Stumbled on this spot just by driving by and spotting a big "VEGAN" sign -- immediate U-turn energy NAMI Bakery is such a hidden gem. It's a little tucked away (we actually thought we were at the wrong building at first), but once you find it... wow. A fully vegan bakery/café with so many fun, hard-to-find treats. Think vegan donuts, dreamy bagels with herby cream cheeses, cozy coffee + teas, and those nostalgic dessert moments -- like McFlurry/Blizzard-style creations and even root beer floats (!!). They've got a mix of indulgent and feel-good options, which I love. The space is small but super cute, with a few cozy spots inside and little seating areas front + back. Total neighborhood gem vibes. Service was warm, everything felt thoughtfully made, and my husband and I were already planning our next visit before we left. So good. So worth finding.
Absolutely amazing vegan spot for coffee/craft lattes, breakfast, ice cream, and delectable baked goods!! The brownie and tasmanian cupcake were not too bad. I wouldn't go back but i did enjoy the desserts. the matcha latte was unfortunately one of the worst i've had, it was grainy and brown. i ordered a matcha latte with agave and strawberry. I didn't finish a quarter of it, and it was 7-8 dollars. The employees were okay! Overall a very average experience.
We love their Tsoynami's which are comparable to thick milk shakes. These are homemade with real natural ingredients. There's many options to order from or create your own. They also have a variety of homemade pastries coming out hourly; donuts, cheesecake, cookies, cupcakes, and so much more! They serve coffee and homemade organic chai!! They also have a breakfast menu which include giant breakfast burritos(several choices). They prioritize high quality ingredients because they truly care! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I've been taking my kids here for over a decade. I highly recommend a visit!
Nami is hands-down my favorite spot for vegan dessert. Yes, the soft serve can be a little pricey, but honestly it's worth every spoonful if you find what you're hankering for -- light, fresh, rich, and so much to choose from. They always have fun specials on the board but look at all the menus on the counter too. The variety of bakery keeps it exciting, and I love that it never tastes overly heavy no matter what I get. It's my go-to treat when I want something indulgent especially ice cream during summer. My favorites are (all gluten free) the bundts, donuts, soft serve of life's a peach with vanilla, fruity with strawberry mixed berry and chocolate syrup with swirl, rocky road (very chocolatey) and the orange creamsicle (very sweet though). Nami is the cutest little vegan dessert spot and it is busy!! At least it was on a Tuesday evening when I went there! And I can tell why because they have scrumptious vegan delights and vegan soft serve -- I love a good soft serve. My friend and I walked over to Nami after eating dinner at Green New American and at first we only noticed the specials above the counter, but there was a whole other menu when we got up to the front so it was so hard to decide! My friend had the chick o stick special -- I can't remember what else was in it but I think it was vegan chocolate chips? I had the chocolate cake with swirled soft serve -- that was so good I can't remember the full name I was too busy eating and getting a brain freeze to remember LOL. There was a nice buzz inside and everyone was very friendly -- who wouldn't be eating delicious sweets. By the time we left there was a line out the door and standing room only. While we were eating our soft serve specials I noticed that they have an amazing vegan breakfast menu, so obviously I will be coming back to check that out!! Overall I was very impressed.
I'm here writing again since I've been back many times since I wrote my review one year ago. I gotta say I used to be obsessed with this place but it's gone slightly down, but just slightly. I find that if I don't have great toppings/mix-ins then it's just an okay tsoynami, because there's only three flavors (vanilla and chocolate and swirl). And it's plant based so it's lighter which I appreciate but it's just different than regular dairy ice cream. I love how they have new combos to try out, most times they're not gluten free but sometimes they are! I will say I always appreciate the about of gluten free mix ins, the gluten free wafers are my favorite. They had a chocolate hard shell at one point and I loved that but they got rid of it so quickly, not sure why it couldn't stay. Their pastries are also tasty, love the cheesecake that happens to be gluten free! There's also a cookie creme sandwich that even I think is too sweet, only need a few bites of that one. All employees are always so nice. There's typically seating but if you go on weekend night, the line can get long really fast. Indie, vibrant vibes inside, it's cool. Super nice stop after a meal at green!
Nami is a classic spot for me and my girlfriend. We usually come for the vegan ice cream (we're not vegan, it's just really good) or we grab coffee and walk around the beautiful neighborhoods nearby. The staff is always so kind and quick with preparing our order. To be honest, I haven't had any of their food yet, but if you're looking for a fun sweet treat for a date or early coffee & scenic walk, this is a great spot to hit up.
This review is for the dessert only. I eat dairy free and rarely get to enjoy an ice cream- let alone one that is full of tasty treats. There are plenty of gluten free options here as well. I ordered the rocky road tsoynami which was very tasty. At first it seemed like the add ins were only on the top, but to my delight they were mixed in throughout the ice cream. The service was friendly and prompt. I will say the seating options are limited as it is a small place and the chairs aren't the most comfortable so I wouldn't plan on staying a super long time.
If you have not been to Nami, this is your sign to give this place a shot! Nami is all vegan bakery and coffee shop. I love the soy ice creams here. Baked goods are also available here and they're delicious as well. Recommend the cookies and cream but I prefer the plain vanilla. It's so creamy and great for a hot day. Service is always nice and we are able to get our orders quickly. It's a small bakery shop with cool and interesting art.
Update Review Nami's has been very consistent with their drinks and pastries. Every time I go here, I love how they do things. Cookie Butter Bliss- This drink is seasonal. I wish they can keep this as a secret menu like Colados not far away. The main difference is they use cold brew coffee with cookie butter. I asked to add almond milk to mine. I wish they would have a larger size. Worth it for cookie butter fans that can't have dairy! The Hunk- They have been consistent with this pastry with shredded coconut. Overall Nami's is great place to go. The Giving Tree next door is permanently closed. Just go next door to The Green American which is also I believe owned by Nami's.

For it being vegan amazing but if this place was not a vegan facility I would rate these desserts lower. They were not bad by no means but you are getting a vegan dessert it satisfied my sweet tooth but definitely not as good as regular dessert places. But service was so so so amazing and it's such a cute lil place!!! When I'm with my vegan friend I will never say no to going. read more

Nami is the perfect place for a delicious breakfast. I love the Country Breakfast Burrito and the caramel mockiatto! The staff is always so kind and speedy! I love the small coffee shop vibe they have going with beautiful art from local artists available for purchase! We have also stopped in for a late night treat and you really can't go wrong with any of the ice cream flavors! My favorite is the peach cobbler! read more
If I ever leave a review for their neighbor vegetarian restaurant "Green," you'll see me review Nami as well. That's because I've never been in that parking lot without being drawn to the oatmeal cream cookies at Nami. It's easily my favorite vegan cookie and most definitely my favorite $5 cookie, lol. They are huge, though, so one typically lasts a couple of days. They have many other drinks and sweets to satisfy your desire. They are on the spendy side. Try one, and you'll understand. read more

Seriously, I haven't written a review for Nami yet? Sigh. I have too many words to share and for awhile had basically a standing order, but the bottom line is: yes. Yes to everything! My frequent go-tos are the Nami McBagel and whatever cake slices are handy. Nami Cakes and Winkies are constant favorites. Full cakes for events: yes. Breakfast potatoes: yes. This was the first vegan place we tried in Phoenix and cannot recommend it enough. The burrito was absolutely delicious. The desserts were so good. We had dogs and we sat outside in the patio. They have a nice sitting area in the patio. The servers were super nice. We will definitely go back here when we go to Phoenix again. read more
Nami is hands down the best restaurant in the valley to pick up a delicious vegan breakfast. We have tried quite a few of their breakfast items and all has been great so far. We are now addicted to our favorites which are the Ding Dang Burrito, the Biscuits & Gravy, and our kids love their donuts, which are always changing. Since COVID they have been exclusively open for pickup orders. Their system is wonderful and they are always on time. The only thing that could make this place better is if they opened one in the east valley! This place is so freaking good!!!!!!!! Before I went vegan I considered myself to be a biscuits and gravy connoisseur of sorts. Every time I went to a breakfast spot, if they offered biscuits and gravy I ordered it. I have tried a LOT of biscuits and gravy in my day. After going vegan I just assumed I'd never eat biscuits and gravy again. Sad, but not as sad as the fate of animals being slaughtered for human enjoyment... Until Nami came into my life. Beautiful Nami. I went for the first time yesterday and ordered the biscuits and gravy with the potatos and tofu scramble on the side. O m g. The first bite I took I swore I could have heard angels singing. It is so f*****ing delicious. Just as delicious as most biscuits and gravy I've had, and MORE delicious than some. I stumbled across this place via the Internet because of a desperation for a vegan breakfast which is not as easy as it sounds to find. A lot of vegan breakfast type places are sit down restaurants. I just wanted to grab some food and go back to my place. Believe me, it's easier said than done. I gave them a call and let them know I wanted two Basic B Burritos, and they quoted me 15 minutes for pickup, which was perfect driving distance/time for me. I arrived and the place was empty except for one family outside on the patio. It was also early in the morning, so I wasn't surprised. My burritos were piping hot, freshly made and I was very excited to dig into one. I also got an iced coffee with soy milk to go and I am very very picky about my iced coffee. I like it strong but smooth, I don't want to feel like I'm drinking watered-down coffee. This coffee hit the spot, it was strong, smooth, it was rich and I enjoyed every sip of it. When I got home I broke into one of the burritos instantly loved the toasted softness of the tortilla. The inside was loaded with the most flavorful, well seasoned tofu scramble and soft scrumptious potatoes. It also had melted vegan cheese which again, I'm not a fan of vegan cheese but it was a perfect combination. I was absolutely stuffed after eating half of this burrito. It's been a very long time since I've had a decent vegan breakfast burrito which is a shame and also a shocker. This one definitely filled a big (burritoless) hole in my heart. read more
I once read somewhere that scientifically, there's a nutritional reason why people crave the texture of soft serve so much. ...I mean, I don't know if it's true but I can sure tell you that Nami's tsoynami's satisfies that itch a hundred times over :) I don't know who came up with the idea of having Green and Nami next to each other, but they did a damn good thing. I've biked to Nami more than once for a pick-me-up on a hot day and, when we had dinner at Green, it felt like a missed opportunity if we didn't grab a tsoynami, too! You really can't go wrong with any of their flavors and they're always coming out with new ones; but my absolute favorite is their butterfinger-inspired mix. The soft serve isn't too sweet, the mix-ins are the perfect amount, and it just satisfies a deep part of my soul. Ugh, sublime. Whether you've got dietary restrictions/allergies or not, this place serves some rockin' desserts. read more
I don't make it to midtown much anymore but we were in the neighborhood and thought we'd stop into Nami for a treat. The vegan desert and coffee bar counterpart to Green never disappoints. When we arrived the "ice cream" wasn't working so we perused the bakery case. There was an oatmeal cream pie that looked pretty amazing. Then the ice cream started working so we got a s'mores tsoynami. It was amazing--marshmallow, crumbly chunks of gram cracker, chocolate syrup. I appreciate there is indoor and outdoor seating and the baristas are masked. Parking is a bit of a pain--the driveways are one way but people aren't real great about noticing that. read more

I had Nami and Green cater my brother's 60th birthday. My guests were blown away by the food! They raved about the Street Burger Sliders, the couscous salad, rich dips with braised carrots and veggies, BBQ wing skewers, and more. My guests really freaked out over the moist and scrumptious cake and mini cupcakes! Everyone loved had seconds and some people absconded with cupcakes for later! The funniest part of the event was that no one even knew or could tell that the meal and desserts were plant based. People had no idea that plant based could taste so good! It was fun to tell my guests after they indulged in this amazing meal, and hear their surprise at learning the meal was plant based! The service was super. They were on time, they set everything up, provided instructions on keeping food warm, left us ample plates napkins and cutlery, and were so courteous and nice. Nami and Green made it so easy! The party was a huge success! I cannot wait to have another party, so I can have Nami and Green cater my event! Cake!! I recommend Nami and Green for your next event! A++ read more

There's something about anywhere on the west side of the states that just puts me in a good, vibeful mood. I visited Nami during a quick layover in Phoenix and enjoyed every bite of my meal! I had my eye on Nami for a few weeks while mapping out what I would do during my time and after reading the amazing reviews, this is where I would spend my time. I ordered the country breakfast burrito and a side of the wings because I just had to try those too. The employee was like "Do you want them in the burrito" and I'm like helllss yea! He completely read my mind cuz I was quite indecisive and couldn't decide between the country breakfast burrito and the wings ding dang burrito, so yes, throw them in the burrito! And my, was that the one of the best meal decisions I had ever made (thanks to the employee) because that burrito was BOMB! It was ~$10 + ~$4 for the wings, but it was so worth it and absolutely filling! I noticed the food was coming from the restaurant next door, Greens, so I wonder if they're partnered. My time was way too short in Phoenix, but coming back is a must and Nami will definitely be on my restaurant list cuz now I have to try these pastries and soft serve that I've read so much about! read more

Ok, I have to start off by saying that I really really wanted to like this place when I went in. It's adorable and awesome for people with dietary restrictions or even just dietary preferences. I went in on a Saturday around 1:00 pm and was thankfully able to snag a parking spot in the back lot. However, it looked like everything else was taken so be aware of possible parking issues when you drop by! I was more in a coffee mood than a tsoynami mood so I went with the caramel mockiato. It was a bit pricey, rounding up to about ~$6.00. Unfortunately, the taste did not justify the price in this case. I've had vegan desserts/coffees at other establishments and have never had such a disappointing experience. My friend ordered a tea which was fine but once again the price was a bit high for the actual flavor and taste. The pastries and cakes seemed a bit dry so we decided not to try them, but maybe the tsoynamis are much better than the coffee that they offer. We stopped here for dessert on our way home from dinner & we were pleasantly surprised by all the options available! Both tsoynamis were the perfect amount of sweetness! The sizes were pretty large, so if you are just coming from a meal I would recommend sharing. My husband couldn't resist the oatmeal cookie sandwich, and he has been talking about it for days since our visit! read more

Wow, there are so many options here. You should Know they serve a vegan soy and coconut based soft serve ice cream with a dizzying array of toppings. They also have donuts and breakfast and brunch foods along with coffee. I appreciate the variety of options they have and I also appreciate they are trying to do something different, like providing vegan treats. Holy hell this place is heaven. It's all vegan but I'm also GF so I bought literally every single gluten free baked good they had to take home as well as the rocky road vegan GF ice cream *drool* The doughnuts are cakes which is how I love them, the yankee (snicker) doodle cookie was much better than I even expected but the best thing I had was their cheese cake which came with fresh berry topping. I mean truly wow, the best cheesecake. Also they have a parking lot with plenty of space so it's nice and easy to pickup. read more

Meh, the icecream definitely doesn't taste as good as it looks. Pretty disappointed especially after spending $17 on two of them. So expensive for hardly anything in the cup, practically a kids size and lacks flavor. read more
I am obsessed. I wish that there was a place like this local to me, but Nami and its sister restaurant next-door makes me want to move to Phoenix. My husband and I have been trying to eat more plant-based and ended up frequenting the spot for dinner and lunch. It was so great. Having amazing dairy free options is hard to come by and this blew me away. We got the fluffernutter, and I think I died and went to heaven. The marshmallows were especially a treat, made from tapioca, and had such an amazing consistency. I loved everything about this place: the service was amazing, the ladies behind the counter were awesome and it is a really chill and inviting space. Do not miss this if you are visiting Phoenix! Nami has been one of my all time favorite ice cream places in Phoenix. I love that they are dairy free! They have tons of combos to choose from but I love building my own. I always get the vanilla base (better than chocolate) with banana, peanut butter, and coffee grounds or pecans. I highly recommend. It's in a cute area and they have lots of other food options as well. Parking is kinda crazy but they have a dirt lot that can be used if the behind the store parking is full. The gluten-free donuts are amazing. Grabbed a rich and moist chocolate one with a light frosting drizzle and peanuts for a birthday breakfast for the hubby, really good and not too sweet. Also love building a custom soynami, currently I'm liking a vanilla with bananas and their organic peanut butter which tastes like it is freshly ground, also good with an added drizzle of chocolate syrup! read more
Quick ... we stopped here got a strawberry cupcake, carrot cake cupcake and chai donut (only thing that was soy free and gluten free) to be clear the Chai was the only item that did not have soy. We were in and out 5 minutes tops! They were delicious ate them on the car ride they were supposed to be desert! Only complaint: The driving area is so narrow that you would not want to be in a vehicle like we were in, a big Pick Up Denali Truck.... Had to be extra very careful getting out of there! read more

What are the "must-try" or the best menu items here?
Definitely the tsoft-serve! Any of the sundae flavors are amazing! The butterfinger dupe is absolutely incredible and is hands down my favorite!
Do they have any oil-free options?
The baked goods are not oil free, but the ice cream creations are. You'd have to get oil free toppings as well... so no cookies n cream or peanut butter, etc.
Do they have anything gluten free here?
lots of options! they always have gf baked goods, ice cream, granola, cookie dough...on and on!
Does this place adhere to the hours posted? I've been twice now in the evening and they were inexplicably closed. Bummer because the other time we visited their machine was…
They do stick to their hours unless the power goes out! That happens sometimes during a big storm
How are the shakes here? I always go straight for the Chai Tiramisu nami, but I've always wondered if the strawberry shake was worth the drive over here
The espresso shake is my go to! My dairy eating friends had no idea it was vegan!!
