Good people. It is not new and most of chairs are worn and they look worn but not dirty I watch them clean out every basin and even the owner when it's busy. but service is great and the pedicure with the massage are the best. They have a timer so you don't feel cheated I get so many compliments on my nails and I like that they use the nail file and not all the drill. If your looking for classy new chairs then you need to maybe go down the block but if your looking for a milk bath and yogurt mask and coconut oil hot stone foot massage products and a great experience. Stop in.

Review is NOT for service - I've received nothing but excellent service here…read more My review is for the fact that I did not agree to renew a wax pass (they are very relentless with asking you to renew and take advantage of the special promotion - which seems to be offered year round) and was charged for it anyway - over $600. I did not notice the renewal right away since the first charge was in December and I had a service on December 22, planning for that to be my last wax after 20+ years as a loyal EWC customer. That charge appeared on my January statement (which I received in late January); I assumed it was for the December service. I noticed the 2nd charge on my February statement, which I didn't review right away. Everyone in my household had covid and a lot of everyday tasks slipped for a while. I called at the end of March to say "Hi, can we please take care of this" and the answer I finally got today from the location manager was, Nope, since I didn't call within 30 days of the first charge. I didn't even know about the first charge within 30 days! So, I guess this is on me - $600 worth of waxing which I will never use - for not being zealous about checking my credit card statement.

I have been going here for years and one minute will lose a client for a lifetime. Reception and rule should be adjusted and I will be spreading the news. We try to support our black owned businesses but it's times like this which makes me hesitate when supporting these black owned businesses. It's almost seems like desperation.

Two weeks ago, I had my lips dissolved with my preferred specialist, Monica, and booked a refill appointment for October 4 at 12pm with Kelly (since Monica was out of office). I started my commute from NYC to the Verona location, but found it odd I never received a reminder -- so I called, only to learn that my appointment was never actually booked, despite scheduling it over the phone 2.5 weeks ago. They managed to squeeze me in later in the day with Megan. However, when I arrived just five minutes past their 10-minute grace period (after calling ahead to let them know I'd be slightly late), I was told I had missed my appointment and the most she could offer was a conversation -- not the actual service. I found this incredibly disappointing and frustrating, especially given the effort it takes to travel from NYC without a car, and the fact that I've been a loyal client for years. It's unfortunate to end things on this note, but I can no longer recommend Montclair Rejuvenation Center after today's experience.

Detailed Account of Negligent Service Formal Complaint…read moreRegarding Negligent Eyebrow Waxing Service and Subsequent Skin Damage Service Performed: Eyebrow Shaping and Waxing Time of Service: April 2025, Esthetician: T. Result: Severe skin damage requiring immediate medical attention, resulting in prolonged physical and professional inconvenience. During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. Broken Financial Commitment: The business owner promised in written format to reimburse all current and future dermatology visit fees related to this injury. However, the owner failed to follow through on this commitment, and all subsequent attempts to contact them regarding payment have been ignored. Lack of Response to Third Party: I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the business owner did not respond to the inquiry at all, demonstrating a profound lack of professionalism and accountability. This incident reflects a severe lapse in professional standards, commitment, and customer care. I have suffered a painful and lasting physical injury, permanent damage to my left eyebrow, and significant inconvenience due to the negligence of the esthetician and the subsequent failure of the business owner to uphold their financial commitment and basic professional responsibility.

Upon arrival, patients must wait in their car and send a text notification to a designated phone…read morenumber. As soon as the office is ready for you, staff will come to your car and escort you in. You must wear a mask. I usually arrive a few hours before my appointment time, so I have no complaints about wait times. I first became a patient of Dr. Downie 16 years ago when I was living in NJ and her office was at another location in Montclair. I needed a doctor who specializes in the treatment of African skin, which easily scars and hyperpigments. A few customers in my hair braider's shop recommended her. Dr. Downie successfully treated my melasma because I have not since had a recurrence. Dr. Downie is both my medical and cosmetic dermatologist. I drive over and hour and a half from Eastern Long Island to see her. She has performed on me many cosmetic procedures, which beautify my skin. I use the skin and hair products she recommends. My scars have reduced significantly, and my hair is now growing like wildfire. I have never received more compliments from strangers about my image. All staff are friendly and professional. I will continue patronizing Image Dermatology because of the stellar treatment that I get here.
