$100 nails , chipped nail polish after 2 days

*UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLY* Thank you for taking the time to respond. As mentioned in our text conversation, I understand that add-ons are priced separately. My concern was not that designs cost extra, but that the full pricing was not clearly communicated to me before the service was completed. In my experience, most salons are transparent about additional design costs and provide a total estimate before beginning the service. I have not previously encountered a situation where pricing for add-ons was not clearly disclosed upfront, so this was unexpected for me. I'd also like to clarify that I was not charged for a removal because there was nothing to remove . I came in with fresh, clean, natural nails. So the total strictly reflects the builder gel and added designs. While I understand the pricing breakdown you provided, my main concern remains the overall result and longevity for the price paid. The cat eye effect is barely visible, and the gold lining shown in the inspiration photo is missing from my set. Unfortunately, my nails also chipped after just a couple of days. I've attached the inspiration photo compared to my final result, and I believe the inspo vs. reality picture speaks for itself. At this price point, which reflects a more luxury-level service, I also expected a more complete experience overall. Even small finishing touches , such as offering lotion at the end , were not included. When paying premium prices, I believe the service and details should align with that standard. As I've mentioned in our text messages, I understand that fixes may be offered, but with work and a busy schedule, it's not always realistic to return for corrections. When I leave an appointment (especially at this price point) I expect my nails to last a reasonable amount of time without needing to come back so soon. After reading other recent reviews mentioning similar concerns about pricing and durability, it seems I'm not the only one who has experienced this. -------------------------------------------- This place used to be my go-to for several years, so I was a little surprised by my recent visit. I came in for builder gel with a cat eye design, one small flower, and two tips. I didn't have any polish on beforehand, so it was a fresh appointment with no removal needed. Before starting, they mentioned checking their website for pricing, which lists services around $63-69. My total ended up being $99 ($5 tip) which was higher than I expected for what felt like a pretty simple set. I may have misunderstood how the add-ons are priced, but it did catch me off guard. Unfortunately, my polish chipped after two days, which was also disappointing. The pricing feels inconsistent and overly expensive for the quality received. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

We have been coming here for nails set Jennie was always the one doing my nails but she was fully booked. Then the next nail tech available was CHARLY, she was very rude talking to me and i was not happy with her work. I was asking her to help me with the colors, showed her the photo of what my preference was but did not even help instead she told me to just pick whatever and shell put it. I felt rushed, end up disappointed and not contented with her work.

Jenny did my nails and I have no complaints! She copied my inspo picture perfectly and tweaked anything I wanted. She also checked in with me throughout the whole process to make sure I loved everything. Super sweet and attentive love how my nails turned out!

I texted the phone number listed a day prior to schedule an appointment for acrylics, they responded back quickly and friendly. Walked in and was greeted right away. Only had to sit for a short moment before the chair was ready. I loved Kelsey's work. She made sure I liked the shape and length, also gave me suggestions since I had not gotten my nails done in many years so I am really not familiar with all the new stuff the outcome looks pretty spot on with the inspo pic I showed her. I would definitely come back, especially since it's literally across the street from my house!

I've been going to this salon frequently since 2023 and honestly this was the nail in the coffin for me. I only came here because I was in a rush to get my nails done for my vacation or else I would've gone to a private nail tech. I had requested a square shape and was expecting it to be very sharp but instead I got a bulky 2000's nail shape. I've been trying to convince myself that they're cute but they're just not! I've never hated a set of nails this much, I can't even look at them and admire them. I didn't ask what my nail techs name was because she didn't make me comfortable enough to talk to her. She did not make conversation with me at all during our session. While she was filing my nail beds with her drill she hurt me multiple times to the point my nail beds would burn. On my middle finger, the one with the nail off, she hurt me so bad I yanked my finger back from her drill and said "ow" and everyone looked at me but none of the staff asked if I was okay. She did not even apologize. She also left acrylic under my nails which doesn't look professional or pretty at all. I asked for a letter on my nail and she didn't give me an option of colors which they usually do so she picked out the silver for me. When she stuck on the letter she looked at it and noticed that it was crooked and tried taking it off but ultimately decided to leave it there and let me leave with a crooked sticker instead of properly fixing it. I left her a $0 tip. I will not be coming back here. Spend your money elsewhere! They don't care about you here.

I always loved coming here because I have never been disappointed until now :( . I used to come almost every other month but took a break from doing my nails for awhile now, and I finally came back to treat a friend out. I understand things are more expensive now but I paid $130 ($10 tip) for a gelx set w/ designs. Barely lasted a week! This was the most expensive set I've gotten with them and it saddens me it barely lasted. Usually it would stay on for weeks or even over a month.

Stellar job--amazing quality and didn't take all day. I used to go to another bigger local spot, yet the art was questionable and services were somehow more expensive than at Nü Nails. The pictures attached are about a week of wear already but still look brand new. I plan on becoming a regular!

Love coming here! Just text the number on the instagram or yelp and they'll get back to you quick! I last minute wanted to get my lashes done and a pedicure, and they were able to see within 45 mins! Everyone is super friendly and they always do such a great job. I love my lashes and I'm usually happy with my nails. They are a bit on the pricey side but I think it's worth it for the service and quality. read more

NU Nails did an amazing job on my cat eye almond nails! The design came out so pretty, and they really paid attention to detail. They were also super gentle and patient while removing my Gel-X. My natural nails always break after a removal but NU nails did a great job at making sure my nails weren't filed down too thin. read more

COCO NAIL's IS BOMB!!! Lilly is the best along with the rest of the girl's. She has made me soo comfortable with getting my pedi! The cleanliness is soo well done. They take great care of their customers. Customer service is top tier. Her work is awesome!! I'm so happy that I stopped at her shop. I Was always very hesitant but I'm glad I changed nail shop's. Went to this shop because my usual nail tech was not available. I got hard gel with tips and this purple French with flower design. I was not expecting to pay $105 for this x-small set when I've never paid more than $85 with my tech with other complex designs. Overall had an okay experience here - would rate it a 3.5. We were able to easily schedule an appointment via text with salon. We did have to put a deposit down as we were a group of 2 to hold our time, but upon checkout that amount was used towards payment. When we got there, there was only one other person getting their nails done. Between three staff, they were able to work on us for mani+pedis both. They have a variety of polish colors and reasonable prices. However, the actual experience it self was average. The exfoliating scrub was a bit rough given it's intensity applied & the hot stone massage was pretty hot. The actual massage itself wasn't anything great & we paid for the manicure service with a 5 minute one but wasn't worth it. When it came to nails being painted, I mentioned my thumb nail was cracked so if possible to glue it, that'd be great. They did, however, within 8 hours, the crack came back. As mentioned, an okay experience - might come back again in the future but also could consider looking elsewhere. Maybe will give it another shot read more

I did a walk in for gel X removal. It wasn't busy so I was seated immediately. She thinned it out w/ the drill, soaked my hand in acetone & then drilled any remaining pieces. She also filed my nails and put cuticle oil. This took only 15 min and the price was only $15! The place is really cute and has a bright interior. There's lots of parking in the plaza as well. Fast service, good quality & great price? I'll definitely be back again! read more

If you want to be talked sh*t about right in front of your face, because they didn't realize you understand & speak Vietnamese also, this is the place to be. I've been going here for a while & it was good until I got Kelsey today. Of course I would hear the gossiping & talking sh*t, but it didn't bother me too much. But today I had enough & confronted them after listening for 45 minutes. They had the audacity to say I misunderstood, because they were talking sh*t about another customer. I heard them not only talk about someone else but also about to me to my face. So talking sh*t about another customer makes it okay? And then they said they have cameras in the store & can show me the recording. I don't need to watch a video of me being disrespected. I already sat there patiently listening while getting my nails done hoping Kelsey would change her tune. She's so nice speaking to me in English but turns around & badmouths me in Vietnamese. If I didn't understand Vietnamese, I would have never known she was disrespecting me. There's some reviews on Yelp saying the staff members are sweet & friendly. That's because you all don't understand what they're saying in a different language. read more

Mimi was on vacation so they put me with another nail tech - really unfortunate because the nail tech put on lumpy nail polish...I got a bit of a sheer color so some nails were completely see through and some nails weren't. The shaping was also okay, and she didn't do much work on my cuticles so it didn't look like I got a manicure. read more

I was conflicted writing this because Nü Nails has done some of the most beautiful gel x nails I've ever seen. Sadly, I've been really disappointed by their recent service. I normally love how quick the girls are to finish your mani/pedi but in my past few visits, it's felt like they've been rushing. It shows up as them cutting your skin with the electric file, sloppy gel application & uneven nail shapes. I recently removed my gel x nails to let my natural nails rest. For context - I've only ever gone to this salon for the past 4 months and I come back regularly to change polish or fill my sets. Today I asked for a regular gel mani. My nails had not grown out a lot and were still nicely shaped from my previous appointment. After my manicure today was done (context: I was still sitting in the chair and they were applying cuticle oil), I noticed that there were (1) chips in the polish, (2) bubbles on 3 nails, (3) polish was thick on some parts of my nail and thin in others and (4) my nail shapes were wonky and uneven. I'm super disappointed. If you can get your nails done at the table, I would recommend it but having it done by the pedicure station makes for a bad manicure. read more

Well... I didn't think that spending hours in a salon was my idea of a good time, but I always come back to Coco! Lily took great care of me with getting acrylics a few times and gel X once. They're always super accommodating when it comes to booking but I take a star off because I always have to wait 10-20 mins when I get there, even with appointment. Overall, great experience. I love Lily's careful work and she never rushes. A little self-care never hurt anybody. read more

I went in for a model appointment with Michelle and she did such an amazing job! I included my reference photo and a video of what my nails looked like after the appointment. I was so happy about how they turned out exactly like what I was hoping for! Michelle was super sweet and the most gentle nail tech I've had the experience of working with. The vibe of the salon itself is elegant and lively. I felt like I was super well taken care of and I would definitely come again, as I have in the past as well! PSA don't get nail designs here.. might save your time. I've gone to this place long term never really had an issue and honestly they're decent. I called before coming in so they can manage their schedule accordingly. They got me in at 2pm. Ended up waiting an HOUR. Really wasn't a problem bc I don't mind the wait & maybe they're a little backed up. Told the nail tech no gel x I don't like my nail thick. POV these are my actual nail not acrylics. I grow them out to avoid having bulky looking nails. POV the nails aren't horrible but they also aren't great. I explained I didn't like the nail polish layers and the girl sat me down and I thought she was gonna fix me up but she THEN proceeded to try and add more nail polish top coat to me I had to stop her realizing there is a language barrier and she isn't understanding me. So when you go in probably tell them Exactly what you do and don't want. I gave an inspo pic but they just slapped stickers on me. Didn't make me aware they couldn't deliver the exact look I wanted upfront. End of appointment I stated my opinion I don't like them and will be having someone else fix them. All they could is deduct the sticker fee $10. Which it's appreciated but still not convenient since I have to go redo them. But yea they charged me full price in the end. Been coming here since I was in middle and I'm now 20. Definitely come here the price is worth it! I only paid $72 for my nails with cash but they last A LONG TIME. Never had a broken nail since coming here. Staff are always nice and friendly and Kathy makes sure you're attended to quick! Love this place. read more

Hate writing bad reviews but I paid $100+ for a new acrylic set that didn't even last a day. Poor quality of work done and felt rush. The caliber of design I got should've taken a minimum of 2.5 hrs but I got done in a little over 1.5 hrs. Both me and my friend's nails didn't last a few days which was super disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. read more

This place is a bit overpriced for what you get. Service is decent, no drinks offered, shop does look cute. Workers do chat a lot. They also don't add the bubble/jet nor color/salt to the water. Cost for a gel pedicure is $68 after tip. read more

They are always very friendly and accommodating for a walk-in appointment. The salon is hygienic and clean. They also have a very nice selection of gel polish colors, especially cateye colors. I recently had an ingrown toenail (my first ever in 33 years) after my latest visit but the owner was quick to help communicate this with the nail tech doing my pedicure so it doesn't happen again. This made me feel very understood and respected as a regular customer here. The owner also tries to remember the regulars at the salon and always offer a warm welcoming, which is very nice of her. They offer a discount for cash payments, but also accept Venmo (even for tips) while credit card has a small charge. I think their prices are very reasonable and definitely cheaper than the last salon I went to before switching to Pedi Nail Lounge. There is a large shared parking lot in front so plenty of parking nearby. I also like that there is a coffee shop (Blvd coffee), food spot (Chispiro's) and Lucky Grocery store right next door that makes the location extremely convenient for me. 5/5 , definitely recommend if you're looking for a new nail salon

Although the plaza can be busy due to the supermarket, there is plenty of parking available. I appreciated not having to worry about finding a spot or having to park far away. I love this nail shop! I've been coming to this salon for 8 months and have consistently loved my nails. All the techs are super nice and constantly check in with you to see if you like the shape, design and color! The one reason I will continue to go back? They do not use MMA in their nail products. I've gone to so many salons in the past 2 years that still use cheap nail supplies such as acrylic and liquid. How do I know? Because I took my acrylics off and after soaking they didn't become all gummy gel like MMA nail shops but rather just buffed off easily.
