and accidentally pulled out the newest addition to the oven and served it to us?? Is it all hype??!! Either way, our trip is too short make a second go to sort it out.

Unfortunately, there ended up being an issue with part of our order, but before we even had the chance to say anything, the team had already taken care of it for us. That honestly stood out to me more than anything. There was no awkward back and forth, no need for us to complain or ask for anything. They noticed something wasn't up to their standard and immediately made it right on their own. That level of customer service, especially on our first visit, was such a great surprise. And the pizza itself was SO good. We ended up having the pepperoni and what I believe was a vodka cheese slice, and absolutely loved both. Great pizza, even better people, and the kind of customer service that makes you want to come back. I unfortunately didn't catch everyone's names, but huge shoutout to the team working today. You guys made an amazing first impression. We'll definitely be back!

No flop Was craving…read moresome pizza and stopped by for a few slices. Order at the counter, and they heat up the slices for you. Mostly went for the thin crust. They make things crisp here. The pizza has charred edges like Neapolitan which adds a nice smokey flavor. The crust has zero flop and a nice golden crust on top. Sauce has a tough of sweetness. I also enjoyed their use of fresh basil and the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano they throw on at the end. It's kinda like a new york slice, but a little gourmet? Very tasty for sure. Critiques: First off, each slice is $6-7, which is a bit steep. Maybe times have changed, but this is def not a budget meal, especially if you are eating multiple slices. Second, some of their already crispy slices have been sitting on display for some time and completely cooled down. When these slices are then reheated, there is a bit of an overcooked taste? Lastly, they only have a few topping options and the quantity of toppings on each slice (especially protein) is pretty sparse. I also ordered a slice of the Sicilian as well to mix things up. It was good, but the crust was just a touch too greasy for me.

When we arrived, our waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable about the beers, but honestly, that wasn't a big deal. My boyfriend ordered his pizza while I was still deciding what I wanted. His pizza came out very quickly, which we had no complaints about. The issue started when we had barely been seated for about 15 minutes. I went to the restroom, and while I was gone, the waitress approached my boyfriend while he literally had pizza in his mouth and a full beer in front of him and told him, "My chef said to charge you." He was confused but said okay because it made us wonder if they were closing. I checked the hours, and they weren't supposed to close until 10 PM--it was barely around 9 PM. I HADN'T EVEN ORDERED MY FOOD YET. I was still planning on ordering my own pizza, dessert, and a drink. Instead, we suddenly felt like we were being rushed to pay and leave. What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
